Food was good but the customer service was EXTREMELY bad. So we ordered mutton Ka saalun, 4 naans and biriyani, the biriyani was SOAKED in oil and we wanted to return it so my mom and me went to the counter and said this biriyani had a lot of oil and is a lot different than the biriyani we ate last time we were here and we want a refund But no at first he starts ignoring my mom and when my mom says it in a loud voice he starts screaming at her and says if u dont like it the trash is right there. I was "whoa" I had "some" things to say to that guy but there were too many ppl so I didnt say anything but it was extremely rude to talk to a customer that way. Later...we kept waiting for the mutton Saalun for about half and hour and when it DOES come its the wrong order so end up waiting another half hour for the right and overall the service was really bad although some foods are good.

THE SERVICE IS ATROCIOUS. I placed an order over the phone, and I had it delivered to my workplace (not provided by kabob n karahi) over the phone, I asked whoever answered to give me a chicken kabob order, he placed one for chicken karahi. I dont even understand how he mixed that up. The meal ended up costing me twice the money I wanted to spend and this is about the 3rd time that they switch my order around and give me a more expensive dish. I dont know if theres a purpose behind it or not. But when I received the food, I called immediately. I was told the manager was not there and they asked for my number to call me back, but now everytime i call from my cell, theyll forward me to voicemail. Now I cant get a hold of the store. This is just a shame, I loved this place, but I doubt I will ever return. I used to drive 40 minutes to get their food sometimes. Im truly ashamed.

Went here last night with family and it was great other than the tables which were sticky. I didnt wear anything special just jeans and a button down shirt that hadnt been ironed. And i fit right in. The place looked busy for a Monday night. We ordered chicken karahi and an order of lamb kabab and both things were exceptionally good. I came to this place when it had opened some 5 years ago and I must admit that the food still taste as good as it did 5 years ago, which is not normal for desi places because normally quality goes down as time goes by. Over all the food was excellent the decor is nominal, the tables were dirty and thats understandable because of the grease that makes them sticky. Dont hesitate to go here, it is a great!

Food is decent but customer service is marginal at best. I ate at this location a lot and usually have been happy with the food but the customer service has never been amazing. No greetings, no smiles, no "thank you for your business" and certainly no "enjoy your meal. I would have never bothered to write this review until now, my 4th or 5th time doing a carry out. I usually call 45 minutes to an hour ahead. Then show up for pick up at exact time or few minutes early, only to wait anywhere from half hour to 40 minutes. Its just wrong, especially if you are on a schedule or have guests waiting at home. Today I called 6 times to place a take out order and no one picked up the phone. Usually they pick up 2nd or 3rd time.

Huge fan of this hidden gem. You get great authentic flavors at reasonable prices. I usually phone in my orders because grilling some of their meats can take 30- 60 minutes. Lamb or chicken kabob are my favorites. Meats are always seasoned well and cooked with that great grilled char taste. All orders come with a huge order of naan. I do wish they werent so stingy with their yogurt sauce and just give you 1. They feature menu daily specials. If Maiwand grill isnt open late down the street in Burtonsville this is my go to kabob place. I always see the Karahi popular with couples or groups so its definitely on my must try list. Try ordering ahead so you dont have to wait in store

The food was very good as well as hot and fresh. The only downfall of the restaurant was the service. I had to wait an extended period of time for my food to come out. The gentleman who helped me was sort of rude. I made a mistake on my order which was clearly my fault and just asked if they didnt mind changing it.I didnt mind paying the difference but he insisted that he couldnt change it because it was already being made. Mind you that literally less than two minutes prior placed the order. He then talked to someone else and thats when he charged me the difference. This was my first time here and what an experience it was. All in all the food was well worth it.

Terrific value for your money. Barbecued lamb and chicken are excellent, particularly the bone-in chicken. Kadhais (chicken or goat in wok) are spicily delicious. So is Chana Masaala, curried garbanzo beans. Naans are always served fresh, straight from the Tandoor to your table. Service is good, place clean, open, and bright. And, of course, Raja and Raza are gracious hosts and cooks. Definitely recommended as it is better than most similar Pakistani-Indian places in Manhattan where I often eat. Incidentally, I was the first to walk in to this place when its doors opened.

Overall tasty experience my first take-out visit with the Chicken Boti Kabob. The chicken pieces were big but good, and the vegetable dumpling yogurt sauce was too sour for my liking. I luckily ordered 25 minutes ahead because this place I heard can be extremely crowded. Sure enough I arrived on time only to wait 8 minutes staring at my packaged food while there is a single cook taking orders and scampering around filling dishes with food. Very crowded indeed around 4-5 pm, so I implore anyone to call ahead. You will be waiting for your food for over 35 minutes if you dont.

The rice, the chick peas, the naan bread, the boneless chicken kabobs were delicious. I like how the chicken breast of the kabobs were cooked perfectly. The lamb and chicken karahi was also spicy and flavorful. Their less spicy Karahi was good but the spicy version taste much better. We had good service when we went at 10 PM- even one gentleman behind the counter came up to our party to ask us how was everything. Nothing against this place but I think Ravis in Arlington is a tad better with their chick peas & the Karahi.

Last Saturday I took my parents to Kabob and Karahi. They are visiting from Bangladesh and they only eat halal food. The food was excellent. Haleem was to die for. I have met the owner Mohammad Reja. He made us feel welcomed. I highly recommend this place. I eat out a lot, this is hands down one of the best Kabob place in DMV area. Since my Father is very strict about halal food, this place was good place to take my parents. Thank you Kabob and Karahi for a great experience. We will be seeing you soon.
