My family and I had been eating at New Colony Diner for many years, and we have not been there for a few years as we have been out of the area. We ate there last evening and we were incredibly disappointed with the quality of the food and the very high prices. Some of the food was uneatable, the presentation was poor, and the prices were very expensive. Scanning the menu, it was apparent that prices were in line with top class restaurants in the area. On leaving, I complained to the owners son about this, and mentioned that the place had deteriorated since their new ownership. I got the impression from the son that he was not interested in hearing my complaints, and all he wanted to do is close the discussion and get me out of the door. We will never eat there again.

Terrible experience! The food was bad. I told the waitress, who took the plate to the manager, who did not credit us for it. When I asked about it said she didnt know what I wanted her to do about it, that she tried it and it was good (seriously!? ... The mushrooms in the dish were bad--I still have a horrible taste in my mouth and am hoping I dont get sick!!), hemmed and hawed, said she didnt know how to do a credit, held up other customers for a good 10 minutes (probably hoping Id go away), and finally credited me a partial amount on the meal I had hardly touched.

We had a very wonderful experience. We have a six year old non-verbal austic child. He was getting very anxious because he was hungry. I spoke to one of the staff because he could not wait one minute more. She was so GRACIOUS AND KIND. She dashed into the kitchen and his food was there in a flash. God bless everyone there. A special thanks to her, we may not know your name but you are an EARTHLY ANGEL. THANK YOU. We were visiting the area because his sister had her high school prom at MICHEALS AT THE GROVE. Excellent Food at the Colony Diner.

The night waitress was very nice, the food however was off and on, the pickles tasted like a refrigerator but the omelette was excellent the coleslaw looked funny so I didnt try that but the f.f. were good. Now the grand finale, during my order I requested a side of sausage which I was told would be extra and I expected that, but what I didnt expect is how big and plump those lil bastards were, my god! and the cost of them was $4 which I thought to be outrageous because they tasted nasty ...twas just a lil over board is all Im sayin

worse service ever. been there many times and never experience any issue. my recent visit was last time I will ever go there. was seated in 2 minutes after arrival on a weekday. waited over 10 + minutes still no sign of waiter. saw the host walked by and asked her she didnt bother to stop and listen, she yelled "shell be with you in a minute. and roll her eyes." after few mind my family and I decided to leave. as were walking by the host, told her were leaving she said ok, without caring. what a biatch.

It upsets me to give a bad review for a place with an amazing waitress like Linda.. If you ever there take good care of her!.. Food is all right(however no ketchup for your cheeseburger order)... But if you ever come across their manager Edd, I promise you hell ruin your appetite!! Extremely rude and uncooperative! I called in to place a to go order because I was walking my dog. He refused to take my order claiming I have to place one inside and then kicked me out when I walked in with my pooch.

Rock solid diner. It doesnt matter what youre in the mood for, this is the best diner within 20 miles of the area. They even have cool choices like BBQ platters, southwestern egg rolls and hot food. Everything tastes so good, its cooked very well, and is extremely affordable. The staff is a pleasure to deal with as well. Last time I went, the woman automatically asked us if we wanted separate checks at the end, which was very nice.

This has got to be the worst diner in the Danbury, CT area. We ordered Chopped Sirloin Steak, expecting it to be a seasoned tasty steak and we got ground burger-like beef. We asked the waitress what it was and she assured us it was Sirloin but "chopped" steak - the taste was close to raw, unseasoned meat. I know what Sirloin is and this was not it. Caution: Do Not order this. I would not eat this again even if its free.

Bacon Cheeseburger (A-) Cooked perfect but not much flavor. Wedges (A+) Some of the best wedges Ive ever eaten. Onion rings (C+) I got 2 very small onion rings. Would not order based on the ones I got with my burger. Service (B+) We waited about 10 minutes after being seated before a waitress came over. Once she came over she was excellent. The initial wait was way too long. Overall Id definitely come back.

Im eating one of the best salads Ive ever had as I write this. Crisp lettuce, cucumber, green pepper, sweet Vidalia onion, fresh tomato all tossed with a light raspberry vinaigrette. A hefty portion with two large scoops of tuna salad on top. Not too much mayo with red onion blended. Delicious and fresh. Three minutes off exit 8 on Rte 24. Absolutely worth A return visit.

The food is 4 star big portions and the fajitas are great. Panko style mozz sticks and calamari were a hit. My chicken rice bowl Greek style was clean and delicious. Heavy portions of peppers I guess make it Greek style with the pita triangles that were nicely toasted and a tatziki sauce that was perfectly balanced. Server named Claudia was outstanding. I shall be back.

This place was so yummy, a great find after we stopped to get out of traffic for a while. Our waitress was really on the ball and friendly too. Best Tzatiki I have ever had and the pita was fresh off the grill. It felt like the food wouldnt stop coming! We just wish we were not so stuffed after dinner so we could have tried what appeared to be some delicious desserts!

The chicken fingers were almost raw, the egg was still jiggly and I ended up eating the left overs from my kids. The waitress never came to check and we simply paid but would never go back again. The gentleman at the register did ask how everything was and when I said awful he didnt appear to care. Got sick later...

been here for 20 minutes and still no food probably going to just leave in a minute. the tip from the last person is still on the table and the waitress refuses to take it. my soda is just seltzer water no syrup anf i think our waitress died or somwthing.

Sometimes you just cant beat diner food. Especially late at night when everything else is closed and youre in the mood for a big breakfast, or club sandwich or pasta with clam sauce. This place has it all with a friendly waitstaff and owner.
