Ive been once and was impressed. This place may garner 5 stars in a future update to this review but as of this writing Ive been once. Food was VERY good. Our only observation on how it could be improved was flavors were a bit bland although we think this was because it was freshly prepared and the spices didnt have time to integrate as well as they might. (Weve experienced this with asian food while cooking at home as well). That said, even being slightly bland to our tastes everything was very fresh and delicious. We had three appetizers and two main dishes and we enjoyed everything. There were MANY things on the menu that we are anxious to try again at a future visit. We also got two speciality cocktails, which were somewhat pricey although in-line with downtown prices. They were, however, much better than typical downtown cocktails! I highly suggest any of the cocktails as they are unique, delicious, and stronger than they might seem at first. Service was very good. Our waiter was there when we needed him and we only waited a little while for our first cocktails and I think that was just because the bar had a busy surge for a short time Atmosphere is nice. Modern downtown with Asian accents and designs. Very clean space and the bar would be a nice place to sit after work and have a few drinks. This place is super easy access to the convention center, Performing Arts Complex, and Convention Center Lightrail. Thanks to the lightrail access well come downtown via Lightrail to dine here again.

First of all, the server was great. Things went downhill quickly from there. My Mom and I both ordered the Clay Pot, which the server said was his favorite dish. When I asked him to use brown rice for mine, i noticed him write it down, so I dont think it was his mistake when my order came out with white rice. When he offered to have the kitchen remake my dish I happily said, "Please." As we didnt have any time constraints... He said it should be out in 7 minutes. I ate the remainders of the fried chicken wings app we had ordered while waiting for my entree. My Mom ate slowly, but I told her not to worry about it. About 20 minutes later, my dish still wasnt ready, so I took a bathroom break. When I got back, my meal was waiting, and Mom told me to eat carefully. She had just found A PIECE OF GLASS in her food. After tipping the server, I told him we wouldnt pay for this meal. He said that was fine. As soon as we stood up, the manager came over and aggressively demanded we pay for the appetizer and the two glasses of wine we had drank. If I had been there with anyone other than my mother, I would have flat out refused. The food was okay at best, and the kitchen messed up pretty badly. Then the manager, who should really understand how customer service works better than that, was unremorseful about the mistakes made on his watch. Id give it zero stars if I could. If you want good Asian food downtown, check out Aloy, on 21st and Larimer.

I just moved into the spire and dropped in for a few drinks and food Friday night and it was truly amazing! Costumer service was great and the food was beyond amazing. On Sunday I went again with a party of 6 to celebrate my moms birthday for brunch since they had a good deal going on with bottomless mimosas, and our server Gina was absolutely terrible. She was slow and drinks took forever. We as a party had to sit over 5 to 10 minutes just to get the 1st round going. Refills took just as long. I was truly embarrassed in front of my family since i was the one who chose this place. Literally next door at The Corner Office Restaurant they offer you more drinks before the glass is even empty, even during happy hour! What pissed me off is that I had to get up and order at the bar since she was no where to be found at any point during my whole visit. Im truly sad since I thought I had found a nice Chinese food restaurant at the bottom of my building. I might give it another shot in the future, but with so much competition downtown I would rather go spend my money elsewhere. Also just to mention they werent even busy and I got charged 20% gratuity. I feel that she knew she was going to get her gratuity so providing top service wasnt a priority.

I stopped by here with a bunch of friends during a convention. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. Really nothing to write a review about but the low score actually comes from the wait staff. Rather, I should say that it comes from my experience with one of the wait staff. The waiter that we had was definitely not new, but did everything that she could to try to convince us to not get Separate Checks. Now, we are from New York City where they do not do Separate Checks. However if your restaurant does not do Separate Checks and youre not in New York where the practice of not doing Separate Checks is exclusive it seems to that City, then you should not offer Separate Checks as an option. Had this been made clear up front everything would have been okay comma however we were told that separate checks were fine. By the end of the transaction however, the waitress was very reluctant and gave us multiple excuses as to why she did not want to do Separate Checks. We took it upon ourselves to be helpful but knowing that this was the only time a waiter had ever done something like this to us it was crazy. She wasnt mean about it, but it was just very strange and everybody took notice.

I was excited to see that this was a Hong Kong bistro, but its not one at all when it mainly has sichuan dishes and American orange chicken. The descriptions of the food sound cool but turn out to be unauthentic. Its a very cute place that tries to be edgy, but thats about it. Service was not good; staff werent very attentive, and they didnt have an urgency to clear tables or check on people. It wasnt even that busy yet the staff were slow. The chow fun, which is a classic Chinese dish, was a little weak. It apparently had wagyu, but it just seemed like any other dry beef to me, and for lunch it was just a snack portion. Also tried the "jumping chicken." It was just dry chicken nuggets with a ton of dried red Chinese chillies and herbs...not good. They tried to use Chinese spices but used too much so there wasnt any balance, and your tongue is rendered numb afterwards. Sorry guys, I think you might be better off with Panda Express.

The food is great. The wait staff has been wonderful to me as well. They recognized me starting with my second visit and know what I usually get to start out with. I used to frequent this place every week or two. However, theyve closed early right in front of me twice in a row now. The second time, they saw me about to walk in and ran over and flipped the closed sign on me as Im about to walk in. I get it, you want to close at 630 instead of 8 on a slow night. You probably shouldnt pull that move on a decently tipping regular, but I also understand my individual business wont impact them much. It would have been nice for you folks to at least talk to me about why youre doing that.
