7/9/13 I PREFER MY ICE CREAM IN WINTER Sometimes I just cant say no. Which is pretty much every time I see ice cream. Thriftys ice cream will always be my favorite. With that being said, we grabbed a couple of scoops (cup for me, cone for husband) and set out to walk the warm streets of Benicia. Unfortunately, I made a giant mess of myself (youd think I was eating the cone!) I have a tendency to lip my fingers and touch the ice cream. Im like a child. Melting ice cream is my least favorite thing ever (which is why I prefer to eat it in winter). The ice cream here was pretty good. Typical ice cream shop prices but cute deco on the interior. Even some cat decorations which amused me. Ice cream and cats. Very bueno.

Stumbled in looking for desert to take home. Ordered a couple of pieces of triple-layer cake. The cute very young staff charged me $15 for the two wedges of cake that would have cost $3 each at any grocery store. I didnt have the heart to tell the staff I would of course never be back.

I ate their Turkey Cranberry sandwich, the breakfast bagel and a latte. Latte was OK not the best . The price was reasonable. If youre looking for something light to eat this is the perfect place. I did not try their ice cream.

The BEST ice cream around! Their Hawaiian Shaved Ice is bomb too. The staff could be a bit friendlier but thats the only somewhat bad thing I can think of about this place.

Great ice cream, sandwiches and excellent coffee!!! Very friendly service (new owner). Really good breakfast buffet on the weekends. Pet friendly outdoor seating.

The ice cream tastes good but the price for 2- 1scoop ice creams cups is over $5. Not really liking the price since its such a small scoop.
