Vegan/vegetarian items sound better on menu than what they actually are. After watching a film at the SIE next door, we decided to catch a late evening dinner at around 9:00 PM Our seating options were outdoors (where you can be bombarded by your choice of vehicle exhaust or cigarette smoke) or indoors where from another section the noise from "open mic" permeates the room, and as an added bonus seated 15 minutes after we came into an empty dining area, next us starts the game of "Cards Against Humanity" where one of the people working here (co-owner?) is playing boisterously with a very foul mouth. They normally have a reserved section in the far corner of the room but tonight they decided to be seated immediately adjacent next to us near the middle of the room. Nothing picques ones appetite for a not inexpensive meal like the table next door describing human excrement as a food item or womens genitalia as if they were co-host with a certain poltical clown prior to aspiring for public office. So the ambiance is deceptively enticing at first and more like a bad pub out of "Bar Rescue" once we placed our order and were trapped. In hindsight we should have cancelled our order and left. It was that bad. The goods... NOT! Vegan Tacos - note its plural. Now most "street tacos" weve had at restaurants in the area have two tortillas to keep their generous fillings from breaking through. Not so here, our server said with a straight face, "those are two tacos". Look at the picture Im including and it is quite clear this is a single taco with two tortilla (which they didnt even grill before plating). Sorry but that is not worth the $6.00 they charge. Much better vegan/vegetarian tacos are nearby elsewhere. "Baby kale salad with apple vinaigrette, spiced cashews and sesame vin 9 VEGAN, GF" - sounds great, especially the "spiced cashews" except they werent. There were a few ordinary toasted cashews and it just wasnt anything worth the overpriced cost. Their "Gardenburger" sounds great with an in house made patty multiple types of mushrooms and garbanzos served on a "Challah bun", what you get for $12.00 is a mushy, rather bland disappointment served on a white bread bun whose dominant taste is the dill pickle slices that need to be removed in order to discern any other flavor. I paid to "upgrade to the Truffle Fries" but they were out so got the "Rosemary Parmesan" fries for $2.00 more instead. They were crispy but way too oily and while they were sprinkled with parm, no rosemary was perceivible. The food here is what can best be described as overpriced "bar food". Its oily, lacks imagination in presentation or taste, and does not make for a satisfying dinner. There are better late evening dining options nearby which are much better. This place has better reviews mostly regarding their brunch. It may be better but at night they are marketing to the "bar scene" not dining.

The hostess was very polite and sat us promptly. The service was very slow. They were on happy hour menu, which stated -$2 off drafts. I asked what drafts were available and the server stated, "do you know what you want because its easier if you know what you want." Word choice was a bit poor, but I got his point. They brought out two out of three drinks and I had to remind the server we had ordered a third drink. They brought out two out of three appetizers and after quite some time I had passed I had to remind the server we ordered a third appetizer. When the food did arrive we had no utensils and no side plates. I requested both and the food runner dropped off plates with no utensils. So I asked he hostess for utensils. About 15-20 mins after I reminded the server about the third appetizer, it arrived. The Brussells sprouts salt was overly accentuated by the lemon, and same went for the kale salad. The spinach artichoke dip was tasty, but chips did not taste fresh. I was breastfeeding at the table and it really made the server uncomfortable when he approached to ask how we would like the check divided. I was a little surprised that when the check arrived that there was no discount or anything even offered given that everything had been a little bit of a hot mess during our afternoon meal. We ate mid afternoon on a Sunday and the restaurant was not at all busy, otherwise I may have been a bit more understanding of the forgotten necessities like food, drink, plates, and utensils. The mens room had a changing table and they have a kids play area towards the tattered cover.

My bf and I went here last night for a Cards Against Humanity Tournament and arrived about an hour early. Everyone seemed friendly but our waitress; she took a long time to even get around to our table, took our drink order solemnly and left. The bartender brought over the drinks and was super polite, but then the waitress returned and asked what we wanted to eat. The moment we ordered an appetizer and decided to forego entrees she basically disappeared. A member of the kitchen staff brought over the appetizer, and the hostess had to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks. Our waitress only returned after we asked for the check, setting it down without looking at either of us. Once I put my card in to pay, it took so long for her to pick it up that we started rifling through our wallets for cash just so that we could leave. And the best part? At nine thirty there was no sign of an event being set up. Normally, Id be fine with giving a place more leeway, but after being treated like second-class customers all night all we wanted to do was go. So I cant say for sure that the alleged cards against humanity is false advertising, but I dont think the treatment would be worth it either way. Long story short: the parking is great, most of the employees are nice, but our main point of contact--the waitress--was the complete opposite. And we actually managed to rack up a thirty-four dollar tab, so its not like it wouldnt have been worth her time to offer some semblance of service.

I have been here twice and both experiences were great. The service is laid-back and casual, which is perfect for the space, and the food is excellent! The chicken and waffles were a revelation. The chicken was golden brown and crispy on the outside, perfectly juicy and tender on the inside; the croissant waffles were crispy along the edges and had a lovely, layered softness; and the venison gravy which accompanied the entree was seasoned perfectly, lending a deep, satisfactory savoriness that complemented the dish and tied it all together. Ive only had mimosas while dining here (and, trust me, theres no skimping on the bubbly), but I caught a glimpse of some local craft beer handles that definitely piqued my interest. I will absolutely be going back to The Goods... and bringing as many friends as I can!

The food is affordable, unique, and delicious. The presentation is excellent and they have a good selection of liquor. The staff is always friendly. During our last visit, I was told by our waiter that the vegetables were locally sourced from a community garden. The only recommendation that I have has nothing to do with food. When I first walked in I couldnt tell who was a customer and who was an employee because the wait staff are allowed to wear business casual clothing - instead of uniforms - which is a cool modern day practice. However from a first time customers standpoint, (I went in the late afternoon) Im not sure who to ask for assistance. Nonetheless Id recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area.
