After complaining to the manager, the manager replied and I quote "give him a fresh one then" And in two seconds gave me a fresh one. I understand business philosophy regarding accounting (first in first out)to meet forecasting etc. the system should work like that but always be fresh. The 159 sandwich was delicious. The best mini chicken sandwich I have ever eaten from a fast food restaurant besides Chick Fil A. But the alarming thing about todays encounter at the KFC on Lake Emma Blvd in Lake Mary, Florida is that number one: I havnt eaten there in 3 years because when I went through the drive thru 3 years ago, I placed my order, and a very rude woman said here you go have a nice day, and the chicken sandwich had to have been days old for over a day it was so bad... It was as if she did it on purpose. Word of mouth advertising is everything to a business. Luckily for this location, I have high respect for Colonial Sanders (Im not kidding) and didnt tell anyone about the ordeal except my wife. So today, I went back after a long time. I would rather not say the reason I believe why she gave me a sandwich you could give someone a concussion with if you threw it at them like a baseball, because I dont like to live with a judgmental conscience... Anyway, back to today. So as always when I go through the drive thru, I kindly asked... What is the cheapest piece of chicken you have for two dollars? (I have four kids and waiting for pay day if you know what I mean),and the female responds... "Nothin". I said darn it. Ok well Im broke ( I didnt want to go to Wendys or anywhere to eat a dollar menu item. As a matter of fact, the main reason I went back to this (never crowded KFC) is because my co workers said to me... Dont eat that stuff, go to KFC... Its real chicken... All I could think about was the hockey puck from 3 years ago... So I said Ill give it a shot but I hope they have something for a few bucks.. So back to the drive thru... The woman responds "Nothen". And I said oh well. Ummm. And she cuts me off as if irritated and replies with a sigh.... "We have a chicken mini sandwich or something like that? I was confused? I first asked her if she has any type of chicken for around 2 dollars and she said no. So I say. How much is the chicken mini? She depressingly and with haste responds in a low and irritated voice $1.69. ... I said perfect!!! Im still thrown off by her extrem lack of customer service. So I get to the window the lady with the head set asked me for the total of 1.79. And that is when I say ..."3 years ago I had a horrible experience and I havnt been back since, is there anyway you can make it on the house (something I never do ). And she responds in a rather rude way... You cant get a refund after 3 years. I said "no worries". I then informed her I havnt been back in 3 years because (then I proceeded to tell her about the killer rock hockey puck mummy sandwhich I could not even bite into). I then asked her... Are you the manager and she responded yes... At that point she in a rather rude tone informed her co worker to give him a fresh one. OMG.Two seconds later she hands me the bag and says have a nice day, after of course I paid the 1.79. I opened the sandwhich and took a bite. It was so fresh and good (healthy not the point) but just really good. The sad part of it all is the younger worker not the manager happened to be white and she handed me the bag with the kindest thankful "that a boy" look on her face as if this militant black lady purposely gives old sandwiches to white people and fresh sandwiches to minorities. Im not a mind reader and should not make assumptions but the moral of the story is... If I am kind and humble when I place my order, and have to beg for the quality that is capable from an establishment at their fingertips and given old inedible food because the color of my skin ( I happen to be white and treat all people with dignity, well than thats why I give this place one star. Colonial sanders was in my fraternity so I will be contacting corporate.

I love KFC but this place has the worst customer service. I was there on 10/01/16 at 3.30pm and went to the drive through. They asked me to park and wait 5 min for my order. After 10 min I went in side and I had to ask about my order only to find out it was just sitting there. There was no explanation the young lady passed me the box and walked away. I was already late so had to grab and go but when I got home realized my 3 piece was actually a 1.5 piece. Now I understand why Chick Fil A is always so busy.

I love the grilled chicken. The food is OK but the Staffs always...get the order" WRONG "..all the time! I said 3 chickens and I found 2? I said Mac and Cheese then NO ...mac and Cheese ... I said Coleslaw...NO coleslaw...DUH! Otherwise the food is great. ....just need smarter staffs to remember what the customers ordered!!!! Not paying for mistakes! So I havent been back.....

Just spoke to a manager, who confirmed that the chicken went from frozen to pressure cooker. Tasteless, rubbery chicken. No spices, an the smallest pieces ever as well for extraordinary prices. Drumstick the size of a wing. Wont even say the size of the wings. Disappointing to say the least. I miss the old original recipe. The Colonel is truly dead. At least at Lake Mary KFC.

Its a pretty standard KFC, nothing spectacular stood out from my experience, hence the 3 star rating. I will however comment on adding additional pieces of chicken, just dont do it. Its better to pay $5 for another meal with 3 pieces than pay $2 and change for 1 skinny chicken leg.

Not really the ideal place for a warm chicken dinner meal. They used to be great, but I dont know what happened. Now when I go here its just not what it used to be. Other than that, meh. Id go as a last resort.
