Overall 4 stars. Dinner of 5 people on a weekday. The portions here are pretty small so we ended up ordering a lot of food. So cant give a perfect 5 stars for that. But other than that mostly all the food is quite amazing in taste and looks! [ Small Plates ] FISH SKIN CHIPS: Very crispy and fresh taste of two types of sauce. I personally dont like my food too salty which is why I found fish skin chips to be a great dish. It would go really good with some wine. Price: $7 5/5 stars PEA TOAST: The peas were really soft and went really well with the toast that was sliced into four pieces. Fresh taste of vegetables with warm peas and toast was a nice combination. -1 star cause I wouldnt really suggest this to be a best choice to start for it didnt surprise me enough. Price: $10 4/5 stars POACHED SHRIMP: The shrimps were really fresh and the cocktail sauce was really a treat. There were six shrimps and wished there was more cause they were really good. Price: $12 5/5 stars GRILLED OCTOPUS: -0.5 star cause I was a little disappointed for the one leg on the small plate, but the food itself was really good. The octopus was really soft and edible to the point where I wanted some more. The beluga lentils, pickled onions, and chorizos went really well with the overall dish. Price: $15 4.5/5 stars LOBSTER ROLL: I first thought it was a rip off when I saw the size of the food, but when I tasted the lobster and I knew why it was that price! The lobster was so thick and juicy that it melted in my mouth. The buttery taste that goes with it is a must try! You should not miss it! Price: $22 5/5 stars [ Entrees ] OLIVE OIL POACHED SALMON: Amazing sight I havent seen before with the foam underneath the salmon. I really love salmon and to be honest I have eaten every salmon I could find. This entree was somewhat different from the ones I had, but in a good way. It wasnt salty, but more pure in the way that I could actually taste the true texture of the salmon and the string beans hidden beneath the salmon. I like my food without too much flavor of salt or pepper so if you love those strong taste you might not like this dish. Price: $26 5/5 stars GRILLED LAMB CHOPS: I am a meat lover and I adore lamb the most. This came with two slices of lamb. -0.5 star cause I personally didnt like the seeds that came with the dish. They were really hard to chew on and that kind of bothered the enjoyment of the food. Other then that the lamb was good. Price: $32 4.5/5 stars [ Dessert ] MONKEY BREAD: The shape of the dessert was a bit special to the ones I have tried so far. The taste was very soft and sweet. It was interesting to admire the flavor from the creme that came with the dish. I had a hard time putting down my fork. Its the no.1 dessert menu and its a must try! Price: $8 5/5 stars VALRHONA BROWNIE: This comes with a peanut butter mousse that is so good! I have only tried cold ice-cream with a hot brownie before, but this dessert was quite a treat. It might taste a bit too sweet for some people might think of having coffee with it. Price: $10 5/5 stars Valet Parking: $8

Prices aside, this is a great way to start off a day at the beach. The food is amazing, and the quality makes up for the prices. Not to mention the atmosphere is chill, and the tables are made of marble. They have an extensive alcohol menu ranging from beer to a moderate list of wines. If thats not your cup of tea, they also have tea. And coffee. And other stuff. But the real reason to come here is the food. The Pea Toast with ricotta cheese and caramelized onions is something worth raving about. Not quite sweet, not quite savory, but somewhere in between, and perfectly balanced, made smooth and creamy by that delicious ricotta cheese and slathered peas. It even has a bit of a kick to it. This is one healthy indulgence you dont want to pass up. The French Toast is really delicious. Best french toast Ive had in LA. Its almost like a melt-in-your-mouth, crusty bread pudding, with a creamy center, and it comes served with a modest portion of syrup, (which you may not even need due to the sweetness of the french toast), and a healthy serving of berries and sliced banana. Careful, though. Its hotter than the sweltering streets of LA on a high Summer day. I nearly burned my tongue off scarfing it down. The famed Monkey Bread is a perfect dessert to top off any meal. Warm, cinnamon-y, fall-apart, and sitting on a small puddle of crème anglaise. The sweetness is actually balanced off with a hint of saltiness, making this one of the best Monkey Breads in LA. They suggest you share. I suggest you dont. For one, its quite small. And secondly, its too good to share. Tell your friends to get their own. The service was superb, and we even got a cute lil pear as a parting gift. Most impressive. You know what? Forget what I said about the prices. This place is worth every penny.

Ate here for a quick lunch with friends on my wife and my last day in California before heading to the airport and have to say that the food, service, and atmosphere were all great. None of us left hungry and the friendly waitstaff was always checking in at just the right time without being pushy. My wife and I split a steak and lobster roll and both of them were cooked to perfection. Honestly, I was a bit surprised with how amazing the lobster roll turned out! Our friends also got a steak and a grilled cheese and that was one HUGE grilled cheese. You are not going to go hungry on ordering it if youre even able to finish it! From what we were told it was delicious as well. The seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was a modern style with most of the seats pretty full for a late lunch on a Thursday afternoon. All around, great spot to eat at!

This place is excellent!! Finally a place that serves decent fish fair. My husband and I have been looking for fresh food with flavours at a enhance the food not cover it up. This place does it right! The mussels amazing and cleaned immaculately (nothing worst than a grainy broth) . The octopus so tender and perfectly joined with toasted almonds. Our sea bass was so large with amazing salad the while meal was what we have been waiting for on our hooneymoon. With an excellent selection of wine to join. A bit on the pricey side but its worth it to treat yourself. We would have bought a bottle but 76$ is maybe a stretch to far it would have cost more than the meal. Would come back again, the menu on there website is not the same as in the restaurant.

The food was quite tasty and creative but I have to give a poor review. One of the servers literally spilled 2 drinks on me AND dropped pea toast on my leg. While they got me some napkins, nothing on our bill was comped. I had to eat my dinner soaking wet and dirty and all they offered was a card for the manager if I wanted dry cleaning. Not particularly great customer service for a fairly expensive restaurant. Despite this: loved the pea toast replacement, the salmon tartare, and my mixed drink (again...not the one I wore home on my pants). I should note: no hard liquor at this restaurant but their mixed drinks using fortified wine are great. The location is great and the decor is really pretty...open design, lots of light colors.
