I love finding hidden gems, and Brewster River Pub & Grill definitely qualifies. The fish and chips are awesome, especially with the addition of homemade potato chips rather than the handcut fries, which were also very good, but I definitely like chips over fries. Portions were generous! I want to really rave over the coconut milk steamed mussels. They are amazing. Basil, red peppers, ginger, curry, and garlic add flavor to a broth that would make an awesome soup. Now to the beer. We had the pale ale, which is hopped perfectly. Not quite so much that it enters into the IPA arena, but the hops stand out. Theres a hint of sweetness from the malt, but nothing overdone, which is something I dislike. I dont want a sweet beer. Our waitress was friendly and didnt miss a step. Thats definitely the cherry on an already great experience. Glad we stopped in, and cant wait to return.

We have been coming here as visitors to the area for years - both summer and winter. In the past, everyone who worked there was so friendly. The past 2 summers we have seen things change. Our experience this summer was so disappointing. The bartender showed no interest in serving us and when he did, he gave us our drinks and just went back to the end of the bar to talk to his friends (never even said thank you or asked if we wanted anything else). When we paid our bill we were actually charged more than the price said on the board. When I first heard Smuggs was not shuttling its guests to Brewskis anymore, I was disappointed. Now we dont care. Its very sad to say but Brewskis has lost a lot of what made us like going there - the friendly atmosphere. My advice - go across the street to the pub at Stella Nottes and visit with Lenny. Sorry Brewskis:(

On a sunny summer afternoon, or after a snow filled day of winter activities on the trails or slopes, this is, without a doubt, the best pub to visit in the Smuggs/Jeffersonville area. They brew their own beer (usually 3 or more styles on tap) plus offer approximately 20 other VT and New England microbrews, and full bar. They smoke their own BBQ: pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. Their newly expanded deck for outdoor seating during the summer season (plenty of sunny spots, or shaded on the rear deck area) overlooks their volleyball court and wooded stream branching off Brewster River. 5 minute walk from the Smuggs Resort parking lots. Go and enjoy the casual hangout at the foothills of the Notch. Opens @ 2 PM... usually closes 2 AM.

I will preface this review by saying that I have never posted a poor review before. My husband and I went for dinner on a Friday night, waited comfortably at the bar for 20 minutes before being seated. We were very happy with the waitress and ordered an appetizer that came out quickly and was delicious but after that it all went downhill. We never got our dinners...we saw a party of 6 next to us come, eat and go and we still did not have our burgers. The waitress kept saying it was coming. Finally, we asked to cancel the order. We left very disappointed and hungry...it was a shame as it was my husbands birthday and we decided to go simple and we thought this pub was the perfect place. Very disappointed:(

Excellent selection of craftbeers as well as their own in house brews. The teriyaki duck wings are to die for! Great food menu with dishes ranging from the "Godzilla" burger to ribs (with awesome homemade coleslaw), to fish and chips to salads, Brewster River pub definitely has something for everyone! Including a "smaller appetites" menu which I interpreted to mean a kids menu. They do have high chairs. Daily specials and desserts. TVs at the bar and around the dining area play mostly sports. There is a patio if you like to eat outside. Super friendly staff. Their hours are 2pm to 11pm. Definitely a favorite spot of ours when in Jeffersonville, Vermont.

I think this place is a hidden jewel! I first visited last year for a long weekend in Smugglers Notch. We went for lunch both times we were here that weekend. We were so pleased with the food. When we asked about it they explained that they house smoke the meat and prepare most items in house. Very fresh and delicious with a good selection of beer plus a few rotating house brews. I would describe it as gourmet bar food. You have to visit here.

First off, the food and beer are OKAY... having said this, you better be a local from Vermont or you will be regarded with hostility by the locals. I have never had an entire bar stop what they are doing and glare at me like that before. The staff are great and really nice. Maybe if youre a family going for food its a different story.

While on vacation at Smugglers Notch, wanted some good local food. Brewsters Pub came up during a conversation, so we decided to check them out. This was good decision they had great food, fast service, with a great atmosphere. Food was hot not warm, and the waitress was full of life. Will definitely revisit before we leave VT.

Great place! Really enjoyed our meal and the guidance we got for our trip. Good to learn about what is happening in about town. Fantabulous food, good burgers and muscles. Its where the local and travellers should go... when we first arrived to relax. Took the shutles back to the resort.

My family and I stopped in here for dinner and a drink one night while staying at nearby Smugglers Notch. The people were extremely friendly. The live music that night was really talented and played well. Its a very intimate place with not a lot of space for crowds yet it has one.

Went there for a quick drink with the family. They have their own stuff on tap and other local breweries as well. The owner is also a Steelers fan (as designated by the Terrible Towel above the kitchen entrance).

Good food, affordable prices, great service, and a large beer collection. They even had pretty good live music on Thanksgiving Eve. Also doesnt hurt that they are the only place open past 9 on the area.

Absolutely delicious. Our waitress was attentive even though she was busy with other tables. The food came out quick and was better than we expected. We are full and happy.

Unique food, delicious, total ski town vibe, apres ski is excellent. Walked in dreading artichokes, enjoyed grilled artichokes that knocked our socks off.
