Our party of 5 arrived during off peak hours. There was one table with a party of ten already seated and had drinks. There may have been 6 others present but 6 arrived after us.Service was terrible! We waited for 30 minutes for a waitress to take our beverage order. Then we waited about 20 minutes to have our food order taken. We waited and watched as those that came in after us received their food. After 1.5 hours, we left. At that time 4 waitresses were watching and 2 asked us why we were leaving. Not one person apologized for the wait or offered an explanation. Three people in our party had been there before about 2 years prior and remarked how good the food was. We were very disappointed with the service! If there had been a full restaurant then it would have been different. The Port lost good customers over poor service. Makes us wonder how good the food would have been!

We went to the Port to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary and we were so disappointed with the service. They said it would only be 35 minutes and we waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Since they put other folks ahead of us we said "can we sit in the bar, there are some tables there?" They let us and finally took our order there. It was 45 minutes later our food came lukewarm. I ordered a baked potato and fried shrimp but no baked potato but a sweet potato. They said they would bring me a baked potato but they never did. The shrimp was delicious so that was one good thing. Donnie had a steak and it was good but meal was lukewarm. We felt that they could of cared less if we came so we will not go back... If they only would of let us know how long it would of been. Where is the manager watching over the employers?

Stopped by on a weekday afternoon as I made a delivery right up the street. There was only one other party dining so they werent busy. Had to go track down the waitress to get a refill on my drink. Was even standing by the serving station for a bit, the owner was there (at least I think she was the owner as she was bossing the workers around) She looked right over at me, holding an empty glass then just turned around and started barking orders again. Not impressed at all. Almost felt as if I was intruding. While the grilled grouper sandwich was tasty, the portion was very small for the $13 price. The fries were crispy and also had a good flavor. Bottom line, the food was really good but hard to get past the poor service. Doubt I will return.

A bunch of us older gals had lunch there, and we had a great time! The weather was perfect so we sat out on the screened porch... great views of the canals and lake! The food was very good, but not outstanding. But what was outstanding was the care we were given by our server, Joey. First she had us choose fictitious names (which she remembered). Then she gave us her very honest opinions of the items on the menu... good and bad! She taught us how to make their delicious fresh broccoli, but best of all, she took really fantastic care of one of our members who has a memory problem. What could have been a very embarrassing situation was handled beautifully. So we all thank you, Joey!!!

We waited 15 minutes for our server to notice we were there. He took our drink orders and returned another 15 minutes later with them. We then ordered dinner with soup and salad. 2 other tables were seated ant that time. They had a different server. They had their dinner and almost finished, still no soup or salad. We asked for the manager and she took 10 minutes to arrive. She apparently didnt care if we had dinner or not. When dinner came the baked potatoes were not washed . There was mud underneath the tin foil they wrapped them in. It was like a third world experience. Never again.

My wife and I plus our 2 children decided to go for dinner. We waited for over 40 minutes to get a seat in a more than half empty dinning room. We then sat in the dining room for another half hour without even being recognized that we were there. No drinks, no one said "we will be right there", nothing. We finally got up and left. I had tried multiple times to get the staffs attention, but they just kept running around and giving me looks like I was interrupting them.

Several issues with our meal...supposed to be Crown and Coke, but was a call brand, we sent it back...our friend ordered surf and turf and was supposed to get a filet mignon, but got a New York strip ...I ordered mahi mahi and it was like rubber...waitress took it back, the second one wasnt as bad, but still not fit to eat...A friend ordered a sweet potato and it was the size of a "birds nut"...needless to say we wont be back...

Wonderful and cozy atmosphere! It is a great place to relax and have a nice meal! The food is good - not fancy gourmet - and with a "home cooked" feel with prices that are slightly high, but worth the overall value. Being a native of North Florida, the food and the ambiance and decor (not to mention being next to water) reminds of the Yearling restaurant near Micanopy and the "restaurant row" Gulfside at Cedar Key.

Found this place my mistake a while back and i cant even tell people where it is because i cant pronounce the street name. LOL. But really, food is always good, never had to wait, but i hear sometimes there is a line. Waitress and owners have always been great. They have inside seating or outdoors on the screened in deck. Very relaxing place to go and have a quite meal.

The absolute worst! The worst clams Ive ever had in my life....50% sand. Terrible service. ..only deducted the items that were bad so we were charged for our few beers and clam chowder they let get cold before reminding the waitress I said I needed old bay for it....so basically our night out was...on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 1. Get your act together!

Ive been craving gator for a while and finally got some from The Port..all I can say is, at least their fries are good. VERY disappointed to say the least! The gator was very bland and looked like processed meat. Again, at least the fries were good.

It was food hood but nothing amazing. Server was nice but the lady on the line getting the plates ready to go to the tables (the expo) touches ready to eat food with her bare hands in between answering the phone without washing her hands.
