My cousin was in town tonight with her 2 little pooches and we needed to find a dog-friendly place to eat. Iron Hill was friendly and extremely accommodating - from the hostess to our great waiter. They put us at a quiet table at the end of the deck where the dogs could relax. Our waiter, a dog lover, brought them a container of water and at our request, brought them their own foil containers to portion their chicken. We were very appreciative of his thoughtfulness. WE enjoyed the passion fruit drinks, shared a mozzarella/tomato salad, had the Mediterranean wraps and a mesclan side salad. Gazpacho soup for an appetizer. All of it was delicious and right on point for a light dinner in the hot weather. Perfect dinner. Perfect, great service and a nice stroll by the river for the dogs. Well definitely be back. FYI...when I asked the Blue Parrott if dogs were allowed outside on the patio, the response was a nasty NO!........Iron Hill was a great choice for my 2nd visit! Cant wait to go back. My cousin was thrilled at this enjoyable evening as she drove up from Alexandria, VA just to have dinner and drove back after.

My family came here and my daughter ordered the fish and chips, she loved it but then had cramps and bathroom visits all night. Turns out they put the greasy fish right on the plate without properly draining it for a few minutes of the oil it was cooked in. Her fault was in that she was hungry and dug right in. I went back the next night for a drink and told the night manager, blank stare. I also told her that my beer was poured into a just washed warm mug. Blank stare. No offer to rectify the situation with a free beer, or any other resolution. The final straw was when I asked the bartender to put the TV on SNL and he said its policy to always have sports on, but would do it. It didnt happen though. Went back to the manager and comped myself a free beer. It shouldnt have to be this difficult. The Internet wasnt discovered yesterday. Unless things change, or hipsters stay stupid, this place will close in the near future. Visit Trinity in Providence for an authentic urban brewery experience, and while youre at it go to the Trinity Rep. Probably the best small theater company on the East Coast.

Stopped here on Easter Sunday to have some dinner after visiting with grandparents. Met up with my parents here so it was just the 3 of us the place was not very busy. We all ordered the light lager, which tasted flat no head on the beer at all. The server replaced the beers with new ones which were a lot better. My dad order the meat loaf and me and my mother ordered the half rack of ribs with fries and coleslaw. Ribs came out cold had to send them back, they did fall off the bone but no taste what so ever very bland they need to learn how to dry rub ribs. My dads meat loaf was burnt and very dense. The check came and I paid 70 bucks for the 3 of us and not worth it at all. Heck they did not even take the flat beers off the check. I will not come back to this place. The server was nice and attentive food well sucked. None of us finished our meals. Went back home fired up the charcoal BBQ and threw some dogs and burgers on the grill yum.

I moved here from nyc and I must say this place is more expensive than the city..which is absurd. I went saturday after a movie and didnt bother with food since the prices all look like typos. We ordered 5 rum and diet doubles..which are usually 8 bucks for the size in most places and they charged 15! Nice places in Grenwich village charge 12..and without all that fun might get killed allure of wilmington. What the fark? The glasses were filled to the brim with ice and one was clearly just water and never taken off the bill. If you going to charge Insane amounts of money, give your victims a heads up. What a ripoff. Would never go there in a thousand years. Avoid. This place deserves to go under. We will recover the wasted money by never going here again. I will make sure nobody I know ever goes here. Dont say I didnt warn you if you read this first.

great food but the staff was not welcoming nor attentive to our table. This is my first and last time coming here. The receptionist at the front of the house did not welcome us or anything. I walked up to her and she was more focused on the menus than anything else. I asked for a table of 2 and there were a few people there did not bother to ask for name or anything. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the beers and house specials but did inform me he was not our server because the one that was suppose to be there was late. Eventually we got our food which is delicious the best part. I am big on customer service, I wish they had a better front of the house because that completely turned me off I felt I was more of a burden than a customer.

IRON HILL, Wilmington is a Very Nice Place on paper. They have a very nice selection of Beer and Food on the Riverfront. But the service is horrible at the same time. To begin with it is very chaotic. The waiter turns up takes your order then vanishes in thin air, then reappears with part of the order. Three of my friends went and there was no sign of the Chicken Ceasar Salad even after 45 mins. When we complained, they are like... We will write off your Chicken Wings Or take free vouchers. I went to have a good time and pay for it aint it simple enough. Go there if you have PLENTY of TIME to WASTE and if youre lucky, they will write it off.

Had dinner there while on vacation. The setting was nice enough, but the service was by far the worst we experienced on our entire trip. One hour and forty-five minutes to get sandwiches. While there several people just walked out rather than wait. People across the outside porch left after 45 minutes of waiting for the waitress to return to take their order after bringing drinks. Tons of staff but all hanging near the bar. Sandwiches were ok, but sure not worth waiting any time for. Dont usually write bad reviews but would recommend spending money elsewhere.

From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were unwelcome. Our hostess didnt say a single word to us as she led us to our table. She leaned over, threw some menus down, and to me, it looked like she deliberately twisted the table so it was all crooked when we sat down. She walked away without looking at us or saying a single word. My wife and I sat down for a few seconds and both agreed we had been treated poorly, so we simply walked right back out the door without ordering and went to another place nearby. Wont go back.

Been going here for business lunches for 5+ years and have experienced continual decline of service, menu items, and portion sizing. This establishment has now reached “stupid territory” in terms of price for quality of food. I highly recommend management perform an audit of menu items. Include more vegan and vegetarian items that are portioned correctly and do not cost $20 for additional vegetables are added. All the extra fees are quite ridiculous. Until these things are addressed I will not be back with my clients.
