So I googled Smokey bones Clearwater and smokey bones Clearwater Mall 2693 gulf to bay Clearwater came up called them off the site to see how laye they served and looked at menu menu 1/2 chicken 2 sides $12.49. Pulled pork Sammy $7.99. Got to restaurant menu 1/2 chicken 2 sides $15.19. Pulled pork Sammy $10.19. Asked waitress about discrepancy in prices and she said "oh weve had 2 price increases in the last two months and thats googles prices u have to go to the website showed her the website manager came over said basically the same thing except said yes she was concerned the drastic price increases was going to put them out if business. Told me to call corporate and complain about lack of update of the prices. Ironic everything else was correct. Ordered 1/2 chicken and upgraded my French fries to loaded which cost $1.99 more so the half of chicken was now $17.18. So my chicken arrived the size of a Cornish hen and the $4.19 loaded fries consisted of 12 French fries in a small oval dish not a typo 12 French fries with small amount of bacon tomatoes and scant cheese. When I commented to the waitress this 1/2 chicken looks like a Cornish hen she said oh I dont know what a 1/2 chicken is suppose to look like I always eat BBQ here but stated she had worked for smokey bones for 7 years. Guess I was her first customer to order 1/2 chicken. Would NOT recommend Smokey bones $17.18 for a 1/2 Cornish hen 12 French fries and brockley.with tax nearly $20 Crazy prices I know why they dont update their menu prices the posted price of $12.49 would be too much never mind the REAL price of $17.18 Have a picture if the Cornish hen but no way to post. Their burgers r $2.50- $3 higher as well WOW shame on them

The food is extremely to salty. The hostess Ashley was very rude and unprofessional. She made many negative comments and then actually slammed the menus and utensils down on the table. The manager (either Vicki or Nicki since we literally couldnt understand her) or the lack thereof was of no help when we expressed our concerns with Ashelys behavior and attitude. The mixed drinks taste horrible and look absolutely nothing like the pictures that are advertised on the menus. The drink was supposed to be red and it came to the table as orange. The waiter some kid was of no help and not attentive at all. The "Cook" from the back came out and asked us about our food and we said it didnt taste good, too salty and some didnt appear to be fully cooked. He responded that this must have been our first time and that the extreme salty taste is from the Memphis style rub or something. No solutions or anything for our problems were EVER discussed or given at any point. The sinks in the restrooms are not all functional and overall dirty. Well, needless to say we probably wont be back to this or any of the other Smokey Bones restaurants.

Last night my husband and I ate at Smoky Bones in Clearwater Florida and it was the worst experience. The blinds had been removed from the windows so we sat frying in our seats with the sun in our eyes throughout our time there. It was too busy to ask for a different table, besides they were all that way even into the center of the room. We were told management removed them to improve the looks, well it looked just find before! The food was horrible, i usually ask for a pulled pork sammy, well this sandwich was half grizzle (GROSS!!!) and not pulled from the bone but hacked off in a over done chunk. I didnt bother to send it back because I didnt want to stay in that place any longer than I had too since it was so hot. My husband and I couldnt go out afterwards because our clothed were too soaked with sweat. That used to be one of our favorite places to go but even the good coupons available in the newspaper make it now undesirable. If you go wear sunscreen and make it right after breakfast! Our waiter however was great as they usually all are.

The place used to be awesome a few years ago. I noticed their staff began disappearing overtime and the quality of the people being hired really just came down. I onced showed up over 30 minutes before the advertised closing time and they wouldnt serve me a drink because they were closing down. ??? I put in a to-go orther. Literally 2 minutes before closing time some guy --- maybe a manager-- came out clapping and loudly asking everybody to leave. I literally could t believe it. First time EVER being kicked out of a place. I complained to management and got a form/template email or something apologizing and promising somebody would contact me. No one ever did. Used to really love the place. I would come there very often. Not anymore. It just went down the toilette. Theres one guy still working there - his name is Jordan. That guys awesome. Unfortunately things changed overall. I actually sent an email back to the lady that sent me the email and gave them a chance to make things right. No reply. These people evidently no longer care.

Got there at 8;30 February 14, 2014. Ordered a couple of your drinks then food at the bar.Came out in reasonable time but the potato was luke warm, the broccoli was cold, and the chicken was barely warm. Have you not heard of time and temperature in a kitchen. Also( chicken ) I hope the health department read these. A manager( Mac ) a girl, came over and only said, Ill make something else to go, but itll be cold by the time i got home. What a poor answer and a poor way to do business. The people at the bar was surprised at the stupid answer. Tim, Sorry about your great effort to help make this place a good place to come. You have a manager and a kitchen who needs to be certified so they can put out safe food to the public. Saul

Im giving it 3 stars because the food is always to my liking. However, they need to work on getting some staff because I ordered online and when I arrived 20 minutes late to the expected ready time, the food still wasnt ready and I had to wait an additional 10 minutes. I was on my way to my car only to realize they had forgotten my dressing which I had to go back. Then on my way to work I realized they had forgotten another sauce which resulted in the meat being very dry. They had packed everything in so many containers that it was hard to keep track of what was missing or not. & going back was not an option as they had a line of people waiting for their take out orders.

We recently moved to a community very near the Clearwater Smokey Bones so decided to try it. My husband had a rack of ribs which was sublime... VERY tender and flavorful with a nice sweet smokey sauce! My pulled pork was just barely OK.... not much flavor, too many fatty globs, kind of cool by the time I got it, just not so great. I also ordered a loaded baked potato which was very starchy and not completely cooked through. My husband had the mac and cheese which was about a 6 on a scale of 10. The pasta was overcooked and mushy and the sauce was like cheez whiz! The ribs are definitely the only way to go here and they were great!!
