We have been twice to Brio. The service is decent but the food leaves something to be desired. It has left a lot to be desired especially for the red meat dishes. The first time we were there for dinner and I ordered the steak medallions rare. The medallions were charred quite a bit. I assumed it to be a timing thing. I decided to give it a second go for lunch with my wife today. We ordered the brio burger and the panini for lunch. The panini was good but the burger was the one I could have gotten across the street at McDonalds. It was just a frozen patty, charred again. If I am paying $10 for a burger I would get a much better burger at Plan B or at a bunch of places in west Hartford or for that matter Red robin. I am not sure if I would go there again and if I do order anything associated with red meat.

Weve enjoyed the Brio Tuscan Grille that is located in the Waterside Shops at Pelican Bay in Naples, Florida, for several years and were thrilled to see that one would open at the Westfarms Mall. Of course, we checked out the Westfarms restaurant as soon as it opened and were not disappointed. Coincidentally, we learned from our server that the Westfarms staff was trained by the Waterside staff from Florida. The food at Westfarms is just as good and consistent as it is ar Waterside. I just hope that its open for brunch, too.

We were very, very pleasantly surprised by our visit to Brio early this summer, just weeks after theyd opened. The food was excellent and surprising in its innovation for an Italian restaurant. The service was personal and impeccable! They clearly aim to please there. While the prices mean we will only visit occasionally, it is our new favorite "special occasion destination" in the West Hartford area!

The location has been very hit or miss. I have some good experiences and I have also had a few instances where the waiter/waitress have been awful (messed up orders, slow, poor attitude, etc.) The outdoor seating isnt bad and overall you usually can get a table without much of a wait. The food is typically good, my review is just a little jaded from some bad experiences.

The food looked nice and the waitress was nice too. BUT, I got really bad stomach upset right after. It was also pretty cold there, so it felt like we were sitting in the refrigerator. Dessert selection was very small too. It is either a cheese case or the salad with salmon that caused that stomach ache...I wont come there again after that.

Nothing about this restaurant is average...the staff was on their toes, the management was on top of customer service, the food was NOT over-sauced, tasty to excellence, wonderful portions, great selection, plain old PERFECT. Dessert....words cannot describe....everything was well worth every dime, BRAVO to this small-chain restaurant

Came for desserts, pretty much a waste of calories. Nice decor, but I didnt know you could screw up a molten chocolate cake like they could. I really cant describe what it tasted like, but Id never get it again.

Only went once, but found it to be a very mediocre experience, particularly for a restaurant that markets itself as a more upscale, high quality Italian bistro. The dish was very forgettable.

Noisy place, other Brio in Danbury is much cozier. Bugs buzzing around my wine and poorly prepared potatoes will make me think twice before going here again.

Great food - more upscale, variety, and quality than Olive Garden for only a little higher prices. Service was fine (not great, not poor).

Overpriced, small portions, slow service. Go to Cheesecake where youll find better prices and receive enough food for leftovers.
