Disappointing. I tried to order the gyro platter and was told that the gyro meat isnt the best and was instead suggested to order the kefta kabob platter. I was hesitant to order it, but did due to the staffs suggestion. After waiting quite a long time, our food finally arrived. The person who took our order asked how the food was and only made eye contact with my husband. My husband stated how delicious his food was and asked about how the fries are prepared. No eye contact was made with me, and I had no opportunity to relay how I did not like the suggested meal. The texture of the kabob was closer to a rubbery sausage and it was nearly unflavored. I ended up only eating the salad and bread that came with the platter. I believe that if restaurant staff suggests a meal, they should ensure that their suggestion was well received. If I was local, I wouldnt return. My husband would... But without me. Two stars given as 50% of our party liked the food and the service was lackluster.

I put a 1 star because when I arrived there last night (Feb. 10th) experienced a bad customer service from the cashier due to of him having another customer cut right in front of me when I was ready to order my food. I dont know if theyre buddies or not but those guys were undecided of what to order when I saw tyem looking at the menu pretty hard and I told the cashier that I was ready to order my food. As I was was speaking he let them cut right in front of me and they ordered theirs first which is not right. I did let the cashier know this personaly and he didnt totally ignore me. I just want everyone to know that this place sucks when it comes to customer service and also serving your food (Takes too long). Im aware its not fast food but damn ! They take soo long to serve. Just saying.

As much as I like hanging out with my Moroccan friends at this place, I have to be honest. My friends and I have always been complaining about the quality of Moroccan tea in this place. It is high time you guys make Moroccan mint tea the way it should be. MMT is more than just a tea. It is the trademark of Morocco. We Moroccans take pride in talking about the Moroccan tea as we recommend it to people from all over the world. It is disappointing and embarrassing that no longer can we recommend Moroccan Mint Tea in Moroccan restaurants the way we pride about it. It is also un-Moroccan and unpatriotic to fail to treat customers Moroccans or otherwise with the hospitality and service that Our Moroccan ancestors spent their lives building until it reached a well respected universal reputation.

Fantastic food, more than reasonable pricing, friendly service. Dont expect fine linen or great table service here-- I think the other reviews miss the fact that this is simple counter service. Consider the homemade yoghurt as an appetizer or dessert, it is exceptional. For main course we tried the Seafood Bastilla and the Merguez Tagine. Both were amazing and not to be missed-- great for sharing to enjoy the very different flavors of each. If we ever return to Florida, this is a spot not to be missed for a meal. Thank you Merguez for a great experience!

Despite being hidden away in a dark unlit shopping plaza, Merguez has no problems attracting customers. When we visited, we were surprised to see that nearly all the tables in this small restaurant were filled. Surprising, considering the sparsely filled parking lot. Once we received our food, it was easy to see why. Everything was extremely flavorful without being overpowering. Perfectly cooked and perfectly seasoned. If you are in the area, Merguez is definitely a place worth the trouble of finding.

Horrible experience. This restaurant used to have great food. Now, every time I order from here, the food is never served the same way. When you ask for spicy they give it to you not spicy. When you ask for not spicy, they make it spicy. When you give them instructions on how you want your food, they never follow it and do not care when you complain about it. They take a long time to serve food. Horrible customer service. Will never go again.

I was in town for a tech conference and this was the closest halal restaurant to my hotel that had good ratings. I visited here 3 times during my visit and enjoyed the food each time. I tried mixed grill, chicken bastilla, chicken briwat, kefta tagine & mint tea. All were good but not a big fan of merguez sausage. Although it is located on a very quiet strip mall every time I was there they were relatively busy with several tables occupied.

Delicious authentic Moroccan food. All of the tagines are exceptional! The khobz (traditional Moroccan bread) is always fresh and delicious. The appetizers are scrumptious, and their salads are the best! Service is ALWAYS with a smile, and the atmosphere takes you to Morocco. Willing to drive almost an hour to get there. Everything on their menu is delicious and authentic! (And the bonus, all meat is halal!)

This place has some of the best food Ive ever had! My wife and I tried the chicken and seafood Bastillas, which were shaped a bit like a thick pancake, but wrapped in crispy phyllo and filled. The seafood Briwat was also excellent, which my three year old daughter ate up. We also had the mint tea and tried some pastries, any of which would have been enough for me to come back.

Just had a lunch, Lamb Shank and Chicken Kabob. Outdoor sitting was great in the shade. Food tastes authentic. Moroccan mint tea was quite tasty. If you are sick of franchised restaurants, Disney cookie cutting commercials, and mannequin faced services in Orlando, you just need to come to this place. This is a hidden gem right in the middle of everything.

This place serves some delicious food! I recommend the Merguez tagine as well as the Chicken tagibe. Oh, and the Beef Briwat! Ask for the Moroccan salad too, it isnt on the menu! SO DELICIOUS. Flavorful, well cooked food. The customer service is excellent too. definitely come here again when I am in the Orlando area.

I wanted to try Moroccan food for a while, and this place is crazy good. The food tasted great. I loved the flavor and the presentation. I really liked the Moroccan tea, and the way they serve it in the cool little tea pot. The resturant staff were very helpful and nice. Definitely going there again.

I hadnt ever had Moraccan food before and it isnt really my taste but the food was a great price and the staff was extremely friendly! Besides that, I had the best cup of coffee I had ever had in my life and a super tasty dessert so I would definitely go back for the coffee and birmat!

We went on a Saturday evening to experience Moroccan food. I got that 5 meat plate. It was really bland and dry. I guess my expectations were for some interesting spices and flavors but my hopes were dashed. The mint tea was great and the counter people were very nice.

Tremendous!! What I loved the most is that they were not willing to compromise the flavors and spices. Too many Mediterranean restos feel the need to adjust their flavors to suit an American palette. What I tasted was authenticity. Well done!
