My girlfriend is a vegetarian, so we dont often frequent typical Americana restaurants that often neglect real food options for those who choose to stay away from meats. That said we decided to give the West 29th a try. The menu was not really expensive nor cheap. There were several things on the menu that looked really nice from the Halibut curry (replaced by Mahi Mahi for seasonal reasons), to grass-fed filets and crab macaroni and cheese. There were only two non-salad vegetarian options - Ratatouille Lasagna and Pesto pasta. She went with the Ratatouille although there is a 20 minute wait for the lasagna to heat. I went with the hand-packed burger with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese. After enjoying a stein of Warsteiner and a glass of Pinot Noir while munching on house-made breadsticks, our food arrived. The Lasagna was actually the tastiest vegetarian lasagna that I have ever tasted. The flavors of the potato noodles, ricotta and veggies came out quite nicely with a pleasant texture that was never mushy. My burger was quite good as well, with a homemade parmesan bun and steamed and slightly buttered veggies (broccoli, green beans, and greens). The burger was cooked to my request (medium-rare/medium) and was juicy as well as flavorful. To top it all off, we finished with the creme brulee. The crust was well caramelized and flavorful. I found myself sucking on to savor the flavor. The custard was a very well-balanced with a nice sweetness without being too sweat. This definitely wasnt an in-and-out experience but rather one to take time and savor good food and drinks. The staff was friendly and did a good job. I will definitely come back again.

This was the worst experience I have ever encountered with a restaurant. This is a fairly new restaurant and it so happens to be in my neighborhood. I had my mother in town and decided to take her there and try it out. The atmosphere was nice as we dined out on the patio. We placed our order and my mother ordered coffee and waited 30min to get a refill because we had to ask and then we were told to wait after the waitress waited on new costumers! We waited for our food to be served and after an hour and the new costumers that arrived 30 minutes after us, received their meal first, I decided it was time to ask for our ticket. The waitress replied; that she had just reminded the chef that we had not received our food yet and it would be out shortly. It so happens, that my mother and I were the only Hispanic costumers in the entire restaurant. I hate to think that this could possibly be the motive but what else could there be? We weren’t the only females and we certainly were dressed for the occasion and smelt nice! Just saying...

This place will make you feel like you are visiting your favorite restaurant in your favorite ski town. It has a welcoming atmosphere of a mountain chalet, the food is always high-quality and hearty and the bartenders and servers are always attentive and always have the most positive attitude. European beers, served in old-fashion steiners will bring you directly to the mountain towns of the Alps. They even have Warsteiner and Erdinger on tap!!! Wine selection is quite original and cocktail selection offers good options for whiskey, vodka, gin and rum lovers. While all menu items at West 29th are of the most excellent quality, my personal favorites are White Sauce Mussels, Wedge Salad with Port Wine Vinaigrette, Gorgonzola Stroganoff and Truffle Oil Flatbread. This is a perfect place for an easy bite and a glass of whine away from the crowds, a romantic evening, as well as an excellent winter or summer dinner on the nights when the mountains are calling your name, but you have to stay in the city.

My boyfriend and I have been here few times for weekend brunch. My go-to breakfast/brunch choice is eggs benedict and it does not disappoint here. I get the classic style but one time, my boyfriend got the salmon benedict and he did not like it. He said it was a little slimy and way over salted. Other than that, everything weve gotten here has been good. They have a house made hot sauce that I really enjoy. I put it on my hash browns and it has a decent amount of heat to it. Each day, the crepes, scones, and pancakes have a specialty topping/filling. I dont usually like sweet stuff for breakfast but they give the option of ordering 1 crepe so I gave it a shot one day with pear and pecan compote....delicious! Even for someone without a sweet tooth, I was impressed. Were always warmly greeted and the wait staff is always polite and knowledgeable. I wouldnt say they are overly friendly or chatty but always nice. Were excited to finally go back and try it out for dinner.

Stellar, stellar food. Honestly, the quality of the food was really surprising, as the pricing seems low for the taste. I paid I think $24 for one of their steaks, and it tasted better than some $30-40 steak meals Ive had. Been back multiple times, changing my order each time. Always 10/10 experience. If you enjoy their dinner, try their brunch... Its so wonderful. The building/decor is really neat as well. Im not a "food snob," but I am pretty particular. I dont give out 5 stars often. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Tonight was disappointing. It was our 43rd anniversary and we had a server that paid no attention to us, was demeaning and never provided more than one glass of water. He was a little snippy, too. My steak was paper thin and over cooked. My wife had to return her fish and chips because they had a bitter taste and the coleslaw was sour. This soured our last visit which was so wonderful. The wait staff needs better training. And why didnt the chef come out and ask what was wrong with the fish and chips???

Loved our first visit, brought my whole family and shared the wonderful experience. We had to be sat, fed and out within 90min to get to a show and they we prompt and accommodating. The two 1 ☆ reviews, the guy also put a negative review of the tilted kilt...for bad food. what a tool. the lady after her long rant...played the race card. some people! Again, great place, people and drinks. I will be back!!

Delicious food. I had the carrot & ginger soup and duck with black lentils and seasonal vegetables. The soup was creamy and tasty, and the duck was cooked perfectly with a cherry glaze sauce. My husband had a iceberg wedge salad with blue cheese and the beef stroganoff with home made noodles. The service was very good, professional and friendly.

Delicious food at affordable prices. Love the ambiance of french rustic, and the portions of food are great. Enjoyed dinner many times there and was delighted to discover their brunch is not only amazing - but a very quiet/peaceful experience with zero wait and courteous staff (unlike most Denver area breakfast options!)

Great ambience, good food, and the service was awesome. A few minor things keep me from giving a 5-star review, but Id give 4.5 if that was possible. I definitely plan to return in the summer or fall - their patio looks like an incredible evening just waiting to happen.
