My wife and I have preferred delivery from Pat’s because of our busy schedule. Aside from a few mix-ups, we have been happy overall with the food and the delivery time (which can be improved; we’ve been told 45 minutes and have had to wait more than an hour). On one of our free nights last week, we decided to dine in at the one in Middletown. To be honest, I was surprised with how well-decorated and classy the store is compared to the abruptness of the teenagers who usually take our phone order. The food was just as delicious and hot as what we are delivered. We got the roasted veggie flatbread to start off with. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with chicken and broccoli. It was served with a side salad and a free cup of soup. The alfredo sauce was exquisitely rich; one of the best homemade sauces I have tried. My wife ordered a steak stromboli which was a great combination with leftovers for the following day. I know a stromboli to be more flaky; this seemed to be the pizza dough which was a bit bready. I tend to give emphasis to a restaurant on its food, since personnel can come and go but the food is what keeps me coming back. That is why I was surprised that such a high-standing restaurant has the waitress that served us. She got off her phone after realizing that we had been waiting for a while to order. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t want my server to look like she just came back from the gym with tangly hair, yoga pants, and smelling of cigarettes. After barely having a clue about the wine list, one of the other waitresses served us our wine. Our waitress left our empty soup, salad, and appetizer plates on the table and seemed to be upset when we asked if she could take them so we could have more room. At the first chance, we would like to go back and try some more of the foods on the menu and the specials that they have, but we will definitely be requesting another less-moody waitress. All in all, great food but with some improvements in the phone and service department.

Let me begin by saying that Ive visited a few of the Pats locations in the area, and the one in Middletown is in my opinion, the best. It is a hidden jewel that seems to be getting better with time. It was recently redecorated and given a more rustic and cozy feeling inside that made me forget about the hustle and bustle of my day. I would only suggest that the music be changed to more traditional and lyric-based jazz music rather than simply instrumental. It was quite busy when I went, but everything seemed to be working like clockwork. I was served by a young waitress who was quite charming and with a genuine smile on her face through the craziness of the rush. I got to talking with her and our conversation gave a feel like I was in the Mediterranean where she recently moved back from. I ordered a Fiji salad and a turkey lime baguette, both being newer items to the menu. Despite preferring more traditional tastes, the salad was an exotic blend of tastes but tied it all together with the meatiness of the shrimp. The waitress recommended the baguette and it paired perfectly with the salad. Everything was fresh, and for the quality and quantity, this combination was definitely reasonably priced. My meal was superb and the service was a refreshing break from the monotony of most restaurants. I will definitely be back and would recommend Pats Select to anyone looking for something outside the box!

Get lunch from here occasionally since the office is nearby, but probably not again soon, to be honest. They just raised all of their prices $1 (which, I get it. Restaurants have to keep up with market prices), but I ordered a salad from the lunch special menu (so now the lunch specials are all a dollar more- salads are now $8.99) and I received literally a huge bowl full of lettuce. There were 3 tiny piles of toppings that when I mixed in were literally lost in a sea of romaine. $9 for a bowl of romaine, which I couldve prepared myself for the market value of romaine which is $2 give or take. I called, and they didnt even say sorry, they just mentioned how theyd give me 2 or 3 dollars of store credit. Not at all worth it. If youre going to raise prices the product has to reflect that and today I paid $10 (customary tips) for a salad worth about $5. Even their wraps are now $10, and Ive had those too and theyre just not worth it. Over all, not worth it, yall. The price change for the lackluster product will affect their brand loyalty down the road.

This is asking what did I like about it.....this location has the worst service ever! I have lived in this area for about 10 years. We used to have no problems ordering and getting the order correct. The last couple of years however have been absolutely horrible. I stopped ordering for several months, gave them a chance but there was always something wrong with the order. Stopped ordering again, this evening I figured lets try again. Same crap......the person who took my order hot my order wrong once again. I ordered a large Italian sub with everything on it but peppers. She proceeded to repeat the order and mentioned grilled onions?????? I told her no grilled onions. So I explained exactly what I wanted on the sub. Well, after picking it up and arriving home, it was a small Italian sub. I have yet to open it to see if they git the rest if right but I highly doubt it. I refuse yo ever order from them again. In fact, I forbid my family to order either. WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!

Recently received a $5.00 "We miss you" coupon for $21.49 order. I turned the coupon in upon delivery. While checking my account I discovered I was charged the full $21.49 instead of $16.49. Upon speaking with a manager, I was informed that their system showed I was charged $16.49 and it must have been a mistake by the bank and I should maybe speak with the bank about it. After some back and forth it was apparent to me the customer was not right in this situation but the manager would speak to someone and maybe see if I can be credited for my next order. Customer Service at its best...Ridiculous! Ive been a customer for 10+ years. Its not about the lousy $5.00... its the principle of how I was treated as a customer. The right answer was let us make it right ...not go check with your bank, our system is not wrong and maybe we can give you a credit. Needless to say , while the good is good, PATS pizza lost a loyal customer. Ill spend my money elsewhere.

I am very disappointed with the Pats Select in Middletown . We order pats often throughout the week. So today we ordered food from Pats, I do not eat meat so I ordered a quesadilla with no chicken. Instead of the chicken, I asked if I could add Kale and or Spinach. I was told, No, but if I was to order the kale salad, I could then add it. So I asked, can you just charge me extra for the Kale? She said No, because if they do it for me, then they will have to do it for everyone else. Its Kale! I would have paid extra for it! I do not understand how adding that would be a big deal. Long story short, we will not be ordering from Pats Select again.
