Had The Pig Lunch Special (Beef) 2016-08-25. All of the food was underseasoned. Had green beans, coleslaw, and mac & cheese. The mac & cheese could have used a more flavorful cheese but had a nice crust on top so my wife might have liked it, I prefer a little creamier myself. The green beans had very little pork flavor to them, southern green beans typically are cooked in some semblance of bacon or pork fat. The coleslaw was cloying. The meat was practically tasteless even after putting sauce on it but that may have been a side effect of the sweet tea which was overpoweringly sweet. Tasted more like simple syrup (50% water 50% sugar) than tea. Finally there was the service. After I sat down the wait staff took my drink order then my actual order in a somewhat reasonable amount of time. Then it felt like quite some time before my meal arrived at the table, a sandwich and 3 sides is not something one would expect to take more than a couple of minutes especially for the "special". A wait person came to the table one more time while I was eating to refill my tea. Then I finished and waited at least 5 minutes for someone to even notice I was done and offer to bring my check (felt more like 15). I was there on a lunch hour so time is precious and this does not endear me to a restaurant at all. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 was that I have actually had worse service (I am talking to you Whiskey River) and the price was pretty good. If you are looking for a good BBQ place 4 Rivers is not that far away and is significantly better on all counts, a little bit of a drive but Woodpeckers is also MUCH better. I would recommend the chains Bonos and Sonnys over this place as well.

Where do I start? Came here because of the good reviews. Only 2 tables in restaurant, not busy. Waited 28 minutes for our food. My husbands steak burger came our with nothing on it, cooked well when he asked for med rare. Server brought our cold slice of cheese and lettuce/tomato after 5 min of receiving our food. He said the burger was gross, no flavor and the texture of the meat was slimy. I got a fish sandwich which was ok, but The bun was hard. The side of mac and cheese was nasty, no flavor. My side of hush puppies came out 5 min after our other food. I think the server even realized how Crappy everything was because he gave us our drinks for free. The service was fine, quality of food was horrible. NEVER will we be back or refer even our worst enemy to eat there. We never complained and paid for our meal, so we decided to leave this review instead.

Fantastic! We drive from the Fort Caroline area, it is worth the trip! The food is excellent, ribs are my favorite fall off the bone tender, with white bread soaked up with the best ever sauce. I grew up on The Pig Bar-b-que at the original one at Lem Turner and Edgewood on the Northside, I have eat bar-b-que all over, but nothing compares to The Pig. Every time my sister is in town we have to eat at The Pig. With this newest location I have stopped on my way to central Florida where my sister and my daughter lives to pick up sauce for them, and last time I took bar-b-que. They were happy campers!

I work 5 minutes away and I am a big BBQ fan. Unfortunately, I went in today for lunch. Waitress was friendly and prompt with my drink. After seeing people come and go after I had been there for 40 minutes, my food arrived. I had ordered a regular BBQ beef sandwich, french fries, and baked beans. Baked beans were microwaved so hot you couldnt eat them. 3/4 through my sandwich I find 2 half green beans in my sandwich. I didnt order any green beans ! Sorry Pig ! Poor quality food led to a poor quality rating. To top it off I was late getting back to work!

First I want to say, Ive lived in the south my entire life and have eaten barbecue everywhere from franchises, independents, food trucks etc. Today I went to The Pig for the first time, and I was actually shocked from how good it was! I got the rib plate and these ribs were HUGE. I dont think Ive ever seen ribs this big. And even though they werent already marinated or with sauce on them without me putting it on, they were pretty good! Macaroni and cheese and black eyed peas were legit. I know now to only order the two rib plate though

1st time coming. Pam was are waitress horrible service, she only came to the table twice after taking are order. Took over an hour to get are food. We only got half of the order because the other half was taken to a table of 7 that came in 30 minutes after us. Took 20 minutes to get the other half. Drinks sat empty for 20 minutes. Ribs were burnt black and had no meat, pork was dry with no flavor. Only thing that was good about this place was the ranch i soaked everything in. Will not come back and would not recommend to anyone ever!

My family and I visit The Pig often and normally the service and the food quality is not quite to par but we are not the type to complain. Tonight, we had a completely different experience! Zebby was our waitress and did a phenomenal job serving us! She was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure a legendary experience! The food was also much better this go around! We really enjoyed our visit to the pig this evening and will look forward to returning and will request Zebby for sure!

I go there quite often for breakfast but I get it to go.. The food is good but the atmosphere just doesnt fit me.. Jasmine is the most awesome waitress you could ever have.. Shes always a huge laugh.. And if you dont mind Fox News playing all the time.. Youre okay... I kind of just tune it out lol In short:The food is good order to go if you dont like Fox News.... If you get Jasmine tip her extremely well she deserves it

We frequent the Pig on the weekend for breakfast. Great price and breakfat is cheap and awesome. Our Grandsons love going here for breakfast. We go quite often for dinner, cant beat the prices and food is very good except the fries. Only complaint is they need to offer sweet potatoes and sweet potato fries. Some of our friends dont go there because sweet potato is a must with their babaque.

Look... The food here is always good. I prefer the lem Turner location, though. The service here is always spotty. The wait staff are nice and all; but they always seem like they are flustered and overwhelmed. Even when the volume isnt too bad. Having worked in the hospitality industry for a long time, it seems as if the management could staff a little better. Good food, though.

Our first time here, food and experience was great! The Mac and cheese side was delicious, and the pricing for the amount of food was extremely favorable to the customer! Great service and free soda refills (including a to-go refill)!! Overall it was a great experience for people who want a BBQ dinner with quick and friendly service! The only thing missing was corn bread.
