R Place is a hidden gem in Haines City. Im not sure why their cuisine is listed as Pizza. I would say its more of a diner. They do have plenty of Italian options, but also many other choices of sandwiches, salads, American favorites, and German dishes. One of their best offerings is the buffet. They only offer it certain nights a week, but the chef puts some great options together for a very low price. He is especially skilled with desserts. The best pineapple upsidedown cake Ive ever had, and Im not a big dessert eater. The service was friendly, knowlegable and offered great suggestions. The atmosphere is not great, but we were comfortable and try never to judge a restaurant by its cover.

I heard great things about this place so I went twice just to be sure my experience was really as bad as I thought. The interior is FILTHY & the food is sub-par. The breakfast buffet is a joke; the food on the buffet is obviously old & never rotated. We witnessed more than one waitress physically touching the food on the plates before bringing it out of the kitchen. I guess they thought no one could see them... Hepatitis, or worse, waiting to happen.

It is one of the few places in Haines City that I know of the serves breakfest. Anyway it is standard food with specials for breakfest and lunch. I have never tired the pizza but my friends like it. I liked the cabbage rolls but they are one of the specials and not served every day. The prices are reasonable and the portions are not too big or too small....just right. Lunch has a soup and salad bar that is small but fresh every day.

I used to eat at this establishment on a regular basis. Its not worth going there now days! I noticed over the last few years, a huge change, the service is awful, the food quality & general cleanliness is questionable. It is basically "Gods little waiting room & for those about to return to their maker!" and, Its the restaurant that catches all the over flow from Egg City.

Driving down Hwy. 27th through Haines City, you would probably overlook this restaurant, but be ready to be pleasantly surprised by the food and the staff. It has the atmosphere of a diner but the food is somewhat more sophisticated, although its "down home" and with good prices. I liked going there and would go back for more.

Real American dinner like something off the movies, went there most mornings for brunch before hitting the parks. The loved the fact its a genuine place and not a chain. The one hiccup is it turns out the owner is a Yorkshire lass but hey ho you cant have it all and she is showing the yanks how to do it properly

If you want some cream of tartar gravy and biscuits this is the place. Very salty, fatty, over cooked bacon, I dont think a dog would eat. And that annoying buzzer, cant they figure out a nicer way of signaling food is up. Not my idea of a $20 breakfast. Now I know why there was no wait to get a table.

Horrible I will never eat there again. Megan our waitress was unfriendly and seems angry. She served our food and we never seen her again. It took them 10 minutes to seat us and the restaurants was almost empty. I felt uncomfortable and I hope it was not racially motivated. My food had to much salt.

I had not been there before tonight. I wanted the liver and onions but they didnt have calves liver, so I opted for the pork chops instead. Glad I did. They were hand cut, huge and boneless too. My meal was served with two sides in addition to two dinner rolls. I will be back.

Down from New Hampshire and this was recommended to me by the service writer at Polk Freightliner while they worked on my truck. Glad I checked it out. Great service, food and friendly atmosphere. Much better than the same ol same ol of the truckstop.

Not bad at all...will definitely eat here again whenever I pass thru. Right next door to Pilot truck stop too. I had fish platter...shrimp, clams, and cod. Not on menu but they made it up for me for only 12.99. Service is nice also.

Twelve years in Haines City and this was my first visit. There is a nice variety of foods. The place was very clean and the server was friendly. Service was pretty quick. I will definitely try this restaurant again.

Fast service, good food. I would recommend trying the specials or just stick with the Haines City Slaw Burger. The server, Alina, is sweet, prompt and efficient. Ask for her! We will come again. (a local reviewer)

The staff very attentive and friendly. The food i ordered, 1 waffle, 2scrambled eggs and bacon strips were very dry and were charged separately so the total bill was over 10.00.

Dont order meatloaf,you should probably stick to the Italian dishes. The waitress was very nice,bathroom was clean. I would go there again just not for meatloaf.
