I loved this place for years but had a very bad experience that last time I went so I have stopped going. I asked for an omelette without the raw onions. The server was new and she just kept getting more and more confused by my request. She had the cook take off pretty much everything. I had to ask that the tomatoes etc be put back on the omelette. It took almost an hour to get my order. It ended up being about an egg and a half and a dry, untoasted English muffin. (I went home and made my own breakfast. I was still hungry) When I went to pay, the cashier took off half the cost but seemed resentful. I was never unkind to the server. I was a waitress in college so I am never rude to wait staff. However, one of the staff at the front desk told me that if I wanted special service ( no raw onions) I should consider coming in at 7am or 1pm. I have found another place where the onions are cooked in all the dishes. I still have a bad feeling though about how I was treated here after coming for many years.

I went in for a nice breakfast one morning and found about 8 men from the staff flirting with a female hostess just as soon as I walked in the doors. All of them were just standing around, making side jokes about what they did the night before. One of them even commented that they wanted to go out with her after work. The male waiter that sat me looked like a frat boy who just rolled out of bed and went to work. His shirt was two sizes too big for him and reeked of beer. I was quickly reminded why I dont eat in Thornton anymore. Ive always enjoyed eating here but after that experience - I do not think Ill be visiting again.

2nd time I was here this month, first time I was here the service was a joke, the sever spilled our drinks on the to the table. As we were ready to leave and asked for a to go box, and the sever was never to be found again. I should make note that the place was empty at this time as well.... Now for today I was eating my food and found a nice chest hair or pube I have always loved the egg and i, but this location really has changed my mind about it.. :-(

Love eating here. Food is good for the price, and its pretty consistant. The manager and staff are a big reason why I enjoy coming here. They are friendly and provide good service. You can tell this place is liked by many, I frequently see the same people in for breakfast. I have not had their lunch menu, but breakfast is always good.

Good atmosphere, service and food. They are accommodating and flexible on their menu. For $ 1.80 extra I was able to add 5 different veggies to my scramble eggs. I also like that I get a large pot of hot water and two tea bags without having to ask. They have other kinds of tea besides just regular black tea. I like this place. ☺

I ordered an egg and toast. They managed to screw up the egg. Which is the restaurants namesake...? I go out to enjoy good food and great service, but I was not impressed at all with either. Wont pay for either of those here again!

Our kids love this place so it has become a regular spot for us. I keep trying new things each time and its been a little hit and miss overall. All the portions are a bit oversized and their better dishes are absolutely great.
