@jellycafe - an apt name for a place of breakfast. It was busy for a Thursday morning. College crowd. There was a cacophony of laughter and conversation, a din morning feasting can only create. I was seated. I had a hankering for biscuits and gravy. And a side of bacon. The wait staff was super friendly, referring to me kindly as my friend and boss. My order placed, I soaked up the ambience. The black house coffee was strong. I was pleased. I was also existing in a state of weakness hunger. As a proud member of the Biscuits and Gravy Society I was drooling with anticipation of the arrival my breakfast. The hip college crowd spoke of things I understood. Dropping eaves into conversations I learned of manscaping beards, roadtrips, class ditching and loves of bacon and sausage. Breakfast brings us all together. A shot of Irish Cream, Baileys Original, can be added to coffee proudly of the Colorado Coffee Merchants Cabin blend. Classic beverages such as White Russian and Bloody Mary are available. Now to the food. The Biscuits and Gravy were quite good. The biscuits were fluffy homemade. The gravy was made with care, not typical, which was refreshing. I tasted sage. And there was a bay leaf in there. The home fry potatoes had a dollop of sour cream. I was impressed. Very impressed. I shall return. You should also. Youll be glad you did.

Quite Disappointing. I realize it was late Saturday morning and it was busy...but our waitress came by the table maybe twice (only once to fill coffee despite passing us constantly) . Not friendly at all. Food took almost an hour to show up (eggs, mind you) and was lukewarm. We had virtually no communication from our server, an acknowledgment that things were slow, or even asking how our meal was. My Benedict was supposed to have poblano and chorizo, and there was barely a teaspoon of chorizo and nothing green was visible. Plating was a mess. Looked like they had everything tossed on the plate from a distance. I really want to like this place, and understand directly how things can work in that kind of place as all our table have worked in diner-type places or are servers...but with the prices that they charge, this was unacceptable. The best things we had were the drinks, Jelly Mimosa was delicious and the Bloody Salad was good. The Garbage Pail Kids collection in the Mens room was awesome, but I hate to think that was the best thing about the restaurant.

Super cute place with sorta mediocre food. The donuts are kind of like balls of bread, though the lemon topping was tasty. Coffee was eh. I had the Molly Hot Brown and it was okay, kind of gloppy. My girlfriend had the sweet potato hash, and the potatoes were pretty bland- they didnt seem to have any seasoning. They didnt ask what type of jelly she wanted for her toast, and first brought something that might have been apple or pear and was basically like applesauce, but when she asked for something different it was raspberry and that was super tasty. I think if I came here again, Id get donuts and some sort of cocktail but nothing else, because the cocktail menu looked really good and Im sure the donuts would be yummy with a drink! Also, maybe it was an off day but the service wasnt spectacular - we didnt get water or coffee refills until we asked for them and we seemed to have several different servers from different sections coming by throughout the meal, who didnt really communicate on what wed already received.

Between the two competing local juggernauts of snooze and jelly, jelly takes the cake or the donut if you will. With their own in house jelly and donut bites you meal is off to an excellent start. Top that off with bottomless mimosas and the Molly hot Brown and the competition is taken by a landslide. Offering several locations you will still have to wait in line due to popularity unless you get there between breakfast and lunch. While I still have other favorites, jelly earns my vote for best breakfast spot in Denver.

Satisfy your morning sweet-tooth or fuel up for the day in a delicious way, all complete with very reasonable drink prices. They have fresh made donut holes available in different flavors. I was surprised you can give yourself a donut hole flight! I ordered a bacon scramble with ample pieces of crispy thick-cut bacon incorporated. The plates are huge so come hungry! The staff was attentive and wore some awesomely geeky aprons. Im so glad my friend brought me to this place and will definitely come back!

We want so bad to like this place but it just doesnt measure up to our expectations. The decor is kitchy and fun with superhero women wallpaper and scrabble countertop. The food is decent but the service is quite sub par. We just went today and had to wait 20 minutes for our coffee and juice and just under an hour for our food without so much as a "sorry for the delay" or anything. Were not really ones to write reviews but we felt compelled to do so in this case.

I was super disappointed I had heard good things about this place I got the corned beef hash and it tasted like they fried everything in old oil. Why would you use oil use butter! Wasnt cooked good made me sick to my stomach the whole rest of the day. Plus the waiter wasnt very friendly he barely smiled. Ive had corn beef hash my whole life since my mother is from Ireland and used to make it amazing . Wouldnt recommend it at all. Overpriced breakfast!

I dont usually go for so called hip places. Im getting too old for that. But this spot is nice. Most of the wait staff is tatted up and young and friendly. The décor brings back childhood memories and the food is good. All the makings of a hip restaurant. And I keep coming back. Sometimes you have to wait but Ive never waited more than 15 min for a table and usually less than 20 for my food. Oh and Amanda the manager, shes pretty hot.

Have eaten here a half dozen times since they opened a few years ago. Their name implies that theyve at least mastered jelly... But no! And its not even jelly--if you know the difference between: jelly, jam, marmalade, etc. Their potato mashes all taste like theyve been sitting in salt baths, and theres no other flavor (like savoryness of sweet potato). Toast options are limited and not even homemade. Expensive!

First, I was seated at the wrong time than what I was told. Also when we were seated our waitress got our order wrong and had someone else bring to us. Than out waitress didnt refill our drinks throughout the entire meal till we asked for our check. Lastly I seem to be short on money when she gave me my change back. But despite the poor customer service the food was still finger lickin good.
