I have been a regular to this diner. Has always been decent nothing special with the food real basic traditional diner stuff. Good plus still is friendly service. However, lately they are starting to skimp on portions. Ordered Chicken parm last night. Chicken was plenty but my good can you be cheap on the cheese. There was hardly any. I have been noticing lately they are reducing portion sizes. Yeah i know I can complain but did not want to have to wait had things to do. One definition of a good restaurant is that you never have to ask.

Very disappointing. Its not how it used to be! Dirty tables and silverware. I asked for a clean glass! Dirty! Food came out wrong TWICE then the owners son, Jimmy, came over to me and he was so rude and blamed me! He said I ORDERED IT WRONG!! The waitress was embarrassed and wanted to take the meal off the bill but the owners son wouldnt allow it. Go to The Colony Diner instead. Never coming back here.

This place is a favorite for three reasons. For an aperitif, I can get a glass of a Dubonnet; for a main course, I can get bluefish (almost every time I visit); and for dessert, an almond horn. Portions are large, so it is nice to have the makings of another meal when you leave the restaurant. The service is affable, responsive, and never over-bearing.

I just met someone for dinner at the Apollo. I looked it up online for directions before I went and read some negative comments about it. The date was set and there was nothing I could do about it so I went. Im glad I did because I thought the food was excellent diner food and my service couldnt have been better. Did I say my date was great too !

There was a bug frozen inside the ice cube, the waitress and hostess didnt care but the busboy that barley spoke English was apologizing and brought new drinks and everything but we just paid and left, never going back new owners are terrible used to be the best in town

The fries had no salt, the gravy had no flavor (tasted like hot water with a little pepper) and the ceasar salad had no cheese. Missing the basics on everything... Everything we got here was minimal I could have cooked this when I was 10 years old.

Usually go for breakfast. Good omelettes, and pancakes, you really cant go wrong. Some parts of the place have wait staff that are not very responsive. While others are very responsive and get your order, right!
