Unfortunately, one of the worst meals Ive ever had- I hope management gets a chance to read this as Im going to write this more to help than to hurt- Valentines night- 6 pm- My wife and I walked in w/o a reservation and the entire place was empty except for 2 other tables- Management- theres your 1st clue that somethings wrong We were seated, greeted by a friendly and courteous young lady who gave us menus and a separate sheet with the nights specials. My stomach doesnt do well with Mexican fare but my wife loves it. I searched the entire menu for something that didnt have the following adjectives: Fire, chipolte, mole, etc, Nothing on the menu but one of the specials on the sheet was salmon, with again, some kind of chipolte sauce but I figured I could omit the sauce. Within a couple minutes of ordering, our waitress came back and explained shed been given the wrong nightly specials sheet and apologized but the salmon I ordered wasnt offered this evening. I searched the entire menu for something tame and the only thing offered was a cesar salad which I ordered. My wife ordered the soft shrimp tacos. Our food came 10 minutes later and my cesar looked like itd been through a snow blizzard of cheese. There wasnt a single crouton in the salad. It was pretty disgusting. My wife took the 1st bite of her shrimp taco and I watched her eyes water up in front of me. She ate 1 of the 3 tacos with 5 glasses of water. The tacos were served with beans and rice which were so spicy she couldnt take more than 1 bite. The waitress was kind and professional when I said the dish was over spiced and Id like it taken off the bill which she did without batting an eye to her credit. To the owner- You have a gold mine here. You have a beautiful restaurant on Gulf Blvd but your place was empty on one of the busiest days of the year. You will be closed in 6 months if you dont take heed to what I write. If I were you, Id change your menu adding at least 5 dishes for people like myself who want a Mexican alternative. #2) Whoever is cooking needs to learn how to add spice to food without it overwhelming the entire taste of the dish. #3) Train your staff. Its Valentines night and we were handed the wrong specials sheet. Our waitress said shed been there 2 weeks and had tried 3 things on the menu so her guidance on what to eat was non-existent. In the parking lot, we ran into the people who were eating at the table next to us. I asked if they thought the food was over spiced and they said they felt the same way.

Unfortunately, this was not The best experience for us. My wife and I ate at Aqua prime last Friday evening and were far from impressed. We pulled up to valet and waited 10 minutes for someone to show up and park our car before giving up and finding parking ourselves. The restaurant was not terribly busy and we were seated quickly. I must say that we were initially excited when we received our appetizers, as they were beautifully plated an very tasty. While the Shrimp Colada was essentially a knock off of Bonefishs Firecracker Shrimp, it was still delicious although it was strangely paired with a coconut dipping sauce that was cloyingly sweet and went untouched. The raw tuna app was absolutely fabulous and beautiful to look at. That is where the good experience ended. Entrees came and we were very disappointed. My wife had the gnocchi which is served in a shredded pork raghu or bolanese. The gnocchi was a bit over cooked, the red sauce tasted like something from a jar and the pork was chewey. Presentation was less than appetizing the dish looked more like a chunky chili. I had the scallops with a coconut curry sauce. The scallops were overdone... No absolutely hammered, which, in my book, is a culinary crime. The cocunut curry sauce was vastly under seasoned and bland. The accompanying cocunut rice was passable but the mixed vegetables were over cooked and mushy. The service was pleasant and friendly and our server gave us recommendations and answered all our questions but this was not a fine dining experience. Our empty app plates sat on our table for the duration of dinner, water was not refilled, our entree plates were handed to us across the table rather than walking around and placing them. We had a bottle of wine that we poured all night even though the server came to the table several times when our glasses were low and even empty. There are too many excellent restaurants on the beach and we will not be visiting this one again.

Had a reservation at 6:30 on a Wednesday, arrived and couldnt find a parking space. Drove around in traffic and eventually parked 2 blocks away and walked. No valet parking and no open parking spaces. The decor and ambiance was average, with the exception of a nice glass sculpture chandelier and a dolphin fountain out front. Started with calamari, which was barely warm and served on a bed of cold mushy fried veggies. Suspect this appetizer was either sitting under a heat lamp or just sat too long before being served. Next up were the salads, which were an up-charge as salads are not included with entrees. We had a house and Caesar which were excellent. My only complaint there was they were very small salads, and considering we had to pay extra I would have preferred a larger portion. There was no bread or any kind of complimentary food at all. We had the Caribbean Rock Lobster tails, which I suspect were previously frozen due to the fact that they were pretty bland and slightly undercooked. The server was mediocre, not refilling my water glass or checking on us. Overall this is not a good value. Barely average food and service for premium prices.

Lunchtime business meeting for Simple Weddings. We periodically stop in to the restaurants and locations we recommend to our clients so we can be sure we are giving informed, quality recommendations. This is a large, nicely appointed restaurant in IRB. Outdoor patio is a nice option for al fresco dining, but it does need more landscaping to obscure the fact that youre facing the parking lot. House Caesar was a little too heavily dressed, and my medium rare chimichurri steak was more medium. Our server, Sierra, was friendly and attentive and kept our drinks filled. The manager, Donna, also checked in at each table to make sure customers were satisfied. No beach views (which is the norm in IRB), but the dining room is lovely, service is friendly and timely, and the ambiance is warm. Prices are typical for this area on the beaches, with lunch for two costing just under $40 with tip (the price for coffee always shocks me in this Starbucks age. Especially since I spent a few years in restaurant and bar service, so I know the markup).

First, we showed up late because of my wifes grandmother. They ended up cancelling our reservation. They must of understood my plight as we walked in with 3 seniors over 80 and a 21 month old toddler because they got us a table. It was even outside! The service was head and tails above what I expected. The food was great! My wifes steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. My Blackened Shrimp and Scallops tasted great. Its a dish I would get again. The beer list was just okay but this seems like a place for a good mixed cocktail.I didnt expect a large list so I wasnt very disappointed. My wifes martini was the best she had on vacation, according to her. The prices are a little on the high side but for the service and quality of the food it seemed worth it to me. If you know me you would know that I dont like expensive upper class restaurants but this one was fun, tasty and satisfying. You wont regret having a meal here.
