Sometimes things do not go our way. Im sure as any business they allow only a certain amount of workers to work at certain times. We were advised ahead of time that there was only one server and the cook was catching up, but my daughter and I didnt mind. Many of the customers who came in didnt and those that did, left when they were told in advanced. There was one sever who was staying over already at this point two hours over, the main server, and the manager all working. The food was great, the service was good too for being short handed. Everything came out correct. We are not from here and we do not have a Village Inn in Houston, but we come here because my daughter loves their pies. When my daughter who is 15 saw the two jerks that came in and make a scene, she wanted to go off on them. They dont know what kind of day anyone is having.and even if they had a rough day, dont pass it on to another. They told the one server she should be ashamed of herself. Well, the man should have been ashamed on how he was. The atmosphere was good and everyone there was working hard to keep things moving swiftly and smooth. I hope a blessing comes yalls way. I wish I could have left more of a tip than I had but I hope it helps. Hang in there! From the Texas mom and daughter!

me and my sister came to village inn for some good pancakes. First off the waitress literally took like 10 mins to come get our drink order , when there was no one there. She walked passed all the tables several times looking at us when we were looking back at her to let her know we were ready, she still never came. Finally 1,000 years later she came and got our drinks. Which were wrong. Theeenn, we ordered 2 ultimate skillets with NO mushrooms. 1,000 years later again out food came, with mushrooms. So we complained and got another meal which was half asses made and just disgusting. Then as we are waiting to get our check, the waitress is over in the corner having the time of her life laughing with her boyfriend. So we never got our check so we decided to just go to the front. We got our check handled by a different lady. All of a sudden we see our lovely waitress walking out with her boyfriend holding hands. And she did not even say anything to us which was rude if you ask me. So you can guess I left no tip. This was such rubbish.

Me and my husband went to this location, for free pie day (Wednesday)... and there was a man there by the name of Todd. He offered us a free slice of pie along with two large drinks to go. The manager came up to him and chastised him for allowing us to get two drinks and pie to go. He then went to the back to retrieve my drink as well as my husbands. He came back with our large drinks and they were not full, they were bellow the brim line. I brought it up to his attention, saying " I know for a fact when you go to a restaurant you dont fill your drink up like that" He then smacked his lips and said maam Ill go fix that" Bottom line management sucks their. The food is either over cooked or under cooked. The food has no flavor theres very minimal effort. The employees lack professional ediquite. They lack common since, their weird. Ive been there twice I had to re-order my food twice. The pie experience was horrible. Just save yourself a trip if your thinking of going here.

Came here after a concert late with my mom and sister within the last week... I understand how serving late can be a pain and the server was nice and all but man... He was so out of it. I feel like my mom was uncomfortable because he really seemed like he was under the influence of something... He kept forgetting things and my mom had to walk to the kitchen multiple times to stop different servers and ask for butter and ketchup and such... And then he brought us ketchup for our pancakes instead of syrup... I dont know his life or his story and maybe he was just tired Id like to give the benefit of the doubt but you can normally tell when someone isnt in their right state of mind. No harm no foul though. Great if you need a late or early morning breakfast since they stay open. Hope hes doing better lol..

Its sad to say but I wont be ordering from this Inn again... I ordered a takeout order, the lady at the cash register told me 10mins or so and I was fine with whatever time... I sat there for 50 mins and seeing people who just walked inn sit down and eat 10mins after being seated. Im a really patient person, but if I would have known the takeout service at this location was not a hige priority for them I would have just gone and dined in. I tipped very well too for a 18 dollar order... I get my food and its ice cold.. My food was sitting in the kitchen for awhile.. The service was mediocre. The staff is really friendly though I give them that. They are lucky I am a calm zen gal anyone else probably would have stated a refund. Loveeee villiage inn but i will travel for another location.

I went there and had a salad it was ok nothing amazing but I wasnt expecting something amazing. My biggest complaint is that I called back because I forgot my badge and keys there and the person who answered the phone refused to check if my stuff was there stating they were busy because they were making pies for the holidays and refused to connect me to a manager because she was busy too. That is really horrible customer service. If they lost something WITH KEYS attached to it I am sure that they would be frantic and furious if the service staff REFUSED to even check if it was found. I am going to file an official complaint because I am a customer too and this is a little more important than pies.

Let me be perfectly frank, this is not the place you go to if you are in a rush. Everyone here is slow. After a rockies game, my boyfriend and I came in and we stood at the front for 20 minutes. The lady (who I assume was manager) waved at us, several servers waved at us. At 15 minutes the manager gives me the one minute sign. We waited and decided this location is obviously to understaffed to correctly run and serve customers. We promptly left. However we did come back. The servers are very polite and we had one who was very nice to us, however she never came back to check on us, which I could understand when youre busy. But we were one of 5 groups in the restaurant.

They do not have one single thing on the menu for vegans...Not one ! ...everything has milk, eggs, meat, bacon. Wheat and soy. Talk about heart attack food. Perfect for killing yourself. Very Acidic to the body. They should call it Village of the Dead ! You will suffer...and die eating that kind of food. But you can tell by looking around the restaurant that the people in there are sick zombies. Everyone says get a salad...cant do it here. Once they remove the 2 layers of meat , 2 layers of cheese and eggs. All you have is lettuce...and its iceberg they worst kind to jack up your intestines. No thanks ! If youre a flesh eating dead zombie this is your place to eat.
