First time to this restaurant with a group of 8. Service was slow in all phases. It seemed as if there was not enough staff to handle the tables. Half of our table received their meals and half did not. Then we were told that they were having a problem with their propane in the kitchen. The group that got their food was done and it was now 1 1/2 hours that we have been sitting. I finally got up to find a manager and there he was sitting behind a empty bar doing who knows what other then going out into the restaurant and informing and apologizing to customers. Food finally came and was ok. Manager did take 50% off our food bill only after we complained. Very poorly handled by manager. Will not be back.

The food was atrocious. I ordered the gyro platter and was served something that looked and tasted like it was left over from the lunch service (7:00 at night). The meat was cold and had bits of bone in it. I stopped trying to get the bone-bits out after three pieces. The slices of onion which were served on top of the dish were wilting. The fries were cold (no one enjoys cold fries). The salad had old lettuce mixed in with newer lettuce (notice I wrote "newer" and not "new"). The pita bread was stale and tasteless. Ive had really great Greek food and mediocre Greek food here in Tampa at two other locations, so I wont be back. Look for a great Greek food on Dale Mabry.

Service was horrible,15 minutes before she came to our table..empty drinks constantly had to keep flagging down asking for more..bread was hard..my $40 mixed grill wasnt medium it was burnt and dry and when I complained they picked threw it telling me which meat they would recook and what they said was fine..I said just keep it and you take it home..they still charged me and kept the food..lol..never again,,been a loyal customer to this place but never been to this location and dont recommend you go either..its kinda trashy inside compared to the other 2 we go to..

I was looking forward to enjoying my meal here since this location just opened in S. Tampa. Sorry to say we wont be back. When we first sat down in their white booth we had crumbs and long dark hair all over the seat. When we brought it to the attention of the waiter he took his bare hand and wiped the booth down. Im sure he didnt bother washing his hands after doing so. Disgusting! The water glasses hadnt been cleaned very well either as there were lipstick stains on the rims. The food was ok. We wont be back for a long while.

If you like authentic Greek and Mediterranean food the best option is ACROPOLIS GREEK TAVERNA ( West Kennedy Bldv in Tampa) We decided to celebrate our wedding there last night and was the best choice we made. Exceptional and so delicious appetizer, main course, drinks and desserts. very professional and efficient Manager " Billy Arvanitis" and his crew with so much charisma and dedication ...you guys are the best!! thank you all very much. this place is highly recommend for all type of event. We needed a table last minute for 8 people. Acropolis came to the rescue with a warm welcome. Our waiter was friendly and helpful, but perhaps overworked and a bit rushed. Food was good but not special. Part of my dinner came about 10 minutes after our table was served. The music and belly dance at the table was a plus for the ambiance. Restaurant is large, comfortable with suitable room between tables. Come here for a solid reliable dinner but not a special experience.

Without exception, Acropolis has the best gyros anywhere. My favorite meal is their signature Acropolis Salad which is a Greek salad with gyro meat. It also comes with chunks of feta and pita bread. I have yet been able to finish one. I have tried many other items on the menu and have never been let down. They have multiple locations. I have been to this one, the one in St. Petersburg and the one in Ybor and all of them have the same quality of food and service.

Really bad service, everyones food came at different times, and somehow the waitress forgot to put my order in, so I ended up with nothing, when asked about what happened to my food, she said she never rang my food up. Well I guess the music should not be too loud, so they can hear what the customer orders. Food is good though, at least in their other locations. She apologized in the end, admitting she probably forgot. But what matters is, I wont come here again.

Zero parking and valet seems to be random nights. They throw napkins in the air like every other greek restaurant but then leave them all night on the floor so they really just become stepped on dirty napkins everywhere... Food was good but the decor lacks creativity / warmth. Feels cold is the best way to put it... Average is better than bad but lots of better options in Tampa. Sorry guys.

Loved the food, ambiance galore creative & vegetarian options, flavor, atmosphere, food music was a bit loud as it was difficult to have conversation however exactly what to expect when going to an authentic Greek restaurant breaking plates & all..dancing.. belly dancers perfect for the right celebration if thats what youre looking for it definitely is a fun upbeat experience!

Gyros were generous and reasonably good. Greek side salad fresh with a light dressing. Restaurant was quite loud, hard to hold conversation. Service mixed, refilled tea promptly but even when asked only brought one take home box when most of both meals still on plate. After 5+ minute wait for check stood by hostess stand another 5 minutes to get someone to take payment.

This location is very different from the Acropolis in Ybor. The setting is more upscale and very sedate. If you want the live music and entertainment of the Acropolis in Ybor, youll have to go to Ybor. Here, there is light background music and a quiet, calm atmosphere. The food is the same - delicious and plentiful - but its a completely different dining experience.

Arrived at 8pm. Our party of 19 was seated within about 5 minutes. Drinks ordered shortly after. Amazing service with our large group that hadnt given advance notice of our arrival. Food excellent, quite authentic. Very nice atmosphere, with Greek music playing. Even treated to a dance by the wait staff. Thank you for a wonderful venue for our office Christmas party.

The server was great but the quality of the food changed drastically for the worse. The chicken kabob was very chewy, dry with smaller pieces, and it no longer came with delicious vegetables... peppers.etc. They definitely changed the quality of the food and presentation. We always have came here on a regular basis and probably will never return.

Food is good but the service is HORRIBLE!!! They are the slowest restaurant Ive ever been to and I tried UberEats with them and they ruined my order and when I called they took three times longer the second time around. GO to the one in St. Pete, Ybor, or other because the South Tampa one is terrible!!! If I could give zero stars I would.
