Ho-rri-ble service. The food tastes really good compliments to the chef/cook but they take their customers for granted. They sit you down, disappear, and leave you waiting for an inordinate amount of time. They act like they are super busy but in reality they are just disorganized. They even ignore the phone in case you try to call for take-out. I realized they purposely ignore the phone when I was eating in one day and the phone kept ringing and ringing and ringing and none of the staff picked it up. It’s a shame that a place with such good food would have such bad service. Servicio es ho-rri-ble. La comida sabe muy buena porque el chef/cocinero es bueno pero no valoran sus clientes. Te sientan, desaparecen, y te dejan esperando un tiempo excesivo. Actúan como si estuvieran muy ocupados pero en realidad son simplemente desorganizados. Incluso ignoran el teléfono en caso de que intente llamar para llevar. Me di cuenta que deliberadamente ignorar el teléfono cuando yo estaba comiendo en un día y el teléfono seguía sonando y sonando y sonando y ninguno del personal lo recogió. Es una pena que un lugar con tan buena comida habría tan mal servicio.

The staff is rude poorly mannered and disrespectful, I took my family here to have a nice meal, my wife is native American and only speaks English, every time our waitress came to us she only spoke to my wife in Spanish and the waitress knows how to speak English because I saw her answer the phone and speak English perfectly, just a bunch or disrespectful and rude people, cheapskate also, just to they dont have to clean the table they throw a piece of paper over the table just so they dont have to wipe the tables down later, and trust me I bust my hump working waiting jobs before but when the 1st thing you see on the menu is the store DEMANDING not asking, a 18%tip for groups larger than 5 thats where I drew the line, I work hard for my money and I work harder to give great customer service when I work for my tips, but tiping is a system to pay for your great service, I dont like this part because if your waitress is rude or doesnt even attend your table why should she get such a large tip? Just a poor and racist environment, Hispanics only place, the worst part is that Im Hispanic and I feel unwelcome and u comfortable I. This place, and my wife doesnt need to be disrespected like this, rude staff rude crew and disrespectful employees.

Meh, it was ok. The empanadillas were good but would have been better with some higher than lukewarm temperature. We had no salt and pepper on the table, no silverware. We were warned they were busy and the waitresses were behind, Which was fine but once the waitress got there she was not entirely enthused to help us...the service-what service? we asked for silverware and were stared at like we asked for something unusual. we figured out-after she mentioned it- our waitperson did not speak English plus it was God-awful noisy in there with screaming children and adults-deafening in fact-like you cant hear the person across the table and the waitress cant hear you, LOUD.!. When our food came out an hour after we ordered (it was a busy night, I understand) the food was not hot and they use regular rice in the Paella not the kind I am used to.The seafood in the paella was good and a great deal for 20 bucks. No bread was served for some reason. I have a desire to go back but reading all the reviews about bad service and weird hours open make me say why bother?" For my money i will stick to a great place I know in Ybor that has been there since last century and has service and smiles with its great food,even if it costs more-so worth it!

pésimo restaurante no lo recomiendo a nadie esperamos más de 45 minutos en una mesa para que nos atendieran y luego que nos atendieron se tardaron 1 hora 1/2 en traernos la comida luego no tenían los jugos que pedimos y cuando nos trajeron la cuenta fue una suma execiva $25 por un mofongo que ni gusto tenía.Primera y última vez que Cómo en ese restaurante mejor me voy a la guagua del mofongo y me Cómo un mofongo como ninguno por $8 pesitos.Deberían de ser más serviciales con los clientes en ese lugar tanto nombre y tanto prestigio pero de verdad tremenda porqueria no se los recomiendo para nada.

My first experiance there was good, the next day i when and took a friend black male who wanted to try what the spanish culture has too offer in food, 10 mins to be seated, host is also a waiter so we understood, 10 mins to take our order and drinks, another 10 mins and no drinks i had to flag the male waiter about our drinks and he said oh yea. 45 mins pass no food we see people that came in after us getting there food, i flag down a female waiter and she told me they have a large party of people and things are slow, well we were all ready seat and order taken before that large party arrived because we saw when they were seated. I felt bad for my friend we got up ask for the manager and asked why we told her he never arrived, so we paid our bill for a beer and 3 ice teas, with no food. My friend felt bad and ask me if its because he is black and not spanish i didnt have an answer and felt bad for him. Will not go to this place again and will not recommend this place.

The food looks pretty. I had the Carrucho & pulpo salad, wish it had more of the meat and no lettuce for the price, and it would be nice if they offered an appetizer size, because I really wanted to try 2 things but for the prices it was a NO-NO. My husband had the chicken asopado, WAY TOO MUCH RICE, it literally consumed all of the soups liquid. The little flan $5 each, a bit pricey. The waitress was friendly, but needs to know her limits. Asking way too many personal questions and just hovering around us while were eating trying to conversate on a "were friends lets chat" mode. Once we handed her the money to pay the tab she actually asked if we wanted change, my hubs said YES and she said out loud how much the change would be, as if she wanted to confirm the amount of change to see if we would let her keep it all. Thought about going again to try other dishes, only if the prices were to drop some and that waitress would not serve me (she was the Cuban waitress)

The restaurant for being a Spanish restaurant is very nice and clean etc not like the typical rinky dinky hole in the wall Spanish restaurant. The food is AMAZING!!! Best mofongo in town. However the reason I would not recommend to a friend is their horrible service. They have no organization at all when it comes to the waiters, service, and set tables. You will be waiting for service forever and will not get checked on as you should. They dont greet you right away neither, it just lacks the professionalism of a nice restaurant. Also their business hours are horrible. They close WAY too early. Lastly they NEVER answer the phone when you are trying to place a to go order making you drive all the way down there and having to wait for the food to be made, lacking the convenience of ordering to go. For the food its worth a try for sure however the more you go at least me personally the more disappointing or frustrating it gets.
