Well that was interesting. Stopped in for my first time tonight for dinner. The website boasted over 30 beers on tap, but they didnt have even one porter or stout available. The waitress did not know what IPAs they had (got a feeling she didnt know what an IPA was). No beer menu was available to look at either because it was apparently not updated. Anyway, right after ordering our food, the waitress began a very long sales pitch for a new discount dining service (for $30 per month) that the restaurant was pushing (called Pay half). We were trying to be polite and said thanks but were not interested, but she kept pushing it another 4 times during our visit. We were there with a couple of our friends and none of us had a good taste in our mouth after that. One of my friends asked for chicken on his salad, but the kitchen forgot it. Waited 20 more min for the waitress to come back to tell her. After he was pretty much done eating his salad, they finally brought out a small side dish of cut up chicken, barely lukewarm. It wasnt taken off the bill, just $2 taken off the add chicken charge. When the bill arrived, ours had parts of our friends bill, and vice versa. We just paid it to get out of there. Then, our change was brought back, but inverted once again...our friends got our change and we got theirs. (Bizarre!) Was a complicated mess but we just wanted to leave... didnt want to hear anything else about the sales pitch. However, when we stood up to leave, you guessed it, the waitress gave us her referral number to use if we decided to purchase the dining discount program (for $30 a month). They must get a great incentive for selling it. Couldve forgiven the rest but the the whole sales spiel made for a very unenjoyable experience. Most likely will not be back.

We have given you enough time to fix your mistakes, but 3 strikes and you are out! Strike 1, we went there 6 months ago and the service was horrible and food took a long time to come out. I tried to order 4 different beers off their own beer list and they were out of every one! Strike 2, we went back 3 months ago to give you another try with a person who had never been before. Again, we waited for at least 45-min for our food. Our friend ordered a flatbread pizza and when it finally came to the table, it looked like they ran across the street to Winn-Dixie and bought a small frozen pizza and served it to her! Strike 3, we were craving tater tots and they have always had good ones. My wife ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the cuban, both with tater tots (on a Wednesday night at 7:45pm), 40-minutes later our food finally came out. The cuban was at least 300-degrees and hard as a rock. The tater tots and her chicken was just above room temperature. I could only stomach 3 bites of the cuban before I gave up. Never saw a manager and felt sorry for our server. This used to be one of our favorite places to bring people and the place we would always go to celebrate after every local triathlon or half marathon. But the quality and the kitchen has gone so far down hill, we will never go back.

Well it started off with us waiting 20 minutes for our drink orders. Next, when our waitress finally came, half of her butt cheeks were hanging out of her shorts. After she took our order, she proceeded to avoid all eye contact when walking past our table for the next 90 minutes while we sipped on our waters, that she ignored to refill. When we finally received our food, the fries were luke warm and the fried chicken was somewhat soggy. When my mother asked for some dipping sauce for the chicken she forgot about it, but didnt forget about the large partys multiple refills of beer and fries. After waving her down to ask about the sauce, she rolled her eyes and gave us the wrong sauce. When she returned to the large party next to us with a pitcher of water, we asked for our first refill of the night and she told us that she would comeback with a fresh pitcher of water. 30 minutes later she AGAIN avoided eye contact, totally isolating us, yet she spent enough time bending down to another large party of men across the room. We paid our bill and gave her no tip, which she rightfully deserved, and in return we got a loud, sarcastic thank you from her. So in all, the Brown Boxer gave us the worst service we had ever experienced and gave us over priced, cold meals.

Myself and two others went here for the first time after living here for 35 years. My friend asked the waitress what was on wrap and asked to exclude 2 items. They were still included and the Philly wrap tasted like something you would get at McDonalds. I ordered the Po boy which was listed on the menu as being served on a fresh pressed Cuban bread. It came on a plain jane hogie roll. Finally we all split grouper cheeks. The cheeks and fries that came with the sandwich tasted like they were cooked in old grease. 2 hours later weve all been to the bathroom and are having stomach problems. -bad experience with wait staff -bad experience with food -using old grease to cook food in getting all of us sick. It was also at 11am on a Friday so no excuses of it was a busy day -to expensive for whats being served This place is the very definition of a tourist trap. Also dog poop beside the deck where we ate, had to move. The operation and staff just didnt really care.

Ive been here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. The lunch crowd not bad the food was OK but service not so good. I figured theyvjust opened so room for improvement. Then last Saturday went for dinner around 7 and the place was crowded and there was no hostest so people were just hovering over tables waiting for people to leave. Its one thing not to have a hostess on a Tuesday but Friday night. Seriously! We felt rushed the whole dinner not to mentioned we had to ask the server twice for everything. And she asked me to take plates off the tray because she couldnt hold it correctly.. its circus there. Maybe a good spot for drinkers but definitely not a place for family dinner

I give them a 5 star! I went there and got horrible service from a waitress that took 5 minute breaks each time we asked for something. Was served a shrimp salad with 3 shrimps cut in half. WTF! I called the owners in Clearwater Beach and let them know what happened. They were extremely upset and very apologetic. I know they corrected the issue because the next time I went in I received excellent service. The smothered chicken was delicious and the place was jumpin! These guys took a negative and turned it into a postive while still retaining me as a customer. You have my business and support. All the best in 2012.

I just moved into the neighborhood. I had been here 3 times in the last 6 days. I went in tonight and sat at a table on the patio. I waited 25 minutes and no one acknowledged my existence, let alone waited on me!!! 3 different servers walked by me at least 3 times each and no one said a thing to me! It is a shame because I now live about 3 blocks from this location and I think the food is really good. But, you have lost me. I told the manager and he said, "oh, sorry sir". That was it? I guess they really dont need my business and unless you have time to kill, they dont need yours either!
