This was my first visit but most certainly not my last visit to Paiges Root Beer. My son and i walked in and went straight to the giant white menu to start constructing the burger of our dreams. Paiges offers large selection of tops the menu is very clear and informs you of the free toppings and the toppings that have a cost which is helpful (there no guessing on cost this way). They offer single, double and triple patty burgers l, the patties are on the thin side and not overly wide as i couldnt see them very easily on my burger but the patties were cooked perfectly (tender with just the right amount of crispness) the bun is toasted which keeps the bread crisp from all of the juicy fresh beef, i ordered a triple with american cheese, bacon, lettuce tomato, grilled onion and mayo. The bacon is very crispy, thick cut and full of flavor, the lettuce and tomato where fresh and crispy, the grilled onions were cooked perfectly and flavorful. We ordered a large cheese fries which was enough to feed us both, the fries are average size and the cheese is a sauce (like cheese wiz) not fresh melted cheese but none the less they where ok (Id try the onion rings next time) my son also ordered a root beer shake which he said was really good. One last note is this place only accepts cash. Paiges is a little hidden gem in Citrus county and after tasting there burgers i can see why it was voted best in Citrus County.

Truly excellent burgers that are a little on the smallish side. Not Krystal small, think more Steak N Shake size. The fresh, not frozen meat is smashed on a grill and cooked till the edges are krispy, which sounds a little over cooked, but they are actually perfect. Buns are buttered and grilled. The very generous portion of fries were freshly cooked, and the root beer was also very good. Im not understanding the reviewer who implied this place is expensive. In a day when a burger and fries at most restaurants are running $10.00 with no drink, I thought the prices were downright reasonable, even when compared to a fast food chain. The place itself is on the small side. Clean, with a little 50s vibe going on, but decor is nothing special. The burgers and root beer are a nice departure from the usual chain burgers or the thick steakhouse/sports bar burgers, and it makes this place unique enough that I would almost expect to see it (with a little spiffier decor) charging big money in an upscale shopping center or mall. With the reasonable prices, fresh meat and large portions of fries, I dont know why anybody would eat that mass produced crap they sell up the street.

We went to the Inverness location yesterday for the first visit to Paiges Root Beer. We were the only ones in the place. The burgers were great. Love the toasted bun. The fries were hot and crispy/ the root beer was kind of flat and way too sweet. All in all we loved it and will return. Today we went to the Lecanto location. Very small but the place was packed. We ordered the same thing as yesterday. The bun wasnt toasted but the burger was still good. The root beer was much more carbonated and less sweet. Also had a banana shake. Very creamy, not overly bananad, a little too big for me. For $12.45 for a meal for two.....great value, good food, great service.

Food is OK. Burgers are snack size. 1st time we came here last week and root beer had free refills. Today the owner wanted to charge me $3.60 for refills. I asked her why last week it was free. She ignored my question and asked what the Person looked like that gave me the free refill. I am not about to get anyone in trouble. I own a business and would have honored a refill request. I just spent $15 on 3 burgers. Geeez. Give me a break. I will not be back nor recommend it because of the attitude. Plenty of other excellent places in the area.

GREAT burgers but not enough seating. All tables are for 4 people so 1 or 2 people take a table and the groups watch you till you are done, very rude.I really dont believe you can have a truly great burger place without fresh cut french fries, that separates "good" from "GREAT" Im just old fashioned I just cant take too many frozen fries although theirs are OK for frozen.Every time I have ordered root beer it was always flat.If you want a soda they only have the large bottles and the expensive ones! Price wise its not cheap so be prepared.

This is a great place to grab a burger and some root beer. Its a modest place, not much above a hole in the wall. However, I dont think people come here to sit in fancy seats and eat on expensive tables. They come here for great food! What is lacking in decor is made up for in the food/price. A family of three can get away with eating here for $20. The menu is very simple, which is good. Id recommend their burgers (many toppings to choose from) and onion rings. Definitely will be returning here every time I am in the area.

After reading the reviews, I expected this to be a burger that would blow me away.... not so much the case. It was decent to say the least. The shaved steak sandwich that was a special for the day was far from good....never in my life have I had a steak sandwich that tasted like sugar was added to it . Let alone the jarred or canned mushrooms that were on it... fresh mushrooms are better and cheaper... I gave two stars because the onion rings are great... root beer tastes flat, milk shake had no flavor.. wont be back...

We went there expecting an exceptional burger.....just another hamburger, nothing special. I did like the small size and the fries were good. Maybe they were having an off day. The root beer was good though but I am not a big root beer drinker so this is not high on my priority list of things to drink. The place was small but very clean and the people were really nice. I gave them 3 stars not for the burgers, but for everything else. The burgers i give 2 stars.

We stopped by the Lecanto location on our way home from a road trip (I was the guy with the big mustache). Its unfortunate that theyre over an hour from where we live otherwise wed become regulars. Great (and very very reasonably priced) burgers, good fries, and very good draft root beer. My girlfriend got a root beer float and really enjoyed that as well. I can only hope they do well enough to someday open a location in Tampa.

I really want to like Paiges, but the quality is very hit or miss depending on when you eat there, and getting down to brass tacks, its really just a more expensive, small-town version of Steak n Shake, except shakes are substituted with flat, bitter elixir they try to pass off as root beer. Youd think a restaurants flagship soft drink would be delicious, but Id much rather knock back a sarsaparilla at another burger joint.
