NEVER go here. My family and I went there for lunch this past weekend because we heard it was very good. Once we got there, we were waited on immediately, which was as to be expected. we were served drinks, and the waitress gave us a few minutes to decide what we wanted to eat. So far, so good. I decided to get the cobb wrap, which was described as, "smoked turkey" with shredded lettuce, mayo, blue cheese, and avocado. This is where things started to go bad. When we got our food, only one of us got one of our sides, and it took another 15 minutes for them to serve the rest of us our food. as far as I knew, everyone elses food was good, but mine was absolutely horrible. The turkey came from a deli package you would get at the grocery store, I knew this because there was water coming from the "turkey" that was leaking all over my wrap, making the lettuce soggy and disgusting. Also, it tasted and looked like the bleu cheese chunks were just taken out of a bottle of chunky bleu cheese salad dressing. After my whole family was finished eating our food, it took 30 minutes for our waitress to come back over to our table. At this time the only other customers in the diner was a couple next to us being waited on by a different waitress. During the 30 minutes we were waiting, Our waitress as well as a few other members of the staff were at the bar, eating and talking very loudly. During this whole time, our waitress never once check back on our table. Once she did get to us, she asked if we wanted dessert. I didnt originally because I was having an absolutely horrible time, but the rest of my party did so I decided to get something. I got the cheesecake, and it was fantastic, even though it didnt make up for the horrible serviced and disgusting food I had been served prior. Overall, I had a horrible time, the staff was unprofessional, the service overall was horrible, and the food was disgusting. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE.

Let us talk money first: Yesterday we ordered the following: 2 bowls of soup: A bowl of soup is $5.75 The Orzo macaroni is soft and gooey. The Butternut squash soup is very plain...2 bowls = $11,50 (( If you want GREAT soup for less money go to the TownHouse in Branford.)) Philly Steak with a cup of fruit salad.... $12.75. It was good but you can get the same thing for less at TownHouse in Branford or Nicks Place in Madison. 2 scoops of ice creme $4.50. (( If I remember correctly Nicks Place a scoop is $1.50.)) So now add $9 for 2 orders. The bill came to $35.35 Now, add the tip of approximately $5.......Lovely ...$40....Pricey for sure. Service is good because we ask for the same waitress each time we go. Im no fool. I found a good one and I am sticking with her. As I paid the bill....The hostess robotically asked me how it was. I said "terrible." It was like I was talking in a foreign language. Just a blank expression. No follow up on my comment. An awkward moment of silence. ....Ah...chalk that up to "youth." I moved to Guilford in 1976. How this place survives is simple. I figured it out...The young crowd that likes to hang out....the first timers....the repeat offenders (like me) that go back hoping things got better....and those who have never been to TownHouse or Nicks Place....or prefer not to drive. Sure ..I will go back....in 10 months or so. I live in town...why not. I will go back to Nicks Place in Madison and the TownHouse in Branford weekly...or daily and in a heart beat. Get my drift?

The pasta primavera today was horrible! I had this dish quite a few times in the past (as recent as about a week or two ago) and it had been pretty good. I ordered it again today, but it looked totally different! I said to the waitress right away that it didnt look anything like what I had before but was told maybe more vegetables were buried underneath...I tried the dish hoping it might still taste ok but was very disappointed! It had very little vegetables and the little veggies they put in it were not even properly cooked. The taste? Very bland! I did go through a little less than half of the dish but could not eat anymore. In the end, the waitress said she could not take it off the bill but could offer a free dessert. I did not need a dessert, plus how was the dessert going to help the savory pasta dish?! I went up to the cashier to pay and found out the woman at the cash register happened to be the manager. She (the manager) said she would let the owner know...but refused to offer any other forms of good-will compensation. Very disappointed at the dish and the way the restaurant handled the issue!

Stay away from this place if possible. I ordered the western omelette, and it was one of, if not the worst omelette Ive ever had. I dont know if I could even call it an omelette. It looked like the chef attempted an omelette, messed up, then chopped everything up and shoveled it onto my plate in a ball. Eggs were burnt, didnt taste good, and were out of balance with all the other ingredients. The onions were also extremely overpowering (about half of the volume of "omelette" was onion!!). Also, the cheese wasnt really even melted! Aside from my ball of burnt eggs, ham, onions, and peppers, the coffee tasted like crap. Was very tasteless and watered down. The food was very overpriced, too. Im giving this place two stars because it was clean and the staff was pleasant, although my food was one star at best. Bottom line, save some money and go to the Parthenon in Branford instead. Its cheaper, nicer, better food, and friendlier staff.

Skip this place if possible. Over priced rubbish. $7.75 for two scrambled eggs(the menu said $5.50 but the bill said $7.75, waitress said typo in menu) the eggs were harder than rubber. The homefries were greasy. The Vegan platter was not a hit either. The tahini was spoiled and had a nasty zing to it. The hummus was just gross. I can say the veg of the night was broccoli rabe and it was amazingly good. Other than that, the waitstaff didnt want to be there. I was there twice...the first and the last time all in one!!! Dont bother. If you want a good food experience with healthy options go to The Whole Enchilada next door to this Enclave. Enclave is a pretentious word for an area with people who are different in some way from the people in the areas around it...they are different for sure.

Average to poor quality food, horrible service, and if you have Celiacs disease be warned they will charge you a dollar for every item you order. Thanks because after having a debilitating disease, its such a relief to be charged a dollar more for the same gf salad on the normal menu-minus the cheese-also lactose intolerant as most people with Celiacs are. Im normally a patient person, I had to look away from the waitress, who delivered our food 40 min after we ordered, after she told me this when the bill showed up...was really trying not to curse her out. Skip this place, nothing redeeming.
