Service was slow. I waited tables during college. Im a great tipper. Im sympathetic to the difficulties of waiting tables. 30 minutes after ordering dinner my appetizer was served cold at the same time my dinner was served cold. After eating both my cold appetizer and cold dinner and waiting another 20 minutes once I had finished eating for anyone to show back up at my table...my server TJ finally comes over and says would you like anything else. I tell him that both my appetizer and dinner were served cold at the exact same time...he says to me I have no control over that. He says if I want to complain that is what that form he slapped down on your table is for. Then he says would you like your bill reduced? I said no that Im not looking for my bill to be reduced and that Id still tip him but that I want to give feedback to management. I look at the form and their is no web address. I ask him for that and he gives me a completely wrong web address for me to give feedback. We all have a vote to where we want to eat and support. This will no longer be one of the restaurants that I will patronize.

To be fair: I was there right before close - which is a bit of a nebulous description. The hours listed in the window say "10AM to Close". Thats helpful. On entering, I was told they were closing in 15 minutes but could still put in an order. I ended up ordering the Buffalo Chicken Bites and about 10 minutes later got a bag with a large-ish bowl in it. I didnt bother to look until I got back to the hotel. First off - the buffalo bites were $12.99. Im probably being generous here when I say that there were no more than 12 "bites" (bites if youre like a pigmy) that were, in the biggest case, about a tablespoon in size. Comically tiny. There was more celery in the bowl than chicken. Had I paid $4 or $5 for said amount of buffalo bites - Id have been fine with it. But 13 bucks for probably 3 oundes of chicken and 4 ounces of celery? Thats highway robbery. To add insult to injury, I gave the guy a $4 tip - for the privilege of being ripped off. The *only* reason it isnt 1 star is my colleague ordered tacos and was very happy with them.

Went here today for lunch and it was literally the worst burger I have ever had. I ordered the Beet Burger, not realizing it was actually a patty of beets. (thought it had beets on it) The waitress was kind enough to take it back and bring me an actual burger. However, the burger she brought me was burnt to a crisp. It was awful, but at this point I had no more time to wait because I had to get back to work. I also got some of the garlic crispy smashed potatoes, which were not actually crispy and I couldnt taste any garlic. The only thing they offered me for this awful burger was a coupon for a free drink the next time I come in. I said no thank you, I wont be returning. So, I spent $14.00 dollars on a meal that I wouldnt feed to a dog. I will never go back and I do NOT recommend this place at all.

I have been to the Kitchen Next Door 2X. The first time I had the Koberstein burger for $10. Absolutely Loved it! ...but its too small, (it looked like a slider to me); and Nothing but coleslaw comes with it. But they are all too happy to sell you a side.So if you dont mind spending $20 with tip for a burger, Id recommend it. Went there again today for lunch and tried the roasted salad. $10. Just OK. And again, small portion. I even bought a cup of sausage & kale soup for $3.95 with it to help, and Im back at my office right now eating walnuts because Im still hungry. Spent $20 again on lunch, and they didnt even fill me up. Truth be told, I may go back occasionally for the burger, but thats it. And their outside patio needs more seating & mood lights. Cant see the menu after dark.

not a place for foodies. so disappointed as ive eaten at the Kitchen in Boulder for years. Took a special friend there last night for a farewell dinner as she is moving out of state. Mojito was sent back by her because it was from a mix. Red wine was served cold like soda pop. The manager came over and argued with my friend that the mojito was the style now to mix a couple of days a head of time and he tasted hers and loved it. my burger was way over cooked, tough and pork slider was cold. Kale chips were delicious as were the potatoes. Overall I would not go back. Would love to try the Kitchen downtown, but afraid of being disappointed. I know you will make a lot of money guys for your ideas and chains but not the quality of the original. Not by far.

This place is so likable until you come a few times. Ive had the burger 3 times now and it went from not bad to why did I just order this again?? It is grass fed, but its dry, small, and forgettable. I got a side of garlic aioli to add some moistness to balance it out but the "medium rare" burger Ive ordered 3 times now still comes out medium well every time. The meatballs and grits were decent but I dont think they are $13 decent. The mashers are worth a try but the staff will recommend them every time as amazing. They have a small draft beer selection and nice cocktail list. The ambiance is superb - farm to table meets industrial. Maybe I should come back and stop ordering the burger and go for one of the $18 and up main courses.

Nice ambiance., but the food was overpriced small portions. I had the morning Mac. $11 for 1/2 cup of Mac and cheese with an egg on top was just a little hard to swallow. My partner had a patty melt. The beef was small compared to all the surrounding sour dough bread filled with a very wet Cole slaw. Very messy. Would have preferred the slaw on the side cutting down on napkin use. A side of arugala lettuce, a waste of money and plate space. Everybody didnt know what to do with just lettuce. I ordered a bloody Mary. Bert vodka with Beet juice and dill. Interesting.$50.00 lunch for two. Disappointing. Thankfully there are more establishments in that area to try.

The smashed potato appetizer was super yummy... but ...sadly the arugula salad was super boring.. just arugula leaves and grilled chicken.. with lemon and olive oil.. . nothing else.. seriously. Also had the salmon entree. Salmon was a tad dry . Served over beets, quinoa, and kale with a dressing that tasted like straight cider vinegar. Again.. not tasty and darn boring unless you are looking for a super healthy simple meal. Was excited to try this restaurant as I know it is related to The Kitchen in Boulder which was always good. Sad... hope they use feedback from reviews to make positive changes..
