I am a local and the food, service, deserts and ambience are amazing ! Imagine dining at the Ritz Carlton for the price of McDonalds. Awesome ! The owner personally puts his signature on each plate, before it leaves his kitchen and with a salting of pride. PRICES are incredibly REASONABLE!! Servings are enormous. Theres something for the most discriminating palate. They have something for kids up to seniors, from ages 12 to 92. Notwithstanding a special kids menu for 12 and under. The entire operation runs as a teamwork relationship of management and enthusiastic employees with a genuine goal, to maximize customer service. If you dont stop here? Youre making a big mistake. Youll miss a Farm-Fresh- Style meal and at a ridiculously low price. I am stating this without any qualifications whatsoever ! By the way. Last night was Friday. I arrived shortly before 7pm. They were packed. Despite being on *.*.*OVERLOAD*.*.* I was pleasantly seated in 3- 4 minutes in a quiet and quaint booth. I departed for home at 7:45pm. And, last night l had the Rotisseried slices of their USDA Black Angus Prime Rib, mashed potatoes & aus jus gravy. Apple sauce, fresh baked, home made bread & butter, their Award winning coffee AND a cup of their clam chowder. "What -A- Meal. And heres the BEST PART .. The bill was a meager $12.89. l am Not kidding

Of two people eating lunch and both caught Food Poisioning on March 16 ,2017 ! 2xs now on two seperate visits within months , from ordering same each time for lunch, tuna melt & tuna salad sandwich! On first visit ordered cold ham sandwich, the waitress didnt asked if wanted toasted or not ? bread came toasted didnt want toasted & menu didnt say toast!! Long wait atleast thirty or more minutes to get served your food order!! Waitress didnt ask if wanted more drinks we had to ask for refills on ice tea & no lemons after had ordered ! Not a very clean place to eat dishes, silverware & cups look not cleaned & not cleaned off tables very well ! On every once a month visit never much parking spaces left park! Ordered key lime pie didnt taste very fresh .Overall vist not a happy customer due to lack of sservice of food took to long and contacted food poisioning! Wont step foot back in there anymore an will make known to all family & friends whos also complained of all of the above ! "Anonymous Customers Very Unsatisfied "

1 year here and saw all the good things being said about this place...had to check them out. I ordered the meatloaf dinner and a slice of pie (to go). Was pretty late in the evening so maybe is why...meatloaf had offensive flavor and soggy texture. Really not good at all. The gravy wasnt very good either. Side of mixed veggies were hot and crisp, cooked El-dante (I like that) and tasted good. The mashed potatoes were hand-mashed & lumpy (I liked that) although under-seasoned. Fresh thick cut French bread was good and soft. The clam chowder was really good... excellent cream base maybe could have used more clammage. Service was very good. It may rate a "go back and try something different" trip. Pie: Key Lime Pie is almost (if not) as good as Rodes Seafood in Bonita Springs. Hope Owner/Chef sees this...ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS make anyone who enters your kitchen wear a hair net. Is imperative anyone and everyone who comes in contact with your food or ingredients be wearing a hair net. I will say no more here.

Sunday Early Bird Special crab cakes was horrible dining. The crab cakes were barely warm, the coleslaw had little dressing and was dry. The crab cakes were edible, but the portion was small and the platter presentation was poor...one slice of brown-edged lettuce that looked old and wilted. Ordered a side of french fries...waitress forgot and argued I didnt order. My dining mates corrected her. My friend had the same crab cake platter with the same one slice of lettuce...her lettuce was OK, not brown and wilted. Upon paying my bill, the owner argued the lettuce was brown from the heat of the crab cakes. The crab cakes came lukewarm, not hot, and the lettuce could not have been brown from heat. Overall poor service, poor quality, lots of dust on window blinds, owner cannot take a constructive criticism. Will not go back. Much better restaurants within area. Screw this hole!

Best broiled cod I have ever had at any restaurant. I made them promise to never change the source of their cod. It is consistently good. My husband loves it too. He also loves the shrimp and grits ... a daily special, dont think it is on the menu yet. If you like shrimp and grits, he would recommend it. Havent heard anyone I know that doesnt like the food or menu. I like their vegetables that they now grill on the grill. When they grill them long enough to caramelize some, they are delicious. It is a very nice family style restaurant. Good prices and great food. They have a guarantee too...if you dont like, they either redo or bring you something you would rather have. Ronnie and his girls set a great example with what an excellent family restaurant should be like, friendly and great food. They want happy customers.

So after 15 years of coming here, Im sorry to say I probably have had my last dinner at Sunset Grill. Why? First, one of the star menu items was always the fried chicken - four good sized pieces of very flavorful chicken. Usually Id eat two and take the rest home. Not this time, these were the smallest pieces of chicken Ive seen outside of a TV dinner! Flavorful yes but not worth the $13+ cost theyve risen to. Second, the waitstaff was extremely swamped, looks like one person has to cover what two people used to. Finally the "host" at the register was as inattentive as he could be. I guess he was the host because he rang up our purchase but he was dressed in a t-shirt and didnt say a thing to us. Overall, Sunset Grill has gone from an super place to a just ok place. Such a shame!

1970s called and wants their restaurant back...and they cant have it! Decor down to plates screams antique which makes me pine for The Dispensary in Las Vegas. Food is rustic and hearty portions. The vegetables were seared on a flat top that gave it a great flavor! Beer was reasonable at 7.95 a pitcher. Table had fried cod and calm strips both were ample portions. So...one claim to fame is nations best key lime pie with awards to prove it. I have to say its the best Ive ever had! Its like cheesecake with a tang to it. The crust just melts. The only drawback is the crowd is old enough to remember Ol Ike as president so for younger folks that dont want to hear about the war it might be a turn off.

Ive been to this place a few times and Ive never had a problem with the service the waitresses are extremely kind and move quickly, and my food always taste great, along with the amazing pies. But one thing that freaked me out was the management staff or in this case I guess itd be the owner, Zukie I believe her name is. More than one occasion of being there Ive heard and seen her screaming at her employees, harshly. And I mean loud like loud enough that Im pretty sure half the dining room could hear because I know that I did. Its extremely unprofessional. People come to your restaurant to eat and have a relaxing dinner. Not to hear you scream and cuss out your staff.
