I absolutely love this place .. its the very definition of southern charm and grace. I frequent it often .. Matthew and his staff provide quality fresh and very tasty dishes cooked to order. Eggs Benedict selections. Spectacular and varied crepes .. from breakfast , entree , or dessert ones. Always fresh daily specials .. usually including a breakfast meal , a quiche , and a burger of the day. If you come at peak times expect a lively crowed place .. its popular and very busy speaking volumes to its consistency. I enjoy sitting at the circular bar .. you can watch where a majority of the cooking happens .. especially the crepe preparations .. Matthew is engaging and entertaining. Make no mistake .. the quality , preparation , and ingredients are always fresh .. and the coffee comes in from a boutique distributor in New Orleans. Breakfast and extended lunch hours only. One of Spartanburgs shining stars .. I guarantee it. Any complaint anyone would make about here was just poor luck or are rarely satisfied with their dining experiences anywhere. Just by the diversity of the crowd everyday .. young and old .. you know theyre hitting their mark and delivering an exceptional product without fail

The pro is: the food is great. The con is: it is a small and very tight quarters! This is gross but here it is, a male waiter sweats alot in the summer!!! My husband has been with me 3 times the last time he said I cant go back there again because of the waiter! He wipes his face and forhead with his shirt sleave while he takes your order. He did this all three times my husband was there. Today I took my mother there. Again they are always busy. there was three empty tables one that seated 6 and one seated 4. All the tables that seated 2 were full and would not be available for at least 15 minutes. The waitress said we could sit at the bar (which would not work for my 83 year old mother) or we could share a table 4, 6 or 8 with strangers,She seated 3 people at the table for 4. There were several couples waiting because they would not seat them. We left and I wont be back even though the food is really good. They really need a biger place or have all 2 seat tables and they can pull them apart or put them together and train their employees how to take care of their hygene. Done!

First of all, be prepared to wait. Everyone in Spartanburg has also discovered Mon Amie. Its located in an oddly located, pale yellow building, you cant miss it. Inside a comfortable crowded seating area and bar where you can watch the cooks. Although busy, the staff are always helpful and pleasant. Im not a pancake person, but the family loves these with all the different toppings. The wife loves the Chunkey Monkey. I favor the crepes, havent had the dessert ones. The New Orleans crepe, a meat and vegetable concoction is well worth. Dont forget to start with a basket of fries for the table, fresh and crispy. They have many specials, the Shrimp and Grits are noteworthy. The only dish I didnt really care for was the Shrimp Po Boy, kind of dry. Overall one of my top restaurants. Once again the ding would be the wait. There have been many times I wanted to go there, but wasnt willing to wait. I think they should consider expanding as it is certainly a place I would like to visit more.

This out of the way eatery has a happy atmosphere even on the busiest of days....I got my husband there on Valentines Day and Saturday before Mothers Day. He was very satisfied with the Georges Big Boy breakfast, twice, but has vowed to try a breakfast crepe next time after being seated at the crepe bar. I love the Monte Cristo for lunch or for breakfast, french toast and not so hot pepper bacon and having my tea served in a ceramic teapot. It has well appointed Parisian decor without being stuffy and a smiling, polite staff. They do not take reservations but will take call ahead seating so the wait is a bit shorter once you arrive. They have outdoor seating and a drive thru window for phone orders/take out. If you want a pleasant change from the many ordinary breakfast or sandwich restaurants, treat yourself to Mon Amie.

***Cons are the small size of the restaurant, you will be literally 3 inches from the couple next to you.And there is a lack of seating.About 10 tables there. And the server greeted us and brought us drinks, but never came to take our order until we had to hunt her down. And the parking spot lines are faint and hard to see. ***Pros: the food is hot fresh and high quality.Beautifully presented and is by far the best breakfast in Spartanburg!Yummy textures and flavors really pop!!!Everything seasoned and cooked perfectly.Tea is sweet but not enough to throw you into a diabetic coma like some places.Food came quickly.Offer outdoor seating.I couldnt recomend this place enough! Not a single complaint about the food!Clean establishment and restrooms as well.At a redlight intersectiom,so easy to get in and out of.

Very good food, BUT, they have a RUDE customer service. They get really busy, quickly, due to their reputation for high quality food, but once their restaurant space is filled, inside and out, they are not able to accommodate more people. When this happens, they become highly tense, and it is understanble, BUT that does not mean you let people wait ONE hour outside for a place to eat and disrespect your clients when you call them to tell them you are ready, but itll another 10 minutes. Seriously?! Youre going to make me, the customer, wait 10 more minutes and hang up on me when I tell you I left and you need to be better?! They NEED to expand, be more considerate, and above all else, SHOW CLIENTS RESPECT, because customer satisfaction is everything.

It as almost a 5 star. But I had to hold back do to coming up just a short on some things. Let me start by saying everything that we were served was delicious not one complained about the taste of the food. Some of the orders presented to us had nothing extra. The crepes were not very filling and we do it maybe a little side salad with they would have been nice. Then when the cheesecake was else severed on the plate. No whipcream no sauce no Fruit. It had a great atmosphere. I suggest you go try the placeout

The food here is reasonably priced and absolutely fantastic. Whether you try the crepes (handmade to perfection everyday) or their special burger of the day Im sure you will love it. Its a small cafe however so if you go during peak hours you will have to wait or you may be asked if you would be willing to share a table. My wife and I have shared and it was no big deal. This is by far my favorite place to eat in all of Spartanburg.

Waitet for 2 hours just to be seated! We apparently need extra room because we have a carseat. Are you kidding me?!? Oh and we get seated and another couple gets seated to a table next to us minute later. The server orders their food while were left for another 10 minutes sucking our fingers to the bones... NEVER COMMING TO THIS PLACE AGAIN!
