Right at 8:50pm I called the Tropical Smoothie store in North Lakeland to place an order. A young lady who later shared with me her name was Rachael, explained since it was ten minutes before closing she wouldnt be able to take an order over the phone, but if I came in before 9pm she would be more than happy to make my smoothie. I arrived to the store with five minutes to spare. As I walked up to the door I noticed a young lady sweeping and the store was fairly dark. I reached up to open door and realized it was locked. I looked at the time and it was 8:55pm, so I knocked on the door. She (I was told her name was Destiny, however, Im not sure that was her name) looked up at me and said "Sorry we are closed". I refuted with the comment "Its not 9:00 yet". She turned her head and ignored me and continued to sweep. I knocked again for the second time and she continued to ignore my knocks. I finally called in the store and spoke with Rachael. After telling her who I was and she acknowledged just speaking to me, She apologized for the doors being locked before 9pm and came to open them. "Destiny" said something out of line to her and Rachael came and opened the doors anyways. I asked for the corporate office number, Neither of the girls knew the number. I felt as though that wasnt true, because Im sure it has to be posted somewhere in the store. As "Destiny" walked in and out the of the blending area making comments under her breathe, I asked if only Rachael could make my smoothies, because I didnt trust "Destiny" nor did I want her to be around my food. She continued to place my smoothies on the blenders and ignore my request. This was clearly done with malicious intent. I have been a long time customer of this particular store. I will not to return due this poor customer serves of "Destiny" and will advise my community to use a different location as well.

I wish I had good things to say. The place was filthy and the highchair was broken. This suprises me most because this location is directly next to a childrens store that sells these types of products at low cost. I put my one year old into the highchair after whiping layers of dirt off it (dried up food crust) and she nearly slid through it because the strap was not there at all. There was no way to prevent an injury in this chair. I went to the back to change my baby and there was no place to do that either and the bathroom is equally as gross. Bleach would help a lot here. The ceiling is covered in dirt and the windows and floors were gross. I will not be returning. If you have kids, avoid this place like the plague - its screams public health inspection failure.

My 9 year old daughter went up to get her free smoothie for having on flip flops and because it has a design the teens would not give her a ticket for one they told her her flip floos were unacceptable as because they had design and looked like sandles even though there wasbno strap for the heel. So when she got back to me crying i called to ask what a sandle was? They said a shoe with no strap. I said thats what i thought and they needed to say something to the teen at the door. The girl on the phone had to ask the manager about the flip flops and toldbthe manager i was yelling at her over the phone.. She was too stupid to cover up the phone so i couldnt hear her talking about me. Over all bad experience.!

Dirty, very poor customer service from the girl at the counter. She continuously rolled her eyes and messed up at the register and had to re-ring everything. The smoothie blender is 2 feet from the register, so ordering is a shouting match. After blowing $20 on very little food, my wife took one bite of her wrap and immediately tasted pesticides...so the veggies werent washed. I then took a bite of my sandwich and it wasnt made correctly. We took one bite and left our food on the table and walked next door to the Chinese buffet. Would give a negative score if I could...hands down one of the worst 3 experiences Ive ever had at any establishment.

Terrible customer service I go because of convenience and they are the only game in north Lakeland but the juice box is coming and I will stop coming. Kids talk about their nights out dont care if you wait. 30 mins waiting for 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies when my wife made a moment about service kid was a smart a$$ and said sorry but could truly care less

Nice front counter lady with a Southern accent was more than helpful suggesting sandwiches and smoothies for a first timer...Excellent food and smoothies and after a long walk it was just what I needed. Very friendly and fast service and she came around and asked how everything was!

I love this place! My wife and I like the Island Green smoothie and the Avacolada. Nothing but great service and smiles from the employees every time weve gone in there. The food has been pretty good too the times that weve eaten there although we dont eat out that often.

My wife and I went in for some smoothies, and they were insipid at best. The bananas used had to have been green, and neither smoothie was even remotely enjoyable. Weve been to other Tropical Smoothies in past past, and this has been the worst by far.

Great location...very clean and staff is friendly... had the Caribbean Jerk chicken bowl... super spicy sauce... great tasting bowl!.. definitely eat here..SMOOTHIES are awesome too!

Sweet treat. Love this store and staff was very nice. Priced a little bit high but I guess thats what will keep me from eating here constantly. Good for my tummy bad for my diet
