They have really good food and used to go to the one in Ansonia regularly. Ive never had an issue but if youre in law enforcement make sure you use the drive through so that the cooks dont see you. I ordered two sandwiches and the fact that I had a high and tight haircut and was reviewed up and down by the cooks I received complimentary hair in both sandwiches. This was two years ago so Im not sure if the same dirtbags work there as cooks. My advice, use the drive through if you remotely look like youre law enforcement. The food is still stellar but my ranking Ive given them is on the basis of the hair samples I still cant get out of my head. Pardon the Pun

I use to love Duchess, I grew up on it. And when my Dad came back to CT to visit, we stopped through the drive-through for a nostalgic treat. Sadly the food was cold, soggy, and not what it use to be. The hot dog was terrible. I remembered them being so much better. They also got our order wrong and shorted us on food. When I got home, my part of the food order was not there, but I got charged none the less. I wish I never re-visited Duchess, now my childhood happy memories are tainted... In fairness they said they were sorry, and the certainly were sorry...

The food sucks. Its far from fresh! I ordered a salad with grilled chicken and received a bunch of cheap lettuce that was brown and wilted, with a bunch of chunky white stem pieces not meant for consumption. It took forever to get my order because the staff cant stop talking to each other for more then 10 seconds. The inside is grubby looking, like it needs to be bleached out. The decor is 1980s special. Needs a serious revitalization.

Normally I like this dutchess, food is pretty good, they cook everything to order, but today was less than satisfactory, the cashier was terribly rude, our food was ready and they didnt bag it while 3 people stood around talking, paid for extra lettuce on a sandwich and barely got any, didnt add the cheese we asked for, and forgot to give us the soup we got charged for (until we asked for it)not a good experience

I had a long and caring drive though order and they fit is all right. As for the did duchess is a must go if you need fast food and want something that tastes far better than the big guys.

Fantastic. A hidden gem, especially if you are willing to wait an extra few minutes. Their ad campaign is fresh and they deliver every time I go; which is rapidly becoming a weekly habit.

Duchess serves breakfast all day long which is why I love it so much. They also have this great deal for 2 breakfast sandwiches for 4 dollars, and its the best deal Ive seen.
