Scrumptious tacos, nice variety, menu included some other items typically found in American Mexican restaurants, but I havent tried them yet. The atmosphere was good, too. Not too noisy, had nice outside seating and garage doors to slide up and open the inside to the air. The first time I went was on a Saturday afternoon, second time on a weeknight. Dinner time was more lively than lunch, but both times the place seemed popular. On my first visit, I got the sense that the waitstaff didnt find me or the people who eventually joined me very important. I ordered something and it was quick to come out, but when my friend arrived and said she was going to start with water for now, the server never came back. I chose to sit out of the thick of things, so I didnt get bumped into and could hear my friend – as a result, I felt ignored/unnoticed by the staff. It seems like a good server would intentionally check on everyone theyre serving, not just the people they cant miss. One item that we ordered was forgotten, which wouldnt really have bothered me if the server had been attentive the rest of the time. They took it off of the bill without much ado when we pointed it out. The second time I went, the service was fantastic. I dont know if it was a lunch vs. dinner thing, or maybe the issue was about the servers, but I was very pleased the second time. Everyone was attentive, too, not just our particular server. I will definitely go back, and will definitely recommend it to friends.

I found a piece of plastic in my chicken taco and nothing was done about it, my waitress didnt even address it when she brought back our check after saying shed let the manager know. I then brought it up myself, asking if she mentioned the piece of plastic to her manager, and she said "yeah I did, was it not taken off your check?" I said no it wasnt and she then continued to say "hmm, let me take that off" Not once did they apologize for the plastic or did the manager personally say anything. We then called the manager to our table and he simply patted our arms and said "thank you for bringing this to our attention, we appreciate it"...not once did he apologize. I dont know, maybe Im asking too much I just felt more should have been done or atleast an apology would have been nice. Not to mention the place itself was very unclean! Would not recommend this place to anyone. Adelitas Or El Pinche tacos are much better places!

Seriously they need to fire Matt( I believe his name is).Long fluffy black hair under a beanie, short,mustache,and calls himself the assistant manager. He is extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. Thought it was a bad day the 1st round, 2nd round my boyfriend refuses to go there anymore because Matt was horrible to us,and 3rd round took my girls for happy hour and to say the VERY LEAST was displeased with him. It was embarrassing to bring them there.I sure will miss the food, but I cant bring myself to give my money to this establishment anymore if this is how they treat their (used to be) regulars! I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, I think we got an inexperienced server (she was young, and wore her hat backwards). Everything we ordered was very dry. I got a margarita and it just want very good. Im not a connoisseur but the drink was flat tasting - not even a hint of sweet to balance out the salty. We ordered steak tacos, shrimp tacos, nachos and the quesona -- something that the waitress had a hard time explaining. The steak was closer to beef jerky and the corn tortillas fell apart. I asked for some salsa to wash everything down. Also, we asked for no onions and 2 of the 4 dishes we ordered came with onion. Not sure its worth coming back.

huge disappointment and borderline grimy. ... every time we drive by agave is fairly busy, so was really looking fwd to the neighborhood taco bar. hence my utter disappointment with the lack of soap in the bathroom, grimy glasses, and dirty silverware. as for the food, the "street taco" was good... for $4.50. but a side of beans and rice is $7!?! the agave ensalada was marginally ok, healthy and good size, but the chicken way over cooked and the dish overall was lacking dressing. on balance, the quesona was good and the staff was great. bottom line, wont be back.

EXPENSIVE and bad quality food. Just ordered the tacos al pastor and arrachera tacos. This was not al pastor meat in the traditional style where its from a spindle cooked over an open flame, it was ground up spiced pork...terrible The arrachera tacos were ok but nothing to write home about Their green and red chile de arbol salsas were insipid and without.an un bite. I am mainly disappointed because I live so close by and dont want to go to federal for decent tacos. But mostly my fault for buying $3.50 tacos...

We went last sunday. At best very mediocre. The service was non existent!! there were only 2 people serving the entire place. Every single table needed busing, People were complaining about the slow service. I witnessed a table marching up to the bar after not being attended to their entire meal and expressed that there would NOT be a tip coming. Somebody needs to tell them to man the restaurant sufficiently. The food was quite average and nothing to go back for.

Disgusting service and environment. They handed us a menu covered in old food, when my friend said "excuse me, theres something on this", the bartender replied "its just water" and he had to say again "no I dont think so, because its green". They snatched the menu away and replaced it, proceeding to ignore us for over 20 minutes. We never got the option to have a glass of water or to order food. The restaurant was about 50% full.

Weve been here 3 times, the first time the food was great and the margaritas were good and its been all down hill since then. Last night they messed up the food order, the table was sticky, and the margaritas were horrible. The tiny glasses were literally overflowing with ice leaving very little in general of actual margarita and what was there for margarita was completely watered down and tasted like water with a lime juice.

I want to like Agave so much. They have a great location and great food ideas. But their service just sucks. My wife and I have sat at both the bar and at tables, and it takes them sooo long for them to recognize that you are even there. Weve had empty glasses of water and empty beers. From the looks of other reviews, Im not the only one. I do hope they improve because Im rooting for their success.

I dont know what was better here. The food was amazing, the drinks were delicious, and the service was fantastic. The manager Travis was friendly and enthusiastic about his job. It was beyond refreshing to see someone who genuinely cares about his job. I would highly recommend this to everyone i know!

Yummy food...wanted some more but I sat at the table with an empty drink and plate for 20 minutes. Finally had to go to the counter to ask for a check. This is the second time I have had HORRIBLE service ... no matter how good the food is I will not go back. Not worth the frustration
