5th and last time at this place. Wish I could have rated it a big fat ZERO because thats what this place deserves and nothing more. We met another couple for dinner so we were a group of 4 ... fifty something year olds. Had a glass of wine while waiting for our table. Waiting was pretty quick compared to usual ... only 1/2 hour. Had another glass of wine with dinner over a course of two hours at the table. Service was slow for sure .... but the bigger problem was that the waitress brought our check without ever asking if we wanted another round of drinks and without asking if we wanted dessert. Stunned with such poor service and not being ready to end our evening with friends, we decided to pay and go in the bar as my friend wanted dessert and I wanted another wine. Once at the bar, they told us that because we were in the dining room we couldnt have any more drinks in the bar. What? Ive never heard of anything so absurd! What kind of ridiculous rule is that! So I could have stayed in the bar and had as many wines as I wanted ... but because I went to the dining room for dinner you arent going to let me have a third? Apparently this place has many "rules" that are strictly enforced. Who wants rules when youre out trying to enjoy yourself!! We arent children!! We left and will never go back. REALLY ... go anyplace but this place!! You can do so much better if youre looking for a nice evening out. Worst service Ive ever experienced, ridiculous rules, and their rudeness is beyond words.

CB is cute in nature. They try really hard to be Tex-mex, but this has been my worst tex-mex/ mexican I ever had. I should have known when we tried the salsa that this was going to be bad. It was just horrible. I cant put my finger on why it was funky, but I am assuming it was some store brand version. We ordered a quesadilla and a taco salad. The quesadilla actually had whole cloves of garlic and my tostada was just all beans and very little salad, which by the way gave me the worst stomach ache the next day even though i only had very little of it. Oh and you can totally taste the guacomole was not authentic- i am betting restaurant depot or costco for that mess. The service was ok. She never let us completely answer her before she left. If you are vegetarian or you know what good tex mex food is- I would highly NOT recommend this place.

I just visited (Spring 2010) and, as a vegetarian, was pleasantly surprised that they were having an "Asparagus Festival" that gave me a lot of great choices! I LOVED my asparagus quesadilla - it was fun and inventive - the feta made it fantastic! The members of my party that had traditional Mexican entrees seemed disappointed, but those of us that branched off to the more creative dishes were really impressed. If you want traditional Mexican, head up to Iguanas Ranas on Main Street in Middletown. If you want creative fare and great margaritas, come to Coyote Blue!

CHECK THE CHARGES TO YOUR DEBIT CARD! What are the chances of human error vs ? when your account is debited 2x in 6 months an extra tip of $6.00. The first time they were quick to respond it was busy.... the 2nd time an explanation of how much the owner hates debit and the cost to them to allow customers to debit... and when interrupted if he was not the least bit concern about this happening 2x in such a short period, I got interupted and was told if you dont like it, dont use debit or dont come back. NOW that customer service from the owner himself!

Phenomenal Tex Mex Food, Huge Plates. Fresh Food, HOMEMADE Salsa, Chips, Rice/Beans. Prices Very Reasonable. Great Margarita Options. Super Friendly Staff & Attentive Servers. Very Cool Southwestern Decor. Good Sized Bar Area. Has Tables and Booths Available. Entrance is wheelchair friendly, with small wood ramp. Bathroom doorways are not handicapped accessible. (Wheelchair will not fit in bathroom, possibly a walker will fit through)

if i could give it 0 stars i would.i had to deal with a disgusting employee by the name of Justin B. I have been a long time customer. he was sweating and tryin to hit on me. the food is ok. but then he tried to tell me he wanted to have a 3some.... how professional is that? not at all. folks the food is good and has been. long time customer here. but some of their employees need to go.

A little pricey, but very tasty. This food is unabashedly Tex-Mex, so for some it may be trying something new. They regularly change up their menu so theres something new every few months. Their BBQ is NOT to be missed and is the best Ive had in CT so far. Ive gone at least a dozen times and plan to keep frequenting it! (January 2011)

Phenomenonal margaritas....dinner was fantastic. The spinach and feta quesadilla arrived overly salty and the waitresses immediately replaced it with a taco salad, which was delicious. Huge thank you to the wait staff who professionally handled the situation, and were great through the rest of the meal!

Great food. Reasonable prices, service is good also. Theres usually a long wait on weekends. The restaurant is small and doesnt seat that many. Plan to wait at least an hour on Friday and Saturday nights. They do have a bar where you can have drinks while waiting but thats crowed at times too.

Great food and drinks! Typically a wait until you will be seated but it is always worthwhile for satisfying portions of quality food. While waiting, try a margarita (or two if you have a good tolerance), they are very well known for these strong drinks that are a local favorite.

Its been 7-8 years since we last ate hear. All I can say is its not what it was. We would always leave saying when we will be coming back, I might not come back for 10 years. Service was slow, food was average.

One of our favorite restaurants! They have the best margaritas in CT! Try the burrito grande! They sell their own line of hot sauces. If you like it hot, ask for the wheel of death!

Waited FOREVER for a table that was promised in 30 minutes. Hostess was super rude to a patron who asked about gluten free options. Food sub-par despite high prices. Wont be back.

Food and drink were good but disappointed to see I was overcharged(different from the bill) I signed for. Just as previous poster, will be in touch with management. Will update.

Best TexMex in Middletown. Everything is fresh, and the food comes out fast. They even have awesome seasonal menu items too (German food during Oktoberfest).

Have been a few times, drinks and food never disappoint. Sometimes a long wait on weekends, but isnt that expected for anywhere popular in a smaller town?

My favorite tex mex place! Worth whatever wait. Food comes out quickly even when theyre busy. Great margs. Been a favorite restaurant for a decade.

JE

Food is great and the blue margaritas are even better. The place is tiny so you will wait but it is worth it!

CH

Good food and drinks. My favorite is the shrimp quesadilla. Be prepared to wait during the busiest times.
