Used to like this place.. Even with the realization that theyre pretty overpriced for what you get compared to other places in downtown Denver that give you double that for $10 (breaded meat to the extreme to where the portion and its legitimacy is questionable) But the straw that broke the camels back occurred when I called at 9:30 for an order to pickup, drove there and arrived at 9:45 to see them trying to lock the doors with the Manager closing it shut. Their store hours indicate to me that theyre trying to close early at this point. Time is money, and its extremely important to get every minute out of your store hours thats there to make sure you get every last cent for your business future, and not put out red flags on my end and others by cutting corners. Even with how I felt about that inconvenience, I let that internally slide when I got my order. I also let it slide when I had to come back, calling a line that wouldnt pick up until the last minute because they were trying to close early because they didnt even have forks in the bag (which to the managers excuse was that you have to let them know during dinner hours if you want utensils or not; which is bad business with how many people come in and out that place to where trying to save a bunch of forks becomes pointless and damned-near counterproductive). Long story short, my bag when I had it in my passenger leaked all over the seat, belt buckle and even my carpet floor because of how rushed they were in bagging it. Their rice NOT having any seasoning or taste, and the orange chicken being water-boarded in sauce didnt help either, I guess, guys. Naturally, I wont be eating or spending any of my hard-earned money on this business whos quite honestly just signed themselves off as a place thats just in their own heads with the positive reviews on here and amount of customers that they get, and unaware of how detrimental it can be to cut corners.

Chinese food is my favorite type of food. As so, I was really looking forward to this place, especially after seeing the many great reviews. Unfortunately, it just did not measure up. Like others have said, the people are friendly and pricing is fair for the portions. We ordered general Tso chicken and beef broccoli with a side of steamed and fried rice. The chicken was OK. Some parts a little over fried, and could have used a little more spice, but the flavor was there. However, the beef... DISGUSTING! Not sure if it had gone bad, but the closest thing I can relate it to is the pungent smell of urine you get when walking behind a bar alley. It was bad. Im hoping that this was just an off day for New China, but if --- and thats a big IF--- we come back, we are not getting the Beef and broccoli.

I really feel bad saying this, but I found the food unedible. I dont think I have ever had chinese that was this bad outside of NYC. The staff was very friendly. The price was very good. And maybe I was there on an off night, or I got the wrong thing (sesame chicken and egg drop soup). The chicken was just unedible, my dog wouldnt even eat it. The egg drop soup wasnt as bad, but the pees in it, tasted like the poured some frozen pees into the soup. I might try it again, and I encourage others to try it, because clearly a lot of people think its good, and its completely possible I was there on an off night.

I have ordered from this place many times but last night they took my love for them to a new level. I screwed up and ordered the wrong item. When I got home with my pickup order I thought they made a mistake and I gave them a call. I quickly discovered it was me who made the error. The gentleman who answered the phone said it was an honest mistake and would deliver me the correct dish free of charge! When they arrived with my food they refused to accept payment. Outstanding customer service. Food is always great and affordable.

Dont let the small and Spartan shop fool you, New China Cafe is amazing. Theres nothing foodie or unique on the menu, but they do traditional American style Chinese better than anyone. All of their main courses are exceptional examples of the staples, and their sides and appetizers are out of this world. Of special note is the hot and sour soup, and anything that comes out of the fryer. Dont skip the crab cheese wontons.

Excellent food, amazing customer service, and so much leftovers. Everyone here was so nice. Very reasonably priced. I cant say enough good things :) I really felt like our business was appreciated. Sesame chx, wontoons & egg drop soup was the best. I also liked the casual environment. Its def more of a takeout place as only a few tables but I did enjoy sitting down to eat here. Would recommend to anyone. :)

Certainly the best Ive had out of two dozen or so Asian take out joints in Denver Ive tried over the past year or so. I came from a faraway land rich with great Asian food of all stripes, and this place is one of the few that truly does what I love. Theyre also super courteous and they work hard to get deliveries out fast.

Sitting right next to a 7-11 and easy to overlook, this Chinese restaurant is worth checking out. The General Tsos chicken is some of the best I have ever had and the prices are quite reasonable. The quaint dining area of 4 tables shows that the vast majority of their business is tailored to take out and delivery.

This place must have written their own reviews. The sesame chicken was literally peanut size chicken scraps surrounded by 2 inches of weird breading. Not just a few pieces, every single piece. It was like I was eating just fried breading. Disgusting, but strong work on making it look good on Google.

I ordered food and it arrived fast but the chicken WAS RAW!!!!!! No joke. When I called them they said please bring it back and we will cook you another dish. First of all I ordered takeout because my car is in the shop, second of all who wants more raw chicken???????????????????????????????????????????

What can I say? The sesame chicken didnt have sesame seeds on it and was so overly sugary that it was nauseating. The kung pao didnt even have peanuts in it... The best part of the meal was the white rice. Ill never be coming back to this place. Save your money.

I love this place! I order from here all the time and have never been disappointed. The portions are large and the prices are beyond reasonable. I usually order delivery and far to often OTHER places take way to long and my food arrives cold, but not here.
