It is a very convenient sushi restaurant, right downtown by 16th street mall, but better sushi and staff is worth the drive. The sushi was average in flavor and presentation (for restaurant sushi, far better than grocery store sushi). The rolls and rice actually held together very well, which is probably the hardest part of sushi making. What was not good was the staff. The waitress did not grasp English too well, and seemed to care more about seating new people than giving the bills to those who had eaten. I was there an hour, though only about 15 mins of this was eating, all the rest was waiting either for food to arrive, or the bill to come. An hour is not long when you are with several people and talking amongst each other, but it is long when you have eaten and just want to go home. She never came to our table other than to take our order and deliver food. I waved down another waiter to get the bill.

The crab and cream cheese spring rolls are heaven in your mouth. Seriously, I would go back and just oder 10 of them if I lived closer to it. Otherwise, they service was surprisingly bad. We ordered some from the normal menu and some from the sushi menu that you fill out with ur pencil. The waiter I guess didnt understand that we ordered some from both and threw away our sushi menu so 20 minutes after getting our food from the normal menu we were just left wondering where our shushi was. Nobody came to check on our table so we had to flag someone down to get our drinks refilled, empty plates taken and ask where the heck out sushi was. Maybe it was just a weird day but our experience with the staff was pretty bad. The food was great though.

Sushi was great.I would go here again if the service wasnt so horrible. I went last night with a friend and immediately was greeted by a unnaturally dark haired cold and fake demeanored hostess only then to hear her speaking ill and very inappropriately about the LGBTQ community. Not to mention the very derogatory racial slurs she was speaking of Asians and Latinos who just so interestingly enough are the majority of her co workers. Im not apart of the LGBTQ community nor am I Latino or Asian but I am still very appalled at how unwelcomed I felt and how uncomfortable it must have been for others around me!!!

Great lunch special, and my favorite sushi downtown. I have been to blue, and aoba, and soko just really does it for me. Good quality fish, good specialty rolls, but not pretentious. Atmosphere is nice. The one downside is their bathroom situation-it is down the elevators and through a door with a code to a shared bathroom. But hey, its downtown, sometimes that is just what you have to deal with. Their lunch special is an awesome deal, as well.

This place had such AMAZING food and the staff were all so nice! My fiancé doesnt eat raw seafood and they had great hot food options for him. He had the Chicken Teriyaki dish and loved it. I had the Lava rolls, they had so much flavor and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The crab cream cheese roll with apricot sauce was so delicious. For how fancy and delicious the food was, the prices are reasonable. We are both excited to return.

I thought sushi is supposed to be all fresh, however the avocado in all three rolls we ordered was blackened and almost rotten, we asked the waitress how come and she said it is probably the soy sauce they top it with. When the waitress approached the table she did not greet nor introduced herself, it was like we were invisible. We did not like anything we tried for the first time. We do not recommend it. 0 stars.

I love this place! I lived in Japan for 6 years and honestly cannot taste the difference. I can only say that about 3 restaurants in the entire metro Denver area. Try the aburi salmon, it is nigiri sushi with salmon, a dab of Japanese mayo, with special seasoning on top, and then lightly seared. The searing of the salmon brings all the flavors together, Im salivating as I write this. Oishi desu!!!!

Overall it was an enjoyable experience with friends but it wouldnt be my first choice if I only had one chance to visit a sushi place in town. The place was packed, which is a good thing but also slowed the service down quite a bit. Took around 40 min for our food to make it to the table :-) The soup and salad were pretty good, the sushi was average - we had the combo for two, and the sake was very good.

Delicious sushi. They accepted my order even though they were closing for the night, friendly staff. The food was incredible. I ordered to go and Ive never seen such care taken in the way the food was packaged and presented. Each roll was wrapped in foil to keep them in tact and apart from each other. The entire dish was wrapped with plastic for freshness. It looked delicious even in the styrofoam tray!

The waitress was adorable and friendly. We ordered the teriyaki salmon lunch special. It came with miso soup AND salad. The miso soup was the best Ive had at a Japanese restaurant and the salad was really tasty too. The meal came out quickly and the amount of food was plenty; I couldnt finish it all! Loved the decor, the food, and the service.

The best service Ive gotten at restaurant in all of Denver. Hands down. Im saying that despite the fact that our sushi rolls took an inordinately long time. Thats how good the service was. Friendly, personable, and fun. Made me wonder how so many other places get it wrong. Ill definitely be back.

3.5 stars. I had sushi sashimi lunch special. The tuna belly and salmon was 4 starts but the rest was not as good. I also had the Poke roll and it was fantastic. Fresh and spicy. Overall a good experience. Could have given it 4 stars but their rating is pretty high already and 3.5 seems reasonable.

There was a piece of plastic in my sushi! To access the toilet you have to leave the restaurant and take an elevator. The atmosphere and service was not great either. At least the sushi was good. But next time I am going to look elsewhere for sushi

The service was great - very attentive and helpful. Also, the Poke roll is delicious. Who knew mango and raw tuna would fit so well together! Delicious. People who work there are nice and its a very clean space. Prices are good too.

We had some sushi, roll and nigiri, the fish was good, the rice was hard and dry, it tasted like it was made two days ago. Not good for the price you paid for it. A good point was the quality and variety of fish they have.

I had a fantastic experience at soko. The location and ambience were perfect for a business lunch or anyone interested in gourmet sushi. Everything I had was fresh and arrived quite promptly. Ill be back for sure.

Terrible service. They took a the orders after 20 minutes, and it took them 45 minutes to serve the food. They FORCED us to pay a tip of 20% which they definitely didnt deserve. Food tasted okay though.
