By far the best Mofongo in SFL. The Puerto Rican, green plantains, dish is served on a wooden pilón, a mortar and pestle, used to mash the fried plátano verde. on our most recent visit I ordered my Mofongo with fried pork chunks and Arroz con Gandules. WOW! They were cooked to perfection crispy outside while very juicy inside and the rice was grainy and tasteful (its never mushy). My wife had her Mofongo accompanied with rice and red kidney beans and the Baby Churrasco which was also very tasty. Try their alcapurrias(stuffed friters), or the pasteles(puerto rican tamales if you may) theyre to die for. After moving to South Florida I was craving my favorite Puerto Rican dish, Mofongo, I searchead and searched until I discovered this exquisite restaurant. Ive lived in Weston for over 19 years and is definitely worth the drive and then some. Rosa, the owner, has seen my kids grow. Shes family. When I have friends & family visiting they insist on coming here. P.S. They serve COLD Medalla beer!

Am I the only one that thinks their website is horrible? It has these barely readable fonts that seem confusing and tacky. Then the food is way beyond over priced. I visited el rinconsito thinking it was the same as the Rinconsito Latino thats in Coral Way an believe me, it was a huge difference. The food I got here was sloppy and watery -_- I dont know why and you get less items for more money. For example, their breakfast is $4.99 and it brings eggs, ham/bacon/sausage, and toast and milk. Then an added $2.50 for pancakes. While El Rinconsito Latino in Coral Way offers Two Eggs, Sausage/Ham/Bacon and several other side options, along with your choice of grits or fries, pancakes, toast and milk for $5.99. More food for less money. Thats my kind of place.

This has to be one of Miamis best kept secrets for Cuban / PRican food or I was just in the dark. Ive been here a few times now and Ive never had a bad meal. Their claim to fame is their Mofongo. Its great but heavy. It comes with little pieces of chicharon (pork rinds) in it. I prefer to get it with Masas de Puerco (Fried Pork Chunks) and let me tell you, those Pork Chunks may be the best Ive had. Ive recently been told that their arroz con gandules is something I need to try so thats next. By the way, the place is very affordable and the owner (looks like the owner) is always there and on top of everything especially the service.

I have always been tempted to try bha! bha! due to its rave reviews and great-sounding menu, but was a little nervous about taking a group of people there, thinking that everyone may not be able to find something to their liking st a Persian restaurant. I couldnt have been more wrong! My group of four was THRILLED with everything we had - including the freshness, flavor, creativity and presentation. The decor and service were both well-done, and we cant wait to go back! A fantastic restaurant in a great 5th Ave South location

The restaurant is hidden away with its location. There is parking. The restaurant has ample seating and quick service. Most of the staff only speaks Spanish, although they do their best to communicate in English. The food prices are reasonable. I had the monfongo (crushed plantains), fried pork pieces, and peas and rice. I enjoyed it all, although the pork could of used more seasoning. Overall, this place was good and I would return. I would recommend.

The service are this restaurant is excellent. The waiters and waitresses work as a team and are very attentive. I had the chicken it was seasoned well and juicy the steak was tender and the tilapia is awesome. I came to try the mofongo and it was different but it is meant to be eaten with the rest of your food and when u for the layer of flavors is phenomenal. The price for a family of four a little over fifty bucks you cant beat that.

Upon entry I was immediately greeted. The bread that came out before my meal was so warm and yummy. My waitress was very polite and helpful. The portions were so good I had left overs for two days to follow. The only thing I wasnt too excited about the rice. You could tell it was boxed rice but they did add some of their own spices to it. Overall though I would definitely recommend.
