Let me just start by saying Ive never left a review for any reason. Im writing this review to praise one of the managers there. I ordered a salad with a few modifications. I was on my lunch break and hurried out so I wouldnt be late clocking back in. When I got back to work I checked my receipt and realized Id been over charged plus my order was wrong. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Jennifer was the manager on duty. She listened and offered to comp my next salad. I was appreciative and said Id be back the next day to take her up on her offer. When I arrived my order was already ready to go. He began putting it in a bag then stopped and asked me to check the order to make sure it was right. It turns out there was a minor detail that was wrong. I was SO grateful that he asked me to check! Do you know how mad I would have been if I got back to work and it was wrong again?! Good call young man, good call! The moral of my story is this: "stuff" happens. We are all human beings and mess up from time to time. But sometimes you can recover with great customer service, even if you mess up more than once. Mel B

This place is an unprofessional mess. They hang up on you, put you on hold forever and just seem like they need to get their act together. I called on Sunday morning, 10:00am to order a birthday cake for Monday late afternoon. First call hung up on, second call put on hold, third call about to be put on hold but I asked if I could call back when they werent so busy and the lady said what do you want? I said I wanted to order a birthday cake. We discussed flavors, sizes and price. I decided on a selection and she said wait, can you please hold? When she eventually came back on the phone she said "sorry, we are not taking any more cake orders". What??? A day and a half notice? Then to put a customer through all that and then say no orders? This place is s joke. Not coming back. They do not value customers.

Absolutely can NOT get enough. My family has been frequenting this shop since I was a child. Folks miss a lot of things about "home" when theyre abroad for study, work or a long visit. I never realize how much I miss my home until I come here. My birthday cake every year? Spicy, moist carrot cake with just enough frosting for every single bite. My treat with an award or achievement? An Eclair. Marvelous. Not those dry whipped cream filled cardboard things with waxy brown film on top. The REAL deal. A special afternoon off at the park with my hardworking mom or dad? Vegetarian sandwich on Sweet Corn with a White Chocolate cookie. Or... Italian with the Milk Chocolate Walnut cookie.... or.. Try them all. Really. Dont miss.

I ordered a custom birthday cake for my son for his The process was fairly painless. My son loves NYC subway so we ordered a Subway train cake and it came out really cute! The only weird thing is that there are some brown mountain looking thing as well that look like poops.... But i think everyone noticed the train and ignored the mountains.... Flavor wise, we got the chocolate cake and it is very good with solid chocolate piece inside! We were all really pleased with the flavor. I would definitely use them again for cake design!

When entering in the door of the Sweet Affair Bakery you immediately see a case full of delicious looking cakes and treats. We stopped by after camping on nearby Mt Diablo and ordered breakfast sandwiches. Unfortunately, they were not very good. For instance, the bell pepper was pretty dried out and obviously cut a long time ago. The avocado was similarly lacking and the croissant and sourdough rolls were surprisingly dull. The surface of table we used was very sticky as well. I would like to visit again to try the sweet items.

Ordered their turkey cranberry sandwich on multi-grain bread w/o sprouts and holy moly I think this was the best turkey cranberry sandwich Ive ever eaten! For $7.25, the sandwich was huge! And Ive never had a turkey cranberry sandwich that also included cream cheese, Swiss cheese and avocado... but now I dont think I can enjoy one without these ingredients! This is a great "hole in the wall" bakery, with a huge selection, and if youre in the area I highly recommend visiting! I know Ill be back!

I am a hospital rep and have tried to use these guys on several occasions. They have made me late every single time. They are never on time. Its rare they pick up the phone promptly or at all... Its typically a disaster zone by the register. Food is good, business is managed very poorly. Dont go there if your on a time schedule. I have moved my business to another local quality deli.

Easy to miss if youre not looking for it. Its on the ground floor of an office building and theres not a lot of space. There are a few tables that seat two and the counter. Other than that theres no place to sit inside. The sandwiches are delicious and if you call in your meal you get a delicious cookie for free. Service was a little slow and disorganized when I went.

Like the Pecan Bars they bake during Thanksgiving. Dont like how they treat/under appreciate their counter employees. Ive tried to tip the student staffed counter help and was told that the Owner will not allow them to accept tips & they cant have a tip jar! I asked why this was and was confidentially told that the owner wants the customers to focus on buying product...

We frequently get sandwiches from Sweet Affairs and the food of course is amazing but the staff is excellent and very accomodating . Today I needed to park my car in the garage but the sweet affairs staff member had my order ready to go when I got there so did not have to wait at all and was not even charged for parking since I got back to my car so quickly!!!

Enjoyed a hot chocolate there on a cold New Years Day morning. Great that the joint was open. The cheese danish was OK, and didnt have the soft croissant texture I prefer. On a whim got the chicken caesar salad sandwich, which is just what youd expect - chicken, lettuce and caesar salad dressing. Pretty good eats before my ride up Mt. Diablo.

I have given up on this place. Bread falls apart, baked goods made with margarine. Tastes good the first day, but not good if day old. The female staff tend to give you the evil eye. Cant get in and out quickly due to volume of old timers at the counter. 2nd rate place, not good quality.
