Going to be brutally honest. This was not the best Japanese food Ive ever had. The miso soup was awful. My daughter doesnt like seafood so she ordered the chicken rice bowl. However, it tasted like seafood. My wife and I tried it and it did actually have a seafood taste. She wound up not eating the chicken but just the rice instead. My wifes dish, the chicken teriyaki (from the set menu) was very good. I had the pork and rice dish and it was okay. The waitress was very friendly. Last thing, we had to wait a long time to get out food. The place wasnt that crowded, either. We were a little underwhelmed.

I have to say that this place is more of a lowdown cafeteria than a restaurant. The pricing is a bit high for the food and experience. The decors were slapped on style. I ordered a few items to try, unfortunately, 1. The portions didnt match up to the prices 2. The dish wares were cheap 3. The seasonings lacked attention. Served mainly with minced iceberg lettuce topped with soy sauce. I give it a 3 overall because it wasnt terrible and the staffs were friendly. I wouldnt take a date here, but maybe a quick lunch of something other than American food when I dont want to run into people from work.

I had the beti ramin, it was big, delicious and a very good value.$12 was the most expensive ramin. The restaurant has everything but Sushi and Sashimi! An Authentic Japanese restaurant in the middle of J Town in Denver. Also had green tea. Karaage, and Gyoza. Both were very delicious, flavorful. Service is excellent. The place even opens at night. It wasnt crowded which is ashame. Sakura house is a great place to eat without being gouged by the price. Big portions, low price, wonderful taste.

Great service, traditional authentic Japanese food for a decent price, and the Tonkotsu ramen is the best Ive had in Colorado. Although I would wish the sizes of the bowls to be a bit bigger, the quality of the broth and the noodles is that of a ramen shop in the heart of Japan. The small portions of food are true to the Japanese culture, so if the size of the ramen is too small for you, perhaps order two! You will not regret eating here :)

The gyoza were delicious - I could have eaten a double order. I also had the tonkatsu ramen and asked for it to be made spicy. It tasted spicy but wasnt impossible to eat, I would say a 4 on a 1-10 spice scale. The ramen was the perfect thing for a cold day. The service was quick, overall it was about 45 minutes from sitting down to leaving, during lunch.

I have yet to be disappointed by anything I have tried here. Sakura House reminds me of my time living in Okinawa. Staff is very friendly and despite only the one woman taking orders she always does do with a smile no matter how busy it gets. I have brought many friends here and they have enjoyed their experience.

This is a realy great and authentic place to grab Japanese food. Love the Ramen there as well at the katsu and mabo tofu. Forgot my credit card, and they kept it safe for me. They are very friendly and reasonably priced. It is not too crowded for dinner, though they do get busy during M-F lunch.

Hole in the wall Japanese restaurant. This place has excellent spicy ramen and is relatively cheap. The only downside of this place is that it is off the beaten path and is a little dingy... But this is also what makes this place awesome

Absolutely love this place. I come back whenever I can. Delicious food, very kind staff. Greeting and thanking in Japanese gives it the entire place a great atmosphere. Cute - quaint and delicious.

Its the same family that owned Genroku some years back, and the food is just as good. Easily the best ramen in Denver, and very friendly service. I just wish it had longer hours.

Had the udon and tempura. The broth was really good and the tempura, especially the shrimp tempura, was fried perfectly. Took a while to get our food but worth the wait.

Its the only real Japanese restaurant in downtown Denver. The portions, price, and food are all spot on. The decor might not be much, but thats not an issue for me.

Its the closest Ive felt to Tokyo since my trip there last year. And the prices are easily the best in town. Highly recommended.

Sadly, no gluten-free options. But a great little hole in the wall. Feels like a good place that only the locals know about.

Service is a little bit slow, environment is a bit rough around the edges, but the food more then makes up for it.
