ive lived right by here for a few years. on occasion i would stop by for breakfast or lunch. way over priced... and they dont season the food at all. very bland tasting and boring menu. Ive wondered about the cleanliness of the cooks. they look like cavemen that havent discovered a razor or shower yet. forget about this place.. they really need a change. everything is dated they got antiques everywhere theyre selling. it looks more like a second hand store or yard sale. if you like commerce city water try the ice tea. i might just come out the color from the tap, add sugar.. tastes like toxic waste. they gave me old french fries. and then told me they were fresh when i complained. i used to order the club sandwich until i got sick.. cause i dont think they keep the cold cuts cold. like the roast beef and turkey has been sitting out for days. i ordered the chicken fried steak once... the toughest piece of meat i ever had it was tough and stringy. ive order the breakfast burrito with green chile. they put a splash of chile and the potato and eggs have no salt or pepper tastes like paper.

I have been eating at Butcher Block since high school, 20 years ago, and its still my favorite place to eat! I grew up in small towns, you know the ones without any stop lights, and maybe not even a stop sign. This is the type of place everyone came to for news, gossip, a smile, and a hot meal. Where waitresses know your name, keep the hot coffee coming, and remember your "usual," if you have one. :) Where they share a joke across the restaurant, and take good care of their customers. Solid, plain, country cooking, healthy only because you season it yourself. (Mr. "Not seasoned" should take his negative review and stick to an over priced, impersonal, IHOP and leave us country folk to our pleasures.) I recommend the Roundhouse to any real working people needing a solid breakfast to keep you going doing hard work. The lunches and dinners still remind me of grandmas cooking on the farm, simple but filling. The knick-knacks just add a bit of charm for the ladies that like to buy things with a bit of history for gifts or pleasure. And the cinnamon rolls are heaven on earth!

This place has gone downhill so much. The dishes and silverware are dirty. The dining area is crowded, cluttered, and filthy. The service feels rushed, rude, and disingenuous. The food used to be the saving grace here and has finally passed the point of edible. Scrambled eggs came in a congealed mass like a giant fried egg. Hash browns were mushy country potatoes, sloppy, lumpy and greasy. The bacon and sausage in the burrito were not cut up in any way, just a whole piece of bacon and a whole sausage link. Dont worry, the houseflies are free. Sorry to say that we wont be back.

Ok so anyways i phone in a order for me and my partner .i order a roundhouse full 8.50 ...and either i got the half roundbouse...or the half roundhouse is really small like maybe rwo bites because the full roundhouse i paid 850 for was bout 4 bites and i still hungry ..but my partner was satisfied with his breakfast sandwich ..

The restaurant itself is a bit of a dive, but the server was really sweet and we got our food and coffee fast. The French toast is surprisingly delicious, Ive not had anything quite like it. The a/c was a little drafty, cooled my coffee off a little quickly.

Butcher Block is an absolute Denver staple of joy. If you dont agree Fight Me! The "Full Round House" is absolutely hands down the best breakfast on the planet ever. I say this with full knowledge of what Im saying and support it with my life.
