was sorely disappointed this evening looking to try a different restaurant in the Olde Town Arvada area and knew I had to forewarn possible diners. If youre looking for cheap, possibly old or frozen meats or canned/bottled sugar syrups as sauces - youve come to the right place. Service wasnt awful although lackluster. Prices were amazing but after getting sushi with old cooked meat inside and chicken joint fat in a curry dish which was literally a family sized serving of rice, chicken and pure sugar clearly store bought curry sauce (very ketchup and turmeric-y more than anything) atop, well likely never be back again. The chairs at the bar are worn to the metal bracket, it feels like a Japanese Lubys at best. We saw waitresses eating behind the counter followed by grabbing a mop and heading into the restroom followed by asking us if we needed anything. We got a couple of bites down and left as soon as we could. It was worth $40 to know we shouldnt ever go back again but to keep you from wasting your money.... go literally anywhere else.

Being new to the area, my husband and I were looking for a quick, cheap sushi place near our home.. Our first (and only) experience with Kokoro was horrible. We ordered from both the sushi menu as well as their rice bowl menu. We ordered several different items, and although cheap, everything tasted disgusting. I understand that this is not mean to be a top of the line sushi restaurant, but everything tasted like chemicals (preservatives? MSG? I dont know, but it definitely tasted like I shouldnt have been eating it.) Beyond that, all of the rice was overcooked, and the shrimp in one of our sushi rolls had the casing still around the majority of the shrimp throughout the roll. Overall, my husband and I were thoroughly unimpressed and will not be returning. Very disappointed.

We have been dinning at Kokoro for a very long time. Sadly there are only two locations left open we will not be returning to this location. Every single time we have ever ordered weve been asked if we wanted steamed rice or brown rice this time we werent asked and I advised that we would like steamed rice and not brown rice. To which she replied "oh I got you." Then once I got the window to pay for our order she decided it would be appropriate to come and interrupt the gentleman at the window and tell me that "white rice was standard thats why she didnt ask." Apparently she was clearly offended that we verified what we were getting in our order and felt it necessary to tell me why she assumed what we would want and her order.

Back in February I was denied extra eggs with my ramen. I emailed and eventually forgot about it. After some time I got an email back from Masaru Torito apologizing for the delay and saying he would send out a memo that extra ramen eggs would be 1.50. I had gone back a couple times and gotten what I wanted. However today I returned and was denied the extra egg again. I told the clerk what I was told via email, he said nope no go. I asked for a manager and was told no manager was there. At 330. On a Sunday. When the restaurant is packed. Suuuuuure. Too bad. I really liked miso ramen and eggs.

I always get the chicken teriyaki bowl (sometimes with veggies). Occasionally, Ill have the California Roll or the gyoza. Its quick and consistent. If youre a party of one, try the counter. The other location at 2390 S Colorado Blvd Denver, CO 80222 was my first introduction to the place and I loved it! I was delighted when the branched out a bit and offered other locations. I wish they would offer more/other/new/different Japanese "street" food options - Id eat there so much more often if they did.

Whatever you do, dont go thru the drive thru at this Kopkoros Last time I thought I had bad service, but this time was the worst. FIrst time around, After telling me they would be right with me, I left after a ten minute wait. Second time, they left me sitting at the window for fifteen minutes!!! Two cars behind me just left. The kids at the window wouldnt even acknowledge I was there!! All this for a lousy beef bowl. If there were no stars, thats what I would have rated them. NO MORE.

Went here for lunch last week with my son and really enjoyed our meal. The curry beef bowl was great with a good sized serving. I had the brown rice which was good as well. The absolute bright spot of our meal was our waitress, Su. She was awesome! Kept my ice tea filled up and had a ready smile and great attitude. Well definetly be back. The only reason for less than 5 stars is that they dont have Coke or Pepsi products! Just some different kind of pop that my son didnt like.

Better experience than Tokyo Joes! When I arrived it was busy. I was greeted and felt welcomed as soon as I sat down by a friendly server named Aaron. I was surprised when my food arrived quickly while the quality was not compromised! I am pleased to say I will be eating here frequently and recommending it to friends and family for a delightful Japanese food experience.

As someone that spent a semester in Tokyo, I was pleasantly surprised by this place. Is it upscale Japanese cuisine? No, but I was reminded of the rice and noodle bowls I used to get at the "fast food" places in Tokyo. Tasty, a little greasy, and adequate portions. Ill definitely be stopping here again, especially if I need a quick dinner after work.

I dine here all the time because there isnt much "fast" food healthier than Kokoro. Try the chicken or salmon bowl with vegetables and teryaki sauce-- the gyoza potstickers are incredibly good too. Service is very fast and friendly, and food is typically served within 5 minutes. Try this place the next time you crave a good meal served fast.

Love their Forest Child Soup! They also have great priced sushi during happy hour, which is after 5pm. Their Spider rolls are super delicious! I also really like the Kokoro Bowl, which has both beef and chicken with some yummy vegetables. Great fast Japanese food. Have had varying levels of service though, sometimes good & sometimes bad.

Good service even though they were slightly busy. Food was soso, nothing exactly wrong with it, but definitely nothing special about it either. Ramen was bland, chicken was unseasoned and egg was over cooked. Teriyaki sauce could have come from the local grocery store. If you dont have high expectations you wont be too disappointed.

So great . Service was amazing had the best happiest server ever named SU.. she rocks. She was busy at first but took care of me quick and my food came out fast. Food is delicious, fresh and the price is amazing as well. Definitely making this my new go to for healthy chicken bowls. Overall experience was a ten out of ten!

My server Dominic was so helpful and explain what everything was as it was my first time eating at kokoro and I was able to get a veggie bowl that tasted great. Dom was on top of keeping my drink filled and making sure I had everything I needed to enjoy my meal! I will definitely be coming back as long as doms my server!
