We have a group (6 to 8) which regularly go out for Happy Hour. 730 South has great menu, great prices. We have even been able to call ahead to reserve a table for the happy hour. HOWEVER, upon the 6:00 hour (we have been there for 1 hour) they send someone to our table to say, " the managers family is coming in and we need this table for them". Kind of kills the "happy hour" mood. My daughter, called and reserved some tables for happy hours as she takes her students parents over there. 6:00 they were told they needed to vacate for the managers family. I think this is a ruse just to get rid of the happy hour people. We have taken them off our list of great places to hang out and so has the families of the parents at my daughters school.

Been a customer here many times, never was disappointed with the different dishes I would try. I recommend the crab eggs benedict for brunch, or their ahi tuna salad, all their mexican food items are really good too. Their calamari strips app is probably the best Ive had in a while, not like the original calamari rings you would expect. The restaurant gets busy at times, but the staff are good at taking care of you and making accomodations. I prefer this place over other places in the area because the clientele is not a bunch of DU kids. Its more upscale and classy, but casual dining at the same time.

The food is overrated. My chicken piccata was rubbery (this is a dish I love but couldve cooked myself better at home) and my girlfriends portabello burger had a "weird aftertaste" according to her. Also, while waiting for her outside some racist old lady told me to park her car for her even though I clearly wasnt the valet or dressed like one, but that has more to do with the clientele than the establishment. Be warned: parking IS a nightmare. This place gains a second star simply because the staff was friendly and it has a classy and clean vibe on the inside.

Placed an order with restaurant via GrubHub and 30 minutes after order was placed, I received a call that the restaurant was not taking orders today due to it being Valentines Day. Completely respect any business limiting their services on key dates however since they clearly failed to not update GrubHub with their schedule, I see no reason why the business could not still fulfill the order. It wasnt like they werent open and clearly the customer, Me, is the one that is left empty handed or in this case, with an empty stomach.

I have been wanting to try 730 South Bar & Grill for a while now and last night was it. The ambience is nice. Good place for romantic dinner We had their six course menu and we thought it was a bit much. The presentation of the food was mediocre to say the least. Although, each dish had its unique flavors, very fresh.I would say Melisse is still my first choice for French cuisine. But overall, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly and was attentive.

My family and friends have been going to 730 South for years, and I am happy to be able to say that all of us consistently enjoy what we order AND they have an awesome and large gluten free menu! As a person with Celiac I find few restaurants that can do more than offer an accommodation to their standard glutenous fare, but I am home at 730 South. Larry has hit on a winning combination here, and truly cares about his diners (dont tell him I said that :-) )

I live very nearby and I for whatever reason I just dont go here much. Thats a mistake! My friend bought the Groupon and we got hooked up. In any case, the food is really good, the portions are massive and the ambiance is great. Dustin served us and he is by far one of the best servers in town. No, thats not hyperbole. Check the place out. I had the Stroganoff and my lunch date had the mac n cheese. Both were great. We will be back!

To the user who had to go get ANOTHER burger afterwords, its not because the food is gross, its because youre a fatty. You dont have to eat another meal to wash out the taste of a bad one. SNACKS ON SNACKS ON SNACKS. This place is ok, not great, sometimes the food is good, sometimes its pretty bad. Turkey burgers for days, dont get a salad. UPDATE: Dont get a turkey burger. Mad Diarrhea!

Great service and atmosphere every time we go there. I love that their Kids Menu includes smaller portions of some of the adult meals since my oldest daughters favorite meal is salmon and I have never seen it on a kids menu anywhere else. It is well priced and the people there obviously take pride in their establishment.

The food was really good and it is a cozy environment, but we waited for 15 minutes after we were seated and none of the staff introduced themselves. Im glad I used the passbook and didnt pay full price for the experience. They did have a good portions and quality was great.

My family has been going to 730 for a few years and think the menu has a lot of options they prepare consistently well. Service is always good and Larry the owner keeps a close eye on quality.Ask for a little more spice since the clientele is an older set. Enjoy!

Awesome comfort food and really good brunch on weekends! 730 South is a great neighborhood bar in the Bonnie Brae and Wash Park area. Ive had great service and the burgers are phenomenal!
