Been a customer of Banzai Sushi for 5 years. First visit 5 years ago was extremely enjoyable. Back then service was fantastic and food was very good. Over the years food and service has gradually declined. My last two visits at Banzai Sushi were night and day compared to my first visit 5 years ago. Dined in August of 12, and October 12. Service was extremely slow on a Sunday night. Restaurant wasnt that busy, but yet it was still extremely slow. Waited over a hour. Sitting in the middle of the restaurant, I noticed nearly all the customers around me had agonizing facial expressions. I could tell we were all thinking about the same thing, where is the food? In addition to the slow service, a table next to mine received a dirty salad.Painfully, the owner spent a good 40 minutes trying to kiss up to the customer instead of tending to other tables or expediting the flow of service. Its okay to apologize, but dont suffocate your customers. Food finally arrived but the food was fair. Some sushi were not tight and inconsistent sizes. Not even worth the wait. I asked the owner to do me a favor due to a time constraint, but he wouldnt attend to my simple request. Overall, I am extremely disappointed. Service is absolutely horrible now, and the food is not worth it. Banzai Sushi used to be my 1st choice, but it will longer be a choice at all anymore.

Customer service & atmosphere are terrible!!! So after they sat us down(2) they didnt explain much of anything about all their rolls. We were never offered anything else besides water to drink their loss for upselling and never asked if we wanted dessert after dinner, again their loss. The atmosphere is for families there were a lot of kids which is not the atmosphere I am looking for especially when they are running around and screaming(4 families like this at 6:30pm?!). Now for the sushi, it defintely was very medicore in taste, and had no presentation at all, they were just slapped up on a plate. As appetizers we ordered nitro shrimp and calamari, the calamari was terrible and nitro shrimp was ok, Im sure I could get same quality of calamari from frozen food section at market. We told the waitress that the calamari was bad and she said nothing about taking it back. I have been to Sushi Den & John Hollys and by far either one is 10x better in service and quality, spent about 80 not including tip on everything which I regret and could have gone to a better dining experience.

I love walking into a restaurant that serves ethnic food, and seeing that everyone working there, and many of the customers are of that ethnicity. I like to think that is a sign that the food is going to be authentic and good. In this case, it sure is - Banzai make some really tasty sushi. Some of their tempura rolls end up being too greasy for my taste, but their sashimi and nigiri is always fresh and tasty. I like them better than Hapa sushi, and I like the fact that they are not nearly as trendy, loud or busy as Hapa.

Have to represent for this place - its good. Come on guys, this isnt Sushi Den, its a good/fun/reasonable place on the wilds of Leetsdale. Went there on Sunday night and by six its packed with people there for the excellent happy hour specials. Rolls are rolling out of the kitchen, everyones eating happily, and the (overly) busy staff is holding it down just fine. Yes a lot of the rolls are gimmicky. Yes the fish is fine and the rolls are well prepared. Worth a visit and good value.

Our experience was awesome! The sushi was delicious, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed despite it being a packed house and our waiter was prompt and responsive to questions, of which I asked many. Nearing the end of our meal the manager (or maybe the owner) greeted us and asked how our experience was. This doesnt happen with a lot of places. We only had two days to spend in Denver and having dinner at Banzai Sushi was well worth it. Well be back the next time were in Denver.

Very good sushi as long as you can get past the exterior appearance. Ordered some spicy tuna wrapped salmon special rolls. They were very good, but EXTREMELY rich. I didnt want to eat more than two or three of them because I had a bunch more sushi coming. The food looks beautiful, very nice presentation. Everything tasted wonderful and I really enjoyed the experience. The only thing I saw that needed help was the outside of the building needing a facelift.

moneys worth. rolls are big (couldnt put 1 pc in my mouth) and you get atleast 8 pieces per roll; depending which rolls you get. it was my first time there because my sister-in-law took me there for my birthday. we had the monday nite, hula hula, tinkle and chernobyl and they were really tasty! i would go back. left out of there really satisfied. ive just found my new sushi restaraunt even though I live in westminster...

Since Im local, I gave this place a whirl when I first moved into the neighbourhood. It was fantastic and Ive been back regularly since. I love the huge choice of rolls - the Chernobyl is my favourite. Ive always found the service to be pleasant but its a small place and fills up on Saturday nights (because its good.) so sometimes the staff is pretty busy. Im an addict and Ill be back again and again.

been going to Banzai for over five years now. Its a botique restaurant. only seats about 50 ppl. get there by 5:30 on weekends or by 6:30 weeknites if you dont have reservations. the food is worth the wait (the later it gets, the busier they get, the longer it takes to get your food: just know that going in and you wont be disappointed). we love it and will continue to be loyal patrons.

Everything here is delicious. Try the oshinko, which are three types of picked vegetables. You get a yellow, purple and green type. I like the yellow but the green and purple have more salt and better texture. The rolls are all delicious. Some of my favorites are the Hot Niutz (does pack some heat with fresh jalapeno in roll) as well as the Sweetheart roll and john san and john san.

Ive been coming here for 7 years. Love this place! I can not come in for a year and they still remember me and ask about my family! Wow is a delicious spicy tuna spring roll, which is the best and they add cucumber and avocado to all their handrolls- flash gordon and the scallops handrolls are my favorite. Sometimes the wait staff can be slow but their ancient so i forgive them :)

Havent been here for quite awhile and Im sorry to say it was horrible. Fish was not even remotely fresh. Even the California roll was disgusting and tasted like chemicals. The miso served in plastic bowls, tasted like plastic. I cant say anything positive, except the waitress was very nice, but hurried our meal. Lunch was $76.00, I feel ripped off and hungry.
