Went for brunch. Over priced for the quality and options. I had a steak and egg wrap that was good, but not worth the $11+ price. Diner quality but not diner price. My wife had the crab cakes Benedict. The 2 crab cakes were about the size of a .50 cent piece (less than 3" diameter) for $14+! It was almost as if the tiny cakes were a mistake or they forgot to put the other ones on there. Both came with homefries which were good but not amazing. I did not like the seasoning as much as my wife did. I know this is most prominently a bar, and Ive spent many positive happy hours or long nights there drinking, but if they are going to serve brunch then they need to realize the target audience and create more interesting and/or fulfilling choices for the price points. For the money we spent there with two adult beverages we could have had a more upscale experience at numerous brunch options in the area. If they want to fill a void with more bar friendly brunch options then at least keep prices below $10.

I went here with my family and two boys who are only 3mo and 2 yrs. We were skeptical due to it being a pub and not quite a family establishment. However we were shocked at the service, and the environment as well as the food, my god was it amazing all around! We had first some sausage and mash which was amazing. Then I had the Irish stew which was by far the most amazing and tender lamb I have ever had, my wife had a salad since she is a vegan but said it was very good. My mother in law had a portobello mushroom sandwich which she rated 7/10 saying it was very good and even though they dont have a "kids menu" per say they were more then willing to give a children s size of chicken tenders and fries to accommodate my oldest. If I lived closer I would love to come by more often but this will definitely be on my top lists when Im in the area!

The most important thing about making food regardless of how good the food is personal hygiene I personally witness the uncleanness of the kitchen especially on the weekend brunch. The cooks do not wash there hands they drop utensils on the floor and continue to use them..they are completely and utterly disgusting considering this is a great pub..I personally wont eat here. They do not take the steps necessary to make sure no cross contamination is happening or do they seem to care. Its nasty and I was extremely appalled at how the staff act so unconcerned about it. I would like to see some action be taken instead of seeing a good establishment shut down on a surprise visit from health matters.

In response to Chris Neumann. They have rules like that to protect themselves from liability (aka getting de-licensed/getting in trouble with law enforcement...). Consider that it could be youre acting like the mac n cheese kid and try your hardest to realize there are rules for a reason. I know it sucks dude, but come on! This restaurant is a gem and just because you have issues with rules and policy doesnt mean you should potentially harm restaurants by posting negative reviews of a place you didnt even eat or drink at. I just moved in the area and have fallen IN LOVE with the half door. Everyone is so nice, drink selection is ON POINT, and the food...so good..try the fried reuben!

When you are sitting at this lovely pub notice the servers making laps around the place, keeping them coming by your table just often enough so that your drink is never empty, whether its water or something more exciting. They have a great homemade soup selection to start things off. To follow the meatloaf sandwich, fish and chips and mini philly cheesesteak apps where all hardy and unhealthy enough to qualify as bar food, but not fast-food or garbage. Go there for a good time, good food, friendly service and some cheap drinks at the right time. You may have to pay a $5 cover, but it made up for on your first round of $2 Irish pints served during their happy hour and Wed nights(?).

Looks like a place I would really want to go, however I went with my girlfriend on a Sunday night at 6pm. There was only one other group in there. We sat to have a nice dinner, but the waitress immediately asked for our IDs. I am 22 and she is 20, so she obviously wasnt planning on drinking. But they wouldnt even let us sit for dinner. Unfortunately they lost our business. Just keep that in mind if you are going with anyone. I could understand if it was a Friday or Saturday night after 8 or so. But Sunday at 6, just for a casual dinner was kind of unusual.

Love it. They have my favorite beer on tap (Delirium Tremens), a wide selection of other beers and ciders, and what seems to be a ton of whiskey - although thats not how I roll. The food is pretty legit - good portions, vegetarian and vegan options, and the full spectrum of healthy to not so much. Trivia is ultra competitive and the live music is pretty chill, not terribly loud and conversation-stunting like some other places. You cant hear the TVs, so dont go there to watch political debates or other dialogue heavy broadcasts.

This is a great place to hang out and hear some great music. Ive found the food to be very good as well, but I tend to just order a sandwich and fries. I havent tried the more elaborate items on the menu. Waitresses and bartenders are very quick but very friendly and welcoming (which does make a difference in my eyes). Very much the "town hangout" bar where everyone is family.

This place is my favorite Hartford-area pub. The beer selection is very good, and the food is tasty. Some first-rate Irish bands perform here on weekends, and the place can get packed at these gigs. Finding street parking takes a bit of work, but I have never failed to find a spot somewhere on Sisson Ave., if you dont mind walking a couple of blocks.

Great live music, very friendly atmosphere. Decent drinks and prices but you need to be 21+ to enter since its a bar. Outdoor seating is nice on warm evenings. Overall a nice place to have a night out with a few friends. Only downside is the sketchy neighborhood.

My boyfriend took me here when we visited Hartford and I love this place. Really cool bartender and great beer selection. I also really enjoyed the ambience and the bathrooms were super clean (yes!). Hope to visit the next time we go back!

The food was fabulous! Best Kielbasa and Sheppard pie Ive ever had...nice to find a restaurant where portions are normal size and so delicious. ..The peanut butter banana cream pie was to die for! We will definitely be back and soon.

We stopped here on the recommendation of a couple locals as we were in the area on business. Staff was super friendly and reasonably attentive. Food was spot on. The big winner for me was that they had Delirium Tremens on tap. :)

Great place to have lunch after the tour at the Mark Twain house. Friendly welcome when we walked thru the door. The Cobblestones were the best! Caesar salad and Vegetarian Chili delicious too. Highly recommended.
