OVERPRICED TOURIST TRAP. The service was unbelievably bad. The food was mediocre with both veal dishes being very tough and the sauce on one being loaded with corn starch for thickener. Even with reservations, we had to wait for our table, then it was over an hour and a half before our cold main courses were dropped off, never to see the waiter again for another half hour (Im not exaggerating). Even when we asked to speak to the manager, he finally made his way over after another fifteen minutes, only to display a bad attitude and providing the lame excuse "we were busy". No apology, no concession, only an almost a contemptuous disdain for our complaint. There are FAR better choices for Italian in the area (try Alfanos in Clearwater-an AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant). Never again, Luigi, you are a very poor restaurateur capitalizing on your location on the beach. As locals, we will never return.

The picture on the internet is old, more tables are fitted into this wonderful restaurant. There is a good deal of green scenery that can be viewed from every table and each view is excellent. Service is Wonderful! Your own personal waiter/waitress serves you for the entire meal. The menu has a wide variety of Italian dishes. A gluten free pasta is offered which made the restaurant a favorite with me and the locals! Offered are many pasta/seafood dishes which was cooked fresh and was to die for! The marina sauce is cooked from scratch as well as the pasta. My pasta dish was wonderful which included the marina sauce was wonderful! Delicious! My only drawback on the restaurant is they only have a liquor license for wine and beer. Not a big issue, I decided then I was the designated driver.

Our decision to dine at Villa Gallace was based on the number of stars it was given -- this was however misleading, as this proved to be the worst dining experience we have ever had. First the restaurant seemed dingy and the food was absolutely revolting. I ordered a basic Italian appetizer, bruschetta, with one bite, I gulped what seemed to be about 2 tablespoons of olive oil -- of course that was the end of that. My husband also failed to eat his appetizer. Our main courses were by no means worthy of us eating it ; and in a bid not to look too bad, we asked our waiter to pack our food to go -- which we dumped as soon as we returned to our villa. On a positive note, the staff and manager were quite engaging and very attentive.

I wish I could give a better rating because the wait staff was very friendly and Luigi (the owner) was very nice and pleasant to talk to. The ambiance was decent and sitting outside near the water made an excellent evening. The bread and oil they served was delicious but never got a new loaf even though the server said they were bringing one. I hate to say it, but the sauce is not good. It was very watery and flavorless. Overall, the food itself was less than average and overpriced, but the owner, waitress and ambiance were so lovely that we still enjoyed ourselves. I would go back for a bottle of wine and an appetizer.

I wanted Italian while we were on vacation and thus found this restaurant a few miles from us. The reviews were great and we were not disappointed. My dish was probably the best pasta meal I have had in a long time. Spicy marinara linguini with clams, muscles, shrimp and calamari. Im getting hungry just typing this. The caesar salad with homemade dressing was amazing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. You MUST MAKE RESERVATIONS. The place isnt large and was busy the entire time we were there. The place was very clean and family friendly. When I go back to Indian Rocks this will be my first stop.

If you love authentic Italian food then Villa Gallace is THE place to go.Im a frequent diner here & go at least once a week and always take family and friends when they come for a visit. Besides having a wide selection of food choices the wine list is tops. Im always greeted with a smile & hug by the owner and staff who are impeccable in their attire and professionalism, remembering my name and nuances regarding my life situations, trips Ive taken, etc. Portions are large & more than reasonably priced. Now, Im getting hungry...for what? ? REALLY GREAT ITALIAN FOOD!! Ive never been disappointed. ❤️❤️❤️

We are foodies and somewhat finicky when it comes to our dining experiences. Villa Gallace is good. It is not exceptional. My meal of chicken Saltimboca was just undersized, with good flavor but lacking the right amount of crispy prosciutto to make the meal memorable. My wifes was the seafood Portobello. It contained 3 tiny clams 3 medium frozen shrimp, 3 scallops which I ate, not bad, and the pasta was under done. It was too toothy and the flavor of the dish overall was unimpressing. Id give them a solid 7 of 10 overall.

Every year for about 20+ years, Frank and his baseball buds (self included) have come to Clearwater to watch the Phillies in spring training, and every year we have made it mandatory one night to dine at Villa Gallace. I dont know whats better, the food or the service, both are superlative. Luigi the owner knows us all on a personal level and delivers hot, high-quality Italian meals that grandma would approve of -- my mouth is watering as Im writing this! Anyway it was high time one of us wrote an awesome review so here it is.

I am a local, but never took the opportunity to experience this restaurant until last evening. Villa Gallace is wonderful! The service was impeccable. The food arrived timely. Our waiter was there just when you needed him and just perfect. The food was delicious! I have never tasted a more wonderful sauce in my life. The portions were large, and slightly pricey, but there was plenty to take home. Desserts looked wonderful, but we had no room! Will most definitely go back again. This was a wonderful dining experience!

My self and my family have been going to this wonderful restaurant for aprox. 15 years. We have been here hundreds of times and we have never been disappointed ! The food is the BEST in FL. If you dont like the food here than you just dont know good Italian food. The service is always top notch ! The prices are very reasonable for the quality. The restaurant is always clean and the decor is beautiful. I own a local business in the area and i always tell my customers to try the best Italian restaurant in FL.

We like to come here for special occasions because we are never disappointed in the quality of food and service. Tonight we took my parents there to celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary and had a lovely time. Service is 5 star along with the food. The homemade gnocchi is so light and delicious and the sauce is like no other. The rigatoni puttanesca was perfectly done and so was the lasagna. For the perfect ending to the fabulious dinner, I highly recommend the homemade tiramisu and coffee.
