The Dive was everything I expected it to be...underwhelming. Sure, the service was great..but thats where it ended. This place has great curb appeal, its very inviting. But the food was awful. The staff recommended "WORKMAN – Hickory smoked brisket served on a Brioche bun, with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, and topped with horsey mayo, served with delicious crispy fries, $15.74" turned out to be a HUGE mistake; evidently you need a strong sauce to make up for what the OVERPRICED sandwiched lacked: character. The meat was old and NOT smoked; with Hickory or anything else for that matter. Basically got charged $16 for something I couldve gotten at Arbys for $5. Youll also notice that there is such a emphasis on "Delicious Crispy Fries". The Dive must have been all out of these magical french fries because what we got were plain BASIC french fries poured straight from a bag into the fryer. These fries were neither Crispy nor delicious. Again... very underwhelmed. The "Homemade Cakes" were pretty laughable at $4 a slice. If you are going to advertise "Homemade Cake" that YOU know and I KNOW came straight from a box and has most likely sitting there since LAST weekend-- do us a favor and not pass it off as something worth the markup. $1.50 is more than a fair price for stale, made-from-a-box mix slice of cake. Seriously... the only reason this place got a star at all is because the staff was friendly..thats it. I really cant see how this "Dive" has 4 stars or has been the recipient of The Independents "Best Diner" award..ever. MAYBE-- for the benefit of a doubt-- my visit was an OFF DAY and the food really is good... but based on my first and ONLY dining experience at this Dive, Ill never know, because I wont be back. Perhaps the staff should take a break from writing reviews and menu descriptions and let the customers have a crack at it.

Love this little place. Theyre always friendly, great service. Their hamburgers are amazing and they always have huge slices of homemade cake. Different flavors every day. I havent tried anything else really so I dont know what the rest of their menu tastes like but love what I have tried. It doesnt look like much but I definitely recommend this place. I edited this just now because I had their green chili omelet. It was tasty but I kept finding eggshell in it and my green chili was the reddest green chili Ive ever had, still taste awesome but just not green chili. The toast was that type of "toasted" that was rubbery and obviously microwaved. So I dont know if it was just an off day but it was still a good breakfast, just not great. My husband enjoyed his veggie one, still said his toast was rubbery. I still give this place a 5 star because im in love with their burgers.

Truly, its a "dive." However, too many, including myself, that can be a good thing. In this case, its a very good thing. The building is small, so seating is limited, but its a nice atmosphere once inside. A bit rustic and small-town, but still welcoming. Whether youre there for breakfast, lunch or dinner, the food is fantastic. The service is also good, but because theres usually only one person serving the entirety of the restaurant (remember, it is small), you might wait a minute or two on a drink refill. Not a huge deal since everything else is great. The one gripe I have really doesnt have too much to do with the restaurant itself, but Ill throw it out there anyway...when Im enjoying a burger as well prepared as the ones offered here, Id love to wash it down with a beer. No beer at The Dive.

I took my wife here between classes since I was given a $20 Gift certificate. We had burgers. I got an overcooked bacon cheese and she got a slopper. The slopper sauce looked like something that I can not describe. I wish I took a pic... My gift certificate was removed from the table without my knowledge before we ordered. This bothered me since I had notes written on the envelope. And had to ask to get it back. We were the only people dining that afternoon and the waitress was busy cleaning while we ate. She made no attempt at friendly conversation and we felt like we had interrupted her day by stopping in. The Dive is a small place with limited parking. Our burgers and salad cost $30 I will not return or recommend.

This is "the dive," but also "The Dive LLC". Prices were a bit upscale for a "dive," but so was the overall cleanliness and the quality of the food was excellent, with focus on bbq and burgers. Since there was a long string of failed restaurants in this location before the Dive arrived, we can assume its provided steady quality in a good niche, or it would not still be in business with a steady flow of customers even for a Monday lunch. There is a small counter as well as seating in both the counter room and an adjacent room accessed up a couple steps. Bathrooms were clean but not fancy, and of course fancy would not be the word of choice for "the dive."

Some good, some bad... So, our server, Heather was amazing! We were excited to be here for our 1st time. After I got my burger, it was rare. I asked for medium well. Heather was ready to fix it when a girl named Jessie made it sound like I was a liar. Quote: ("Its supposed to be that way, let me see!") Which turned us off. Heather cared and stood up for me. I could continue to hear Jessie talking about weed loudly and "cussing" as she did so. Which is bad customer service in front of us. The food was great, but Jessie turned us from a 5, to a 3 rating! To a 2, because the owner does not even reach out to anyone on this who had a bad experience.

The Dive used to be my favorite burger joint in all of Colorado Springs. The food is cooked with precision and speed. The service is amazing. The staff is as equally as impressive. It is a pretty small restaurant that looks like a hole in the wall, but dont be fooled! The quality of food is delicious. The only reason it is getting 4 stars is because on my more recent visits Ive noticed portion sizes have drastically decreased. I ordered a side of onion rings and received 4. This blew my mind. Generally they are pretty good but only 4 onion rings for what I paid saddened me. All in all though, it is a great restaurant, unique, and tasty!

We had a long day hiking up and down the Incline and wanted to get away from the traffic. We stopped here to get some food before heading home and the service was horrendous. Waitress dri5pped off silverware that had bbq stains on the napkins that I would wipe my own mouth with. She sent a different person to get our drink order and then dropped off the drinks and said "I have another table ahead of you so Ill be right back ". There were 2 tables plus ours in the entire restaurant. 10 minutes later, she came and asked for our order...to be honest 5 sec later we were walking out the door. Very slow and pathetic service for OK food. Smh.
