I have lived in Englewood for years and finally tried Breakfast Queen today for breakfast. The location and staff have a lot of charm. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and efficient. You get the kind of personal service that used to be common 30-40 years ago.. While I was impressed with the service, the food left a lot to be desired. I had a omelet (that wasnt a omelet) hash browns, sausage and toast. The "omelet" was actually scrambled eggs prepared on the flat top with meat and veggies dropped in, and then folded over. They then put a wad of cheddar cheese on top that quickly hardened into a semi-gooey blob. IMO, its not an omelet unless you add cubed butter and prepare it in a skillet. The hashbrowns were overly buttery and heavy, but the real loser on the plate was the sausage. It was completely over cooked and inedible. But hey, they managed to make a nice piece of toast! I had really high hopes for this place. With all the accolades it has received, I was expecting better prepared food than I received. To their credit, portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Plus you can expect wonderful service, even if its your first time there. However, even with these high points, I cant recommend Breakfast Queen. Good service and ambiance doesnt make up for bad food, at any price.

Excellent service & menu. If you want real breakfast and old fashioned service, this is the place. An old staple for locals, theyll constantly top off your coffee. Not a lot of tables, but seems they have 3-4 servers every time I go. You wont get the "usual slow, unmotivated service" of bigger fancier places, the wait staff are experienced professionals (even the young ones). Sometimes youll have to wait for a table, but well worth it. Ive been eating here for years & always had good experience. (Chances are high it has a lot to do with the owner/ chef as opposed to some hired flunky). Update; they moved over a space or two in the strip mall. Updated the interior finish, service & food still gr8. More tables & more wait staff.

Oh my GOD, this place is so delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I consider myself pretty picky about diner/breakfast food, but this is hands-down the best breakfast I have had in the Denver metro. The cinnamon rolls are to die for, they are so delicious; the service is very prompt and meal served very efficiently; the ambience is very pleasant; and everything on the menu tastes so good overall. Wow, wow! Clearly other people know about this place since it is pretty packed on a weekend morning. Cant wait to return.

If you are in Denver you have got to try The Breakfast Queen. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and helpful. My coffee cup was never empty even thought the place was hopping. The menu was extensive and had lot of interesting options. Our food was fast and delicious. We were commenting miles down the road that we wanted to turn around just to eat there again.

Great space, excellent service, and some of the best home cooked breakfast in town. The rellenos are some of the best in Denver. The breakfast bowl- tater tots smothered in green chili cheese sauce and topped with eggs, sausage peppers, tomatoes... to die for. Best cinnamon rolls served with a side of butter-- A-mazing. Dont miss out on this place!!

This place is great! Ive never been disappointed with what Ive ordered. The breakfast burrito is a treat, and last time I tried one of their tater tot bowls which sounded weird but was really good, like a skillet with tater tots instead of breakfast potatoes. Their remodeling - a while back- totally changed the vibe for the better.

Great service, good food that feels home cooked. Great local business where the owner is right beside the staff clearing tables and seating guests. They know the names of regulars and keep the coffee flowing. They have now moved to a new shop 2 doors south. The new location is bigger but still has that special small place feel.

Good atmosphere, good and fast service, but bad to mediocre Eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce appeared to either be very overcoocked or made from some sort of mix, rather than made in-house. Its bland taste reflected this appearance. The coffee, while brewed well, was just average. Decent hashbrowns.

Absolutely incredible. EXACTLY what Im looking for in a delicious home style diner. These folks have their green Chile game on point, and they offer a wide variety of delicious breakfast options. Get something with the green chile or you will have made a huge mistake. Friendly and helpful staff too!

Have eaten there many times and the down home service and generous portions keep me coming back. Bought the smothered burritos for my staff numerous times and the wait staff and owner greet me like an old friend! Dont expect white tablecloths and fine linen, this is diner food in the best sense.

Reasonably priced, excellent diner food. Im so tired of breakfast places that end up costing $20/person. Most plates here are $8, a short stack of HUGE pancakes is $5, coffee is $2.25. The green chili is awesome! No alcohol, so youll have to stay sober for 2 hours.

Best Breakfast in Englewood with the WORST coffee. Pancakes are amazing, awful coffee, hashbrowns ordered extra crispy delivered the awesome, awful coffee, good breakfast meats and awful coffee served by a fantastic and accommodating staff. The coffee is awful.

This place is AMAZING! If youre the type that likes a lot of seasoning on your breakfast, youre gonna have to add it yourself cause they leave it pretty bare. Somehow, it tastes even better this way though! Friendly staff, savoury food, definitely recommend

Great food, extremely friendly staff. Its good, heart warming food at a very friendly price. Large menu can be overwhelming but you can truly get anything you like. Even the basics. Would recommend for anyone looking for a great alternative to chains.

Really great food and service. Good coffee, and the steak and eggs was perfect - the steak was way better anything I expect at a diner. Only slight downside - its really really loud in the big, open space, but that goes with the territory.

Came here for breakfast expecting some good food after seeing the reviews. The food wasnt hot when it came out and everything was bland. I ended up using ketchup to eat my breakfast burrito to give it some flavor. Pancakes were doughy.

Love this place! Food is very good, your friendly neighborhood place. Regulars go there, which we are becoming. Good variety on the menu, you wont go away hungry. Large free parking lot. It is noisy, but worth it.

The service was great and so was the atmosphere, but the water we got tastes like rock water and there was not a lot of chicken options on the menu. The food portions were great but the taste was a bit bland.
