Urban clientele, vegetarians, and meat-eaters, STAY AWAY! This place was awful. I give it one start just because their waitress was good. Today, this Thursday, 1/09/2014, at approximately 2 p.m. me, my boyfriend, and our friend went there. What we got is a very cold greeting by a woman I imagine to be the owner. She was dark haired, with glasses, and an expression that seemed to say "I hate everything." When our friend greeted her and asked how she was, she didnt answer. Just asked if wed be drinking coffee. I thought she didnt hear him. Still, we persisted in attempts and friendliness and were welcomed by a warm waitress who took our order. I got pork chops, vegetarian boyfriend got an item called poncho potatoes with green chile, and our friend got a breakfast burrito. When our food arrived, my porkchops were rubber. They were overcooked (no trace of pink on the inside), and difficult to chew, but I swallowed my complaints and simply took it, because really the waitress never came back to ask us how the food was. We had to catch the owner when she finally surfaced, because my boyfriend received a dish with pork. He was a vegetarian for a very long time. He looks through his food first, because otherwise his body isnt used to meat and gets very sick if meat is ingested. Sure enough, chili was meaty. When we called over the black-haired woman, we told her that he was a vegetarian and the dish had meat in it. She said, exact words: "So? What do you want me to do about it?" Wow. He told her nicely could he just have the potatoes and eggs instead? She said "Well, we have a vegetarian version." In a tone that suggested we should have known it. We pointed out, for the second time, that the menu suggested nothing about Green Chile having pork, because /traditional/ green chile dishes are just that - green chile! No extra meat! When the woman, rolling her eyes it seemed like, took his dish back and brought it to the kitchen, we actually heard the cook say "If hed been around he shoulda known that green chile has pork in it." Another wow. In that district...where they should expect clientele that cares about what goes in their food, this restaurant proved to be the most anti-vegetarian, hostile business. You cant expect the customer to know your kitchen and what goes in every dish of yours, thats why you put things on the MENU. The worst is this. When his dish was re-made, and he was almost halfway through in it, he started getting sick. Sure enough, he found a piece of PORK in the dish that was asked to be remade vegetarian. This was a single piece. I can hardly beleive it ended up there on an accident. I think the cook who mumbled something so offensive actually put it in there out of spite. On purpose. This, in my book, is equivalent to food being spat on. Disgusting, spiteful place. So just a friendly warning. If you like your pork not to taste like rubber, if you are a meat lover and like well-cooked food, and if you are a vegetarian, STAY AWAY from this place. P.S. My boyfriend did get sick due to fat product present in his food after he asked the dish to be re-made. He is getting better now but he was nauseous and could not eat much after that, even though he was still hungry after he left the place. They wont be seeing us again there, ever.

Stopped in for breakfast and was extremely disappointed. Kitchen is open so you can see cooks using the microwave to cook most of the stuff on the menu. Appeared that they even pre-cook the bacon, then freeze it, then re-cook it on the grill. My gf and i ordered two basic breakfasts and couldnt eat much of it. Hashbrowns were way overcooked on outside and cold and mushy on the inside. Toast was dripping with butter and everything was covered in thick grease sheen. Eggs were the only thing edible. If we had gone to a diner on the freeway and paid $4-$5 per breakfast it would have maybe been acceptable since thats what you expect. But it was definitely not worth $20+ for 2 basic breakfasts + coffee. Lastly, the service was pretty cold. Despite not being busy and the waitress only being a few feet away, it took a long time for her to notice we were ready to order, needed the bill, etc.

Stopped in for a quick bite with my 6 month old son and 6 year old nephew in tow. Neither one was on their best behavior, but the ladies at the counter were so kind - providing an etch a sketch for my nephew and cleaning off dropped pacifiers for me. I havent experienced friendliness like that in a long time at a restaurant. The atmosphere is so homey and the food is comfort food.

I love this place and always get breakfast/ brunch. Its got great food, service, and atmosphere. It can get super busy on the weekend, but its totally worth it if you have to wait. They do an excellent job at making sure everyone gets a seat and served as soon as possible. Highly recommended and would rather go here for brunch than anywhere else in Denver.

The BEST place for breakfast! We always bring company here when theyre visiting because its truly good ole home cooking. Kyle rocks and is so pleasant to everyone. The french toast is literally the best french toast in ALL of Denver! Nothing special, just perfection.

Good: Service was great OK: Egg sandwich and hash browns were decent Not good: Chicken sandwich was not edible. Chicken breast meat was bland and rubbery. I wouldve given them 2* because the chicken was so bad but giving the benefit of doubt in case it was one off.

Kyles kitchen is a tasty a local place. The breakfast burrito is not memorable but the biscuits and gravy are heavenly. We smelled fresh tobacco smoke a couple times during our meal, I think an employee was smoking out back. It definitely detracted from the meal.
