Only one star because nothing is lower. Im unsure about other sonic drive ins but after my last visit I will no longer be going to a sonic because it almost cost me my life. Yes you read that correctly my life! I am deathly allergic to peanuts and I had ordered a shake and asked pleas no peanuts well half way through the shake guess what there were peanuts in the Oreo shake. This is not the only reason I gave them a 1 star rating as I could understand that accidents happen. After recovering from my epi pen injection and the whole having to go to the hospital I called a few days later to tell them the person who answered was rude and said no manager was available I dropped it at that and just decided to boycott them. I had been going their sense they first opened sadly I have watched the workers moral and customer service decline and that is why I chose to write this review. If you dont suffer from food allergies and really dont care about customer service then I would recommend it however beware if you do because customer service is not so great and after many request for no peanuts some how in the middle of my drink peanuts appeared I would like to believe it was accidental I just wonder how they got in the middle of the shake.

I have disliked this Sonic since we have moved here, but sadly, this is the only location in Homestead. Customer service is horrible. We sat there for at least 10 minutes and even with employees walking in and out of the door, no one bothered to say welcome, we will be right with you, when you are ready to order, come up to the register. Anyway, we ordered our food and were told they only had 10 burger patties left, no fries or tater tots. Really? Then all of a sudden, when our friends ordered their food the grill had "overheated". The manager then came out and said the fryer was good (fried chicken tenders, etc.), but the grill would not heat. Which is it? Their store hours on their website do not match the actually store hours they are open. I had reported this to corporate because it was misleading, but 3 years later it still says the same thing. I guess they figure since they are the only Sonic, they can keep treating their customers like crap and run out of food. They will not be satisfied until someone decides to start a boycott or petition to shut this place down. Sad state of affairs....

Disgusting.. the food here does not match up the expectations that sonics had installed in there customers. I came here and pulled up to order ; ordered a couple of meals .out the all the meals I ordered they were missing a kids toy , 2 hotdogs, cheese on one of the sandwichs, a breakfast burrito ,and a small order of tots. My husband went and asked for these things and the ridiculous staff there looked at him like he was the problem.. ? Then a young male came up to the car and stood by the window not saying a word so my husband looks out the window and the guy says yes , can I help you ?....my husband told him I already explained the situation to your co-worker who was already skating towards us with the food they owed us . The young male continued to ask for a receipt* that we never even got* and when we told him we never got it he looked at us like we were lying. Get better employees.Not coming back here .

Food was good, horrible customer service. I had an issue with their ordering system. I paid at the pull up ordering station and the monitor said "transaction approved". When the attendant arrived with our food she asked for payment. I told her that I paid and I provided my card in case there was an issue. The manager returned and said it was declined. I provided another card and checked my account only to find the original prchase was deducted. When attempting to explain the situation, the manager insisted that a receipt did not print and there was no transaction. I provide my bank statement on my phone and he told me I would need a bank statement for a refund. Although I had provided one. Good food... Annoying service.

My family and I just went to this Sonics location and were looking for some quick food but we ended up waiting 20-30 minutes to get our food. The lady came and gave us our food and then left. While we were passing out our food we found out we had no straws and I had to get out of my car and walk in to ask and they said they had RAN OUT of straws and the lady hadnt warned us so they gave us spoons instead for our milkshake and SODA. Lastly, we ordered a burger and asked for no mayo, onions, or ketchup and guesse what they put mayo and we also ordered a chicago dog and the pickle was larger than the hot dog itself so it fell appart of how soggy it became.

Ok, I love Sonic, and have been a customer for years, couple decades, the food at Sonic Beach is great.....when they get it right. I do not understand how its possible to mess up simple food, then I realized, they dont listen, they cannot be listening, which means the employees do not care, and they dont care because management doesnt care, because if they did, my order today would have not been missing an entire burger or have a slush with zero flavor added. The sad thing is that I only visit maybe twice a month and inevitably half of those times our order is messed up, and how you mess up a plain burger with only cheese is beyond me

6/25/13 - Still have service issues. My friends and I waited 30 mins for 3 shakes before asking if they had a problem or lost our order. The manager seemed unconcerned, but another crew member, Eric, got everything settled and made it right. I commend him for that. In the past, I have gotten sick off of a meal of popcorn chicken and a chocolate shake with whipped cream. The drive-thru always seems to take forever as well. I only come here if I am desperate for good mozzarella sticks and half price shakes.

This sonics was fantastic at opening but the store has deteriorated some since... Such as a couple of the stalls I pull up to do not accept credit cards anymore and it seems like the staff has a hard time understanding me through their system. How the burgers are prepped have gone from classy to sloppy now as well when I added jalapeño to my burger they just piled a fistfull in the very center of my burger instead of laying it out over my patty like they used to...

Horrible!!! To order you need to scream to the intercom...and anyways they take wrong your order is said mozzarella sticks and the reply back fries or tots ....and happens with Avery single thing you order until somebody put you like on hold for 10 minutes and send another person to your window to take the order .....i havent came in a while ....and i think that this will be the last time .......when they started everything was fine now the service has declined.

The food is always good so Im giving it stars for that but the service is kind of bad at night alot of people walking around or sitting doing nothing with customers waiting if your not in drive in or the parking lot expect to wait for a server. The food came kind of fast so that was cool but the service needs improving. Customers are LITERALLY the business so they should be greeted app arival with menus and orders should be taken in 5 mins or less.
