Customer service sucks hardcore from Amanda, a manager there. She treats people like crap and doesnt belong in the service industry. My wife and I had been going here for a few months. Weve probably been 6 or 7 occasions in that time. We had mixed experiences for a while, but then had an experience yesterday that will end our trips there. Our waitress (Theresa?) seemed new, not sure. We ordered half a pound of boneless buffalo wings and two small side salads ($1.99 ea.) We had done this 2 or 3 times previous to this visit, and had settled on this being a mainstay for our selection. We had even been served this by Cheri, another manager there, a few days prior. However, when Theresa brought the food, she brought 2 house salads. We got her attention and reminded her that we had ordered the side salads. She assured us that these were the side salads, so we ate them thinking maybe time of day affected portions. When she brought the check, she charged us for the house salads, not the side salads (we later found out it was because Amanda told her to. $5.99 ea.) She said that you can only order the side salads with an entrée. We thought that’s what we had done by ordering the buffalo chicken and felt clarification was asked for when the salads were brought, but none was given. We felt bamboozled. The waitress had been dishonest, inflating the bill, but I didn’t have time to argue as I was late getting back to work from lunch already. My wife, however, wanted to stick around and talk to the manager. I paid the bill and left, she stayed. The manager spoke to the waitress first, with my wife a couple feet away. Upon hearing the waitress’ part of the story, Amanda told the waitress she had done the right thing. Upon talking to my wife, she was short, had a chip on her shoulder, and was very obviously not interested in hearing out our story. She said they were trying to phase out the side salads and that the boneless buffalo wings didn’t count as an entrée. My wife protested saying that they did to a number of other waitresses and another manager (turns out Cheri was even Amanda’s boss.) My wife was dismissed, being told she could call corporate and given a phone number. No answer at that number. Later that day we returned to Mugs and spoke to a different manager, Steve. He was new and was in training, but was already a much better manager than Amanda. He listened to our story, agreed that we should not have been charged the house salads, and offered the difference in price via gift card. He was interested in keeping us coming back. One thing was left to make that happen. My wife wanted an apology from Amanda. Steve felt she deserved one, and went and got her to come over to us. Amanda’s apology amounted to an “I’m sorry you’re wrong, I will never really apologize,” type of apology. One bad apple spoils the bunch. We won’t be going back until Amanda is gone.

Went to watch the football game...These people are thieves! They told me that their drink specials were Buy One Get One free. Great! I made perfectly sure before I ordered that I could order a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke and it would be included in the BOGO special. It was. I also asked our waitress "Windy" if I could get both drinks in the same glass. (Thought it would be easier for her...Again, she said fine.) When she brought out a small glass I was confused, and asked if that was the double. She said "no" and proceeded to take my drink away. I told her it was fine; she could simply bring out the "free" drink later...Well, she brought out a tall glass later and I asked her if this was the "free" drink? She said it was...She said there were 2 shots in there, but the extra shot was on her because "she messed up"...I told her she didnt have to do that but it was very much appreciated. Later in the game I ordered wings and I ordered a second drink. This time I was told it would come in the same glass. Great! The service was slow, but the wings were great and I still was a happy camper despite what was going on in the game. Lol. When the waitress was ready to present us with the bill she proceeded to tell me that I was being charged for an extra round of drinks. I told her that was not acceptable to me and she needed to adjust the bill. With that, a manager (?) came over trying to explain to me that I ordered 3 drinks. I told her that I did not order 3 drinks and that she should talk to the waitress because I was told something completely different! She kept interrupting me with..."You dont understand" when clearly, I was the ONLY one that understood EXACTLY what happened. She argued with me and finally adjusted the bill which was exactly what she should have done from moment one. No argument. No controversy. I was RIGHT and she was flat out WRONG. I will NEVER step into that place again. They will lose out on some very loyal patrons. While I am quite sure that "Windy" received a decent tip, she is dumb as a bag of bricks and should have simply admitted her error. You simply cannot tell a customer that something is FREE because you made a mistake and try to charge them for it later. NEVER AGAIN! My whole experience was ruined! Good riddance Mugs and Jugs. I deserved an apology.

My coworkers and I stopped in for lunch today. We arrived with 8 of us close to noon. We couldnt believe it the place was packed! We were promptly greeted at the door and directed to a table, in which our waitress met us at as we were being seated. We expressed to her that we were in a hurry as we were on our lunch break. She assured us there would be no issue at all. Our waitress then went over the specials with us, boy did we feel like we hit the lottery. Tuesdays are buy one get one Free fajitas. They were very flavorful and came out in a timely manner. Although we couldnt drink seeing as we had to go back to work we did take notice of anywhere upwards of over 20 different draft beers on the bar located inside. We had plenty of TVs to watch that were spread out on various sports channels while we waited for our food. On the way to the restroom I decided to take a look around and WOW was this place huge. There was a second bar located outside with inside tables and bar seating along with a full patio. Also inside there was a large room which looked almost hall like. I asked my server what that room was used for she was so knowledgeable. Apparently on the weekends this entire place fills up including that room and both bars. And for lower volume and off peak hours they have private events, functions, and parties. With No room charge!! I have got to say I cannot wait to come check Mugs out on Friday night for happy hour! Mugs you guys may have just made yourself some new regulars.

Since moving to the new location, the portions have been getting smaller. After the last order we all just kind of shrugged and said that they are starting to go downhill. We order food for take out about once or twice a month . I ordered the Philly Steak Sandwich which is shown as: HUGE Philly stuffed with sautéed onions, mushrooms, green peppers and smothered with Provolone. $8.99 After the last time, I doubt that I will be part of that group order again, The philly was not HUGE, not stuffed-what it was was a 6 inch roll with 2 slices of overcooked dry roast beef, cheese and NO mushrooms peppers or onions to be seen. I got exactly 13 french fries with my order. I called and talked to the manager, she did offer to make a new sandwich, but I only get 30 minutes for dinner and just the drive to go get it was not worth it. She took my information and said she would mail me a certificate the next day for future use, but its been over 2 weeks now and that has not arrived. Just want them to know that there are products leaving their facility that are disappointing their customers who have a lot of other choices where they can get food ....
